Danyame is actually heavily fantes. The town was designed and built by the British colonial government for their workers (who at that time were heavily Fantes). You need to understand that Kumasi, just like any other major city in Ghana, is a mixture of different tribes
@@KOH2423 Where in the world did you guys get this bs history that the British designed and built Danyame? Jealousy will destroy a lot of you people. There are people like you going around saying that other towns in Kumasi were built by the British like Asafo, Ashtown, Ayeduase and other towns.. lol why do you people do this? Making it seem like the Ashanti's didn't even build the current Kumasi but foreigners and other tribes did .. And you people don't even provide any evidence you just say stuff, spreading a bunch of lies.
@@yahwada649 Danyame is a government area filled with government bungalows and occupied by government workers. How did Ashantis build that town? That town was inherited from the British colonial government
@@KOH2423 lmao what? where's the evidence that the British colonial government established Danyame? Government bungalows? So that means Danyame was built by the British? There're countless sources that shows that the locals in Ashanti region rejected many of the British colonial plans. "In the 1940s, the District commissioner revived Akan courtyard architecture with British influence but this received poor reception from the locals for its unsanitary and uncomfortable conditions. In 1944, the District Commissioner promoted the construction of nuclear settlements in Kumasi Zongo which received mixed reception. European residences within this period were characterized by Bungalows.[27] Schmidt argues that the British colonial government segregated Kumasi’s residential districts on racial lines" Lol government bungalows? so that means the British planned Danyame? lol what? again show us the source that shows that the British planned Danyame..
