Hello llnur, i am coming to Kazan soon and i am looking for a school for my kids. They don’t speak Russian, but they speak English. I am not sure where i can find a list if international schools in kazan. Please guide me.
Quality assurance in our school will be better if done regularly as part of a system. But in reality, we only get to check these things whenever we go through accreditation process.
You are right. I believe it is about being proactive in this sense - not waiting till someone comes and inspects you but taking the responsibility and leading the process. In a way, quality assurance is a matter of a specific mindset and skills.
In the Early Childhood sector here, schools hire quality assurance specialists to ensure high quality education. It is a very important aspect of school growth and development. Great seeing your new upload. Keep them coming
That's the internal quality assurance technique, right? Do you see any negative aspects of this solution for the US schools? Thank you, a new video is coming soon hopefully, I am in the middle of editing it.
@@IlnurMiftakhov yes internal. At one private school organization I worked for they had a group of schools and the quality assurance specialist oversaw all the schools. I think if well executed its a great concept but, sometimes too many hands in the soup can spoil the soup. At that organization the hierarchy of leadership(owner, multiple directors, assistant directors, administrative assistants etc.) was a bit much and discombobulated. So much confusion🤦♀️.
@@littlerubiesdaycare that sounds like an amazing case for a study. When you say 'discombobulated' - who do you mean as an actor? I mean, who's feeling is this?
Yes, like the previous comments, its unfortunately, the worst situation that the institution works only to commit with the QA criteria only if there is approaching visit from the accrediting body
As for curriculum issues - it depends again. You choose a definition of education quality that you will be relying on in your research and then look at curriculum through this selected lens. For example, if you chose absence of problems model of education quality, then you will be writing about how curriculum helps an educational institution to avoid problems, etc.
Thanks for the great video! I'm going to be a program reviewer in my country (Canada) and would love to know if you have any resources or tips for those who have to go onsite to different educational institutions and perform educational reviews (effective techniques for gathering information, ways to make people feel comfortable about the process, ways to connect with staff and students etc.). Our training begins next week but I wanted to see if you had any suggestions. Thanks again and all the best.
Wow, it's always great to meet a colleague! Well there are thousands of tips on how review techniques, they do differ based on your context and review goals. I am pretty sure you will be given most of the necessary tips for your context at your training. In case you don't feel that's enough and if you still want some more general advice, I would refer to ChatGPT if I were you. As for some more in-depth and sophisticated review techniques, I wouldn't expect them to be found anywhere online, I strongly believe they can only be developed/created yourself (or with help of some other professional) with close attention to your given aims and circumstances. Have a great day!
Hello, I am currently conducting my research about quality assurance. I would like to ask if you have any reference or studies that I can use as reference for developing a quality assurance franework for a specific program?
Hello, I can not name any references but I can just articulate the common logic behind these issues: if you need to assure quality for a specific [educational] program, you have to: 1. Be very clear about the intended learning results of the program. 2. Be very clear about how these learning results are meant to be achieved (in terms of teaching methods, learning environment, etc.) 3. Develop certain methods of checking whether the overall process is bringing you to the intended results. It might be something like creating milestones of a learning project, conducting assessment, gathering interim feedback, etc. 4. Describe all these approaches as a wholistic system - and that will be your "quality assurance framework for a specific program".
Well, to me, both of these terms are very close. QA focuses more on making sure the needed level of quality is achieved, thus, possibly switching to more of a controlling mode. QM sounds a bit broader, because it doesn't have this heavy focus on controlling but rather on adjusting the overall system in order to achieve quality
@@IlnurMiftakhov That means quality assurance is more specific than quality Management... SO if want to achieve or improve quality Management at higher education institutions what best variable to use strategic planning or leadership style?
@@salemkatrani3847 Quality is a complex issue. Which means it is made up from a number of different factors (elements) that are somehow connected and related to each other. Due to this very multitude, you cannot find just one simple answer here, the answer is always complex. To improve quality management at HE institutions, you first need to analyse the situation in terms of who are the stakeholders and how happy they are. Then, you need to develop a vision of the future for the organisation. Then, develop a strategy of getting to this future image. The strategy will involve things like changing organisational structure, culture, processes and metrics. Then, you need to actually perform all these. And somewhere there the factor of your leadership style will also take place - it will reflect on whether your staff buys in, whether they believe in all this initiative, whether they support it, etc.
