A GT 40 is a beautiful thing, A GT 40 in motion is twice as beautiful. I've never wanted to be rich, until Ford, made the then new GT. I turned the page in Car & Driver, and there was a red with white stripes. Then I wished I could afford one. I know it's not the same, but it'd be close enough for a mere mortal like me. This film stirred those same feelings.
Build quite an accurate replica for a little more than a fake Cobra. I had a sit in a replica recently, wow it was really something. Pedals out of line with the seat and steering wheel just lime the genuine cars and running a 347 stroker, so not an expensive engine to build.
What a dream of being with these guys it would be. Just to talk with FORD owners what have these types of GT40's that can only go faster as they get older in history. Keep it up and keep it going guys. God must have owned a Ford as well as a Harley!!!! :)

no oil just v small gearbox leak- burnt on exhaust- if a leak no go from scrutineers

Love the torque of FEbigblock 427s they don't rev like Windsor's and boss blocks but you don't have to spank them to stay on the sweet spot

Watch some of Carroll Shelby interviews on his Ford Journey, so fascinating.

the low gearing and massive V8 power meant you could cruise at 100 mph though most of those turns.
