Music that makes you happy is a great thing! There needs to be more of it in this world.
My favorite, probably because first time hearing Elton John was this song in 73, bought the 45 right away. Great reaction
This is one of my favourite Elton songs because it DOES make you happy. 😃
This is one of my favorates from ELTON Like you say its a very happy dancing song / Thanks JAYY
I've seen Elton probaby about 40 times, no kidding.Whenever Elton came to NYC, when this song began, everybody jumped up and danced!!! In his later years when he couldn't do the falsetto anymore, he held out the mic to the audience and we all did it for him. Jay, you owe it to yourself to go watch him do this live. It is a happy, joyous song!!!
I just listen to this and lm automatically transported back 51 years to when l was 15 years old, my first job, and this song being played everywhere! Ah the memories
From the album Don’t Shoot Me (I’m only the Piano Player) which was full of great songs. Elderberry Wine & Daniel for just 2 extra off the top of my head. Elton was untouchable during the first half of the 70s, plus on and off through the 80s
Yes Jayy. This is a real fun song. Another one I think you may like is Elton singing Philadelphia Freedom.
You got it right off the bat, Jayy ... "This just sounds like so much FUN ... " ♡🐊
Yeah Jayy....this one got you chair dancing😂
Great video and thanks. I think of this as a homage to late 50s and early 60s U.S. pop / RandR. Glad you’re enjoying it.
Always loved this one!💃💃💃✨❤️
Good rocking song
Great reaction Jayy! Two of Elton's underrated gems are - Teacher I Need You and Blues For Baby and Me.
Lovin' to watch you boogie to the song, Jayy. Fun tune that brings back great memories of early '73, carefree days partying with my friends. It made everybody happy when it came on the radio back then. A few other Elton favorites are "Elderberry Wine", "Country Comfort", "Teacher, I Need You", and "Grey Seal".
Hi Jay! Thanks for your reaction to this! This is one of my favourites of Elton John! You might like to try another oldie of his, it’s called Elderberry Wine! I think it might have been a b side to one of the singles! It’s great! Peace and Blessings to you from Australia.
Sir Elton John rocks 🎸!!!
This was used in movie four weddings and a funeral at one of the receptions.
You should check out his performance of this on the muppet show! Also his amazing duet with miss piggy doing don’t go breaking my heart. A non muppet suggestion would be take me to the pilot. It’s a fricken gorgeous song and kind of underrated.
''Your Song'' my opinion is one of his best.
There was a new trend to go "back to the 1950's," soon the TV show Happy Days came out maybe a year later. So Elton John did this one with a phony dance [never was a crocodile rock, it was made up for the song] harking back to the 1950's style. Big #! Hit , Elton John's first #1 hit in February 1973.
Elton was a big fan of Australian band Daddy Cool who had a huge hit in Australia in 1971 with a song called eagle rock, Elton and Bernie became a big fans when he toured in 72 some much so that he and Bernie wrote crocodile rock as a tribute to daddy Cool. Bernie can be seen wearing a daddy who? badge on the album and also wearing other Daddy Cool stuff on Tumbleweed connection and Honky Chateau
Sir Elton is definitely a great great artist, Hell he’s a legend, he and Bernie Taupin were a great songwriting team
I think this song hit the USA about 50 years ago!
I think you’re right! I think it came out in about 1973! I was in my mid teens! I’m SO old! Lol!
It reached #! in February 1973. I hate to admit I was 17 and in the middle of junior year in high school.
Turn Up Your Volume UP..
👏👏👏👏
I remember reading that his dad gave Elton such a hard time as a kid because Elton John wanted to go into becoming a musician that Elton years later after his dad passed away Elton refused to go to his dad's funeral wonder what his dad thinks now if he's in heaven or hell?
Hey girl when you get a few, would you do "Relax" 1963 Elvis, (Worlds Fair)? Love ya girl.
Heard recently Elton John never liked this song. He stated once he stops performing he will no longer be playing this song.
JAYY, you really should watch him perform this on The Muppet Show. You wanna talk fun? Peace/JT
YT has it. Elton John - Crocodile Rock (1972) at The Muppet Show
In Oct 1970, Elton came out with Your Song. After that was Levon, Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man, Honky Cat, Crocodile Rock (his 1st number 1), Daniel, Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Bennie and the Jets, Candle in the Wind, and Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, all by May 1974. All of these are excellent, great songs. Of the four songs you haven't listened to yet, Bennie and the Jets is probably the best. hint hint
There was Amoreena, from the Dog Day Afternoon soundtrack, too.
@@christhornycroft3686 Amoreena was not a single. I was listing all the amazing/great string of hit songs that Elton released between his debut (first song I heard by him) and his last big hit in the classic Elton John era. I don't think Amoreena ever got played on the radio.
Ok im old!' We used to roller skate to this
Ayy
PLEASEeeeeeeeee watch the movie Rocketman!!!!!!!!!!!!
From the same album try "Teacher i need you "
