Here in America insurance companies work hard to weasel their way out of any responsibility payment wise. In fact here in NC, they'll only pay out when there is a party 100% at fault for any accident. As years ago my grandmother got hit by another car at a four way intersection when someone blew the stop sign. The other driver was found to be 90% at fault, but my grandmother was found to be 10%at fault so they refused to pay for the repairs. I think she eventually got it sorted out by proving she wasn't at fault at all, I do know her car was repaired eventually. I also know that they at least cover random acts of nature, as in my case I was coming home at night and had a deer run into the side of my car. Thankfully, this was covered, yet any chance they can get to not have to pay something they will take it. It's completely backwards too, you pay so much to them yearly, and even have a good driving record, yet they still will try not to help you or pay for the repairs. I understand uninsured drivers are partially to blame here given the costs they rack up, yet for the ones that follow the rules it sucks that they punish us so damn hard.
Now imagine the American auto insurance system but instead of insuring cars, insuring people's health. That's why you have Americans paying health insurance but being unable to afford to use it.

I've, sadly, been in several accidents (ironically, as soon as I got my dashcam it seems like my car is an accident repulser instead of attractor), and I have never heard of what decisions the "other" insurance company has made. My insurance pays for my car - we are required to get uninsured motorist insurance, too, so even if the driver that caused the accident was uninsured, you're still covered. My insurance company went after the other insurance to pay my deductible, even. They sent me checks for diminished value without me having to ask. So no, I don't know what's going on here, or how (or why) these cammers would know what decisions the other driver's insurance made. But then again, I've never had an "at fault" accident, so maybe that's part of it.
have to congratulate the cammer at 2:22, keeping that distance between them and the car in front was the only thing stopping another collision, not many people do that, even I admit i dont all the time.
7:15 driver has no situational awareness could have been easily avoided if they paid any attention to every other car on the road braking, but no instead they continue to cruise until its too late
The cammer also made the situation worse by laying on the horn. The natural reaction to hearing a car horn blaring at you is to apply the brakes, as was demonstrated by the truck slowing down even more as they were turning. Danette needs to go back to driving school.
7:30 jesus. Also, it is not impossible to come to a dead stop if the person infront of you does. He is about 1.2 seconds behind him, instead of 2. He doesn't slow down when the car infront does as well. The road would be a safer place if people could swallow their ego and focus on their own mistakes, no matter who caused it.
It's also hat that cars in the right lane were clearly braking. When guys in the next lane are braking, and guys directly ahead of you are braking, youngest might need to hit the left pedal. Gotta read the course.
But still the rear ending would be cammers fault for not keeping enough distance or not paying attention. The turning car could also have stalled, therefore blocking the road.
@@ralphpotowski-pn5hn An accident would be their fault, but wasn't, because they slowed down enough to avoid the accident (they were doing exactly what you were saying - there was no accident imminent). @@maartendetemmerman393 It doesn't matter how heavy the traffic is. If they had been going half the speed it would have been fine, but in this case the cammer was not at safe following distance for the speed they were going. The objective is to get there safely, not "I'm going to get there 60 seconds faster by making sure nobody goes in front of me."
At 3:15, hitting your horn when they are already almost out of the way is freaking idiotic. It is worse than useless to hit your horn just because you are irritated with another driver. All you do is make them hesitate. If someone is coming at you and you want them to stop, sure the horn is great. The car with the dash cam made it worse for themselves. The fact the other driver hesitated while pulling out is because they were honking.

9:42 - Usually, law dictates the one one who is at best to avoid an accident, should be the one to act. The cammer, even though they were mostly in the lane first, had a better opportunity to avoid an accident, and shouldn't have given up the spot or backed up. The road has no place for egos!
That's why you should always check *two* lanes over before you change lanes. Obviously the Penske driver didn't do that either, but he was starting to signal as the cam car moved over.
A poster from another country noted that, in their country, the person farther behind had the obligation to let the person farther ahead go. I know it would make a lot of people here get all bent out of shape about giving up their lane, but it would prevent a lot of accidents, too, which is the point. It wouldn't just apply here, but in all such cases - merges, too. The point is not to be a jerk and "stake your claim" in your lane, it's to get where you're going safely. Too much ego gets in the way.
That Hyundai driver is a piece of work, but the cammer instigated this whole thing - the Hyundai wouldn't even have "cut them off" if the cammer didn't speed up to block them. When they enter the highway, the Hyundai passes the cammer in the right lane - did they look all road ragey then? No. They don't jerk into the cammers lane - they pull ahead and signal, then cammer cuts them off by speeding up (yes, changing speed to block a lane change is considered reckless driving). Then Hyundai, still not road raging, stops their move into the next left lane when the see the cammer moving there - they don't seem to want any trouble - if they wanted to prevent the lane change, they would have. Then cammer pulls up next to them, mouths "f u" to them, pulls ahead, starts doing the lame windshield washer BS... What follows is the dance of two douchenoodles doing douchenoodle things, putting everyone else on the road in danger, because of their inability to just let things go.
@@draydenferguson3128 Long interactions as such with this example, are usually the fault of both drivers, as they both slowly escalate things, intentionally or not. 07:15 Based on the road markings, the cammer is following the car in the front with less than 1 sec of distance. This is called tailgating and obviously you don't have time to stop when something happens. You need at least 3x the following distance.
7:40 was the cut back to the right intentional by the truck driver? I assume he just couldn't stop in time initially so he swerved left into the other lane, but why'd he go back right- it looks like there was still space in his lane? Was it a decision to sacrifice those cars rather than plow into more further up?
My guess is that he swerved left to avoid hitting the person in front of him, then pulled the wheel right to stay in the 'new' lane. But, he over compensated and ended up swerving right instead of straightening out.

Nonetheless the "near hit" is an over reaction...
The cammer also made the situation worse by laying on the horn. The natural reaction to hearing a car horn blaring at you is to apply the brakes, as was demonstrated by the truck slowing down even more as they were turning. Danette needs to go back to driving school.

That fool had enough time to react. Dummy spent more time blowing his horn, instead of slowing down to avoid an accident.
yes but how about they don't partially block the road when turning on a turn lane?
But still the rear ending would be cammers fault for not keeping enough distance or not paying attention.
The turning car could also have stalled, therefore blocking the road.
@@ralphpotowski-pn5hn An accident would be their fault, but wasn't, because they slowed down enough to avoid the accident (they were doing exactly what you were saying - there was no accident imminent).
