      Still isn't the worst wreck I've seen, the truck driver managed to (seemingly) hit cars in such ways that the occupants might not have been too terribly injured.
      I also had someone almost side-swipe (well, *RAM)* my Silver 99 Suburban from an onramp. All while I was the only car around for at least half a mile, and he went maybe 75 - 85 in a 55 zone. If I didn't brake last second while he came up from my rear side, bang.
      I used my mirror just in time to see danger coming. Maybe I had a window slightly open, and then I subconsciously heard the car coming, but I'm not sure if I did - it was at least 5 years ago. I do remember that I looked at the Clock right afterwards, though. I kid you not, the clock said 4:20 PM. Whether that's coincidence, or if the idiot was lighting up marijuana and not paying attention while going maybe 80 MPH on an onramp and nearly hitting me, I don't know.
      ... Oh, and he left at the very next exit. An exit that was *only* 3/4 of a mile away from the onramp he nearly hit me at.

    I don’t even understand how all these drivers know that the other party’s insurance company denied or refused to cover the claim. In Australia we just put a claim into our insurance company and they immediately cover the repairs (that’s why you pay them). They then deal with the other insurance company and sort out who is at fault and try to recover the costs from the other insurance agency (that’s why you pay them).All that stuff is done behind the scene and we know nothing about what the two companies conclude (that’s why we pay them).

    • @kid10249595
      @kid10249595 Год назад +18

      Here in America insurance companies work hard to weasel their way out of any responsibility payment wise. In fact here in NC, they'll only pay out when there is a party 100% at fault for any accident. As years ago my grandmother got hit by another car at a four way intersection when someone blew the stop sign. The other driver was found to be 90% at fault, but my grandmother was found to be 10%at fault so they refused to pay for the repairs. I think she eventually got it sorted out by proving she wasn't at fault at all, I do know her car was repaired eventually. I also know that they at least cover random acts of nature, as in my case I was coming home at night and had a deer run into the side of my car. Thankfully, this was covered, yet any chance they can get to not have to pay something they will take it.
      It's completely backwards too, you pay so much to them yearly, and even have a good driving record, yet they still will try not to help you or pay for the repairs. I understand uninsured drivers are partially to blame here given the costs they rack up, yet for the ones that follow the rules it sucks that they punish us so damn hard.

      I've, sadly, been in several accidents (ironically, as soon as I got my dashcam it seems like my car is an accident repulser instead of attractor), and I have never heard of what decisions the "other" insurance company has made. My insurance pays for my car - we are required to get uninsured motorist insurance, too, so even if the driver that caused the accident was uninsured, you're still covered. My insurance company went after the other insurance to pay my deductible, even. They sent me checks for diminished value without me having to ask.
      So no, I don't know what's going on here, or how (or why) these cammers would know what decisions the other driver's insurance made. But then again, I've never had an "at fault" accident, so maybe that's part of it.

      That Hyundai driver is a piece of work, but the cammer instigated this whole thing - the Hyundai wouldn't even have "cut them off" if the cammer didn't speed up to block them. When they enter the highway, the Hyundai passes the cammer in the right lane - did they look all road ragey then? No. They don't jerk into the cammers lane - they pull ahead and signal, then cammer cuts them off by speeding up (yes, changing speed to block a lane change is considered reckless driving).
      Then Hyundai, still not road raging, stops their move into the next left lane when the see the cammer moving there - they don't seem to want any trouble - if they wanted to prevent the lane change, they would have. Then cammer pulls up next to them, mouths "f u" to them, pulls ahead, starts doing the lame windshield washer BS...
      What follows is the dance of two douchenoodles doing douchenoodle things, putting everyone else on the road in danger, because of their inability to just let things go.
