Black Thought is one of the greatest to ever do it. And very underrated
the fact that lin literally put tariq in tick tick boom and on the soundtrack just shows his true admiration for him
This is the only game where I actually believe the "random generator" is truly random. Lin and Tariq are such masters at freestyle.
Edit: Since it's the Tonight Show, it's likely scripted. But if you put Lin and Tariq in a back alley to do unscripted freestyle raps, you'd get the same quality.
It's scripted
I do feel they are scripted, but as for the actual freestyles, they have a more freestyle flow, rather than a polished style you would get from a written and rehearsed rap.
But I do know for a fact that "randomizer" button isn't random, Jon Stewart was calling him out on air, but we all know it.
I do feel the unscripted part might be that the others don't know what the other is going to say, so the reactions are more genuine.

But go search some of Lin's actual freestyle raps that aren't scripted - there's plenty on RUclips. And he does this exact same thing. Or check out Freestyle Love Supreme - Lin's group where they do freestyle rap
Both Lin and Tariq do freestyle all the time so it can perfectly well be unscripted
Look up Black thoughts freestyle on flex. Literally one of the greatest freestyles out there on the internet. This game may have been slightly scripted (or not) but its no blemish on the quality these two can actually produce.
At this point, this game is literally Lin’s whole brand
out of everyone who's done Wheel of Freestyle, Lin has done it the most, he's done it 4 times, he's that good
