DIY WOODEN LATHE | PART 1 | BED AND HEADSTOCK

- Опубликовано: 11 янв 2020
- Since I have my new drill press, the old one was standing unused in my workshop. So I decided to make a small wooden lathe out of it. The main parts i used to make this wooden lathe were the motor, the pulleys, the bearings, the belt and the power switch.
In this video i make the bed of the lathe, the headstock and the drive shaft assembly.

Sehr cooles Projekt, bin schon gespannt auf die nächsten Folgen.👌👍
COOL! Very intresting to watch an expert working wood and metal to built an engine lathe. My respects Master.
Im making one too and this has tons of great ideas, thanks!
Wow wow wow... I'm speechless with your great work! I'm expecting the second part very excited!
Well done! I can't wait to see part 2.
I have to admit that you are making a smashing job of this and I am pleased to see that you are using proper bearings so it should last a long time my only worry is that round saw with no guard I think that I would be missing some fingers if I was using that keep up the good work looking forward to seeing part 2.
I enjoy watching you make things. Your attention to detail, your penchant for precision and the inventive yet uncomplicated way you approach your projects makes them a delight to watch.
love your vids man! keep up the good work.
Hi,
Klasse gemacht! Bin schon auf Teil2 gespannt!
Great looking lathe
Fantastic work, dude! Really well done! 😃
Tolles Projekt wie immer super gemacht
It seems you are starting 2020 with full power :-)
Nice Lathe! You might try a link belt I put one on my drill press like yours and it nearly eliminated all the vibration. I may be using that old drill press for a lathe in the future! Happy Woodworking!
Very good, congats!
this is great inspiration
I think it would cut down on vibration on the headstock if you put a spring between the motor and your headstock to hold more tension on the drive belt. Just my .02 and that's probably all it's worth ;-)
