Don't worry too much about the cleanup videos. Many of us enjoy it. There's something relaxing about watching/listening to someone else clean up especially if you are doing a similar task or doing other work. I think it hearkens back to times when chores were not done alone but as a group and that made those chores more enjoyable because you had something to look forward to.

Love the new pots! The older pots look awesome flanking the walkway! I think Aaron is right about removing the boxwood hedge leading to the fireplace. It throws everything off. In the long run, you’ll be happier.

  • @tammym110

I think the triple fountain you installed a couple of years ago in the front would look better in the center of the brick area now that you installed the XXL containers in each corner. I think Aaron is right about the boxwoods. At least the interior ones. Remember how right he was about removing the circle boxwoods. Now you have a spectacular pond

The children popping out of the pots was too stinking adorable! I kept thinking, "When planting children in pots........." Those pots at each corner bring so much detail to the space while grounding and defining it. I just love them. When watching Aaron and Paul set those pots I thought how lucky to have 2 strapping young men around! Love this channel, you are hands down my favorite morning diversion.

Aaron is spot on with removing those 2 boxwood hedges that look really out of place now. It's a similar situation to that boxwood circle that Laura resisted for years on taking out, and what a beautiful difference that made once gone. I would be chomping at the bit to get rid of them.

The kiddos popping up out of the pots 👍🏻🤣🤣😎😎 Eliminating the walkway is the best solution!! Keep the far boxwood row as is, and just take out the row that is adjacent to the brick patio!! 💕 Those pots are fantastic, sooooo big! Perfect to scale for the gorgeous patio area! ⛱️

Love seeing the large pots being placed. The music that played while they wheeled them over is what plays in my head now every time I'm in my garden tackling a project. Love it so much. While you were in that area, I kept picturing a beautiful simple, white carport where the vehicles are parked and a Hartley-worthy arbor leading from it. First off, the kiddos in the pot... that was so adorable and made me smile/laugh! Loved it! ❤
Second, I think you should get rid of the boxwoods along the path to the fireplace area (or at least take out the ones close to the new big pot). All of that will look too busy and fight each other when the new boxwoods get placed.
Love the 2 planters that you relocated to flank the path. They look like they have always been there. 😊

Whenever I place such a large pot I put a gravel base under it so it doesn't shift or tilt.

The pots are perfect for that area and I love the beautiful blossoms that popped up from one of them! So sweet!. It's amazing how the clean up of the plants makes Spring seem closer. 💕

So excited for your family. I've been watching for quite a while. I've loved watching how your property evolves. I've learned so much from watching you and Aaron.
First thing in the morning with my coffee I watch your videos. Thank you Laura and Aaron! ❤

Oh! Hello Laura; It’s been awhile for sure; like seeing an old friend. ❤️ from zone 4 in Alberta Canada. We were out today cleaning up the overgrown willows around the pond. Productive work, came inside with frozen toes and after getting comfy, turned on my phone and it was Garden Answers!! Yay! ❤️from zone 4 Alberta 🇨🇦

Enjoyed this video and imagining how your planting spaces in the brick patio bed will come alive this Spring. You mentioned a
possible water feature in this center round patio bed. A large, orb glazed-sphere fountain would compliment the brick pattern
arcs on the four corner beds, and play off the roundness of the new extra-large pots that were placed on the periphery of this lovely area.

so sweet to see Samantha and Benjamin pop up out of that pot......Laura, how about getting a HOT TUB for that centre?? That would be useful, and give your family some enjoyment......since its close to your gathering places..... then decorate around the Hot tub.......you deserve a Hot Tub girl -- Laura will you be planting some Bridal Wreathe Spirea this year?? Also, show us what you do with your raspberries before spring comes.......

Love the pots they look great. That boxwood hedge I agree with Aron. It’s to skinny to get to the fire place. Just remove it back to the circle part. Yeah they need to go. Great clean up job looks fantastic. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.💯💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

What a special treat, seeing Benjamin and Samantha Grace poping up and down in the new pots. I just loved it. Q Laura, regarding like the thrips and spider mites. If we are doing our cleaning out of old folages and putting them in other sections of our property, will the bugs still make it into our flower gardens?

Great video, I love you huge pots, can't wait to see them all planted. Little Benjamin and Samantha Grace are so cute, they are really enjoying y'alls warm weather. We are having delightful weather in ne Oklahoma right now. It got up to 70 degrees today. No freezing weather for the next 10 days. I just hope stuff don't bud out, because you know we still have alot of winter to go.

I agree with Aaron to get rid of the older boxwoods by the fire place and figure out another way to join those areas. Maybe the wisteria could be relocated somewhere else too.

I came to gardening late, at 65 inspired by watching Aaron and Laura do what they do. I've learned that whatever I try, no matter what, it's fun to learn, and if all I can do is water my few potted plants or help repot a friend's , I can enjoy the gardens around me that I see all more by knowing what effort has gone into them, and saying so when the opportunity arrises.arises.
Thanks Laura! such a blessing you and Aaron are to so many of us!!!
