Quick note: it appears the Legacy of Darkness packs might be real. When I had looked it up beforehand I found pictures of ones using the old Konami logo, but I guess I didn't do enough research. So just ignore that section :)

Legacy of darkness also came out in 2004 or 2005 iirc. The english debut of the series was in 2002, so idk what that 1996 thing is all about.
1996 was the year the manga first came out. So it’s like a copyright date.

Everyone knows the only way to organize your Yu-Gi-Oh cards is by average Atk/Def value.

I do actually organize by Attribute for my trade binder. There are commons worth more than ultras. It is also easier to search for specifics that way.

To be fair, Dark Magician has the hidden summoning condition to summon itself from hand when you have no cards on field so you can attack for game. This card straight up plays through a full Thunder Dragon board. If you could get it for $50, that would be a steal.

People who are the reason "Commenters don't understand X" videos exist are cringe , but the truly cringiest it gets is the kind of people who have no idea how much they are overestimating the price of their cards.
A lot of people overestimate the value of a lot of things because their logic is "this is very old so this must be worth a lot of money".

Why not go to the local card shop? When I went to mine I found ultra rare blue eyes dark magician ect for extremely cheap the most we paid for a blue eyes was 2 dollars cause it was a ultra rare prismatic type card it was from the movie backs had the gold around the outskirts of the card so that's why lol

Those legacy of darkness packs were real vintage packs, that konami logo is the one used when that pack was released, you can tell that they are not the legendary collection ones because they have that thing above the english edition that says "for US and Canada", but $100 for those packs is still a lot even if they are real legacy packs
Just had to double check and no, that's wrong. The original packs of Legacy of darkness had the old Konami logo.

I think tha the blue eyes is a original work art by the manga autor (kazuki thakashi) released as shonen jump promo, the price is variable but really is a limited card.
I think I'm gonna put a bunch of cards in a Altoids container and call them mint condition.
Also, yuhioh wasn't released in the west until 2002, but the packs (to this day) say 1996, which usually means the seller doesn't know anything about yugioh

I actually had a opposite issue. I was attempting to sell my 1st edition Dark Magician Girl from Magician’s Force (and it was still in pretty good condition). I used a couple of sites that buy cards and I priced it at about $200 on FB Marketplace (since the sites were offering almost $300 for it at the time). Some rando was trying to talk me down to $25. Like dude, I know what I have here. I may not get $200 but I am NKT selli got for just $25. Basically told him to screw off. I ended up selling to one of those websites and got about the $200 anyway once they evaluated it’s condition.

Oh no I opened a old box of my Yu-Gi-Oh cards and I used to sort by attribute too. What have I done I sandwich my ancient fairy dragon between two Copies of Kaibaman, I some how thought I was good a Yu-gi-oh back then.

Not Yu-Gi-Oh related, but I saw someone trying to sell psp games but they didn't have the plastic cover. Those covers protect the disc and keep it held in the PSP, also it was being sold for 40 bucks
