The trend of directors and actors lying and saying that VFX heavy movies didn't use any VFX / CGI at all, must feel great if you are one of the many VFX artists who spent endless hours to make the movie possible.
Godzilla won because with a small budget he did incredible things, many say that the creator and guardians in CGI were better and yes it is true but the creator's fanboys do not know There are people voting and they watch the films before choosing a winner and if the academy enjoyed Godzilla minus one even with its limitations, then that's why they chose it and the truth is well deserved. That's the reason why he won as a fan of Godzilla, I'm happy about that because the creator seemed like a trash movie to me, the truth is, that's why it failed at the box office. Since that Godzilla movie was announced at the Oscars, it was known that it was going to win because the academy liked it a lot. It's that easy, they choose, not the fans of the movies.
You are doing great videos really keep up the good work! I hope someone like Mission Impossible who tried to promote 'NO VFX IN THIS MOVIE' wins the VFX Oscar it would be hilarious lol
I think they looked very good, but I see where you're coming from. I think part of me just likes the idea of this small team earning recognition for their still incredible work, rather than seeing go to ILM for the 100th time (; I think there is some merit in being able to produce such high quality fx with such a small team that should be taken into consideration when judging too.
@@crafthive I believe ILM won a last oscar back in 2006 for the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and nothing since then. What they did in Creator is also big achievment.
@@crafthive Yeah, I can see that... but the award is not called "Best Special effects on a Budget" is called BEST Special Effects. And even though Godzilla Minus One has great effects and has all the merit in the world to be recognized for their efforts, specially for such a small team and budget, there are shots in the film that looked a little iffy... is not impeccable 100% and it can't be because it didn't have enough money/people. The Creator is immaculate regarding it's VFX and SHOULD win.
Awesome work, I'm really surprised that you haven't been pushed by RUclips algorithms. Bc maaan, your videos are great! And one more thing, do you have a Discord group or plan to create it?

It's happened to me on a few occasions. Not a great feeling for sure. It's become more funny than upsetting at this point, to be honest.
Im glad Godzilla won.
I am too!

Godzilla and The Creator are both WILD in the way that they approached VFX and budget
4:09 OUCCCCCH!!!! I feel attacked 😂😂😂
Hah oh no! Your stuff is super fun, but might not be winning any Oscars yet
@@crafthive yeah of course 😆

Godzilla won :3
Yes! it's Awesome!
Balanced review
What is so shit about the CGI in the very forgettable movie 'Ambulance'?
That'd be a question for Michael Bay himself (: Apparently he wasn't happy with some of the shots. I assume he ran out of budget and time.
VFX on Godzilla are not that good. It's impresive that it was done by so small team but still, not a Oscar worthy excellence.
