Almost everytime you upload something, I share it with a rather small group of very close friends here in Poland. This group is not big, only few guys, my father and sometimes my girlfriend and my daughter. But those are my closest people on earth and I love them, so my motivation to do so, comes straight from the heart. Because - and this is the bottom line I would like to pass to you - for me your work is a great example of human capabilities to embrace QUALITY, EFFORT, WISDOM and... - watch out, a big word coming ;) - HOPE. I think the way you approach your craft is so sincere, so humble, and so focused, that somehow it manages to be one of rather few in my bubble "real-life examples" of the fact that opposition to today world's chaotic and short-term philosophy is... actually possible. Therefore, thank you for sharing more than just a "DIY tool making process" - thank you for sharing ...an approach to life, so to speak. Kudos!

This video ranks in the top 5 of all great tutorials showing how to build from start to finish, piece by piece with why and how. AND without speaking a word. There are very few people that can teach without talking. I now have to start studying all your work from your first post to date. VERY well done.
I love watching a perfectionist at work. It resonates with my approach to things. My heart is satisfied just watching you execute from demonstration to actual build of the tool.
Having only 1 arm and leg, a lathe was one tool I thought I'd never use again. But this is brilliant. This might be just the thing I need since routers are my most used tool Thank you Koubou Sensei!!!

Fyi, handheld routers have been used since 1908 making them somewhat primitive compared to todays "no hands" CNC's. Btw, who's using a router with "one hand?"

I've built two different router / lathe copy devices now, and I'm always amazed by the cut quality you get. Something about a spinning router bit meeting a spinning surface can lead to some pretty big tear-outs and exploding wood shrapnel. Your devices never seem to suffer from those issues. Believe me I've watched these videos many, many times to examine the exact speeds, stiffness of engineering, router bits, etc. Difficult to replicate
For almost a year I have followed your channel and have been making these unique tools based on your designs, but only very recently did I look at your "flapping airplanes" designs. I have long thought of you as a clever and talented guy, but I now see you for the genius you really are. Well done my friend, you are an inspiration :)

Your thoughts create your feelings. If you think you can't, then you're only limiting yourself I can make this. Hell, I even think I can improve it (it's already amazing, and I would only "finish" it with some protective varnish and wax a few areas to protect them from moisture since I'll likely use this outdoors until my shop gets built)

An interesting project might be taking the duplication rig portion and marrying it to a small wood lathe such as the ones Jet sell. The duplication rig would have to be attached in a manner to the bed of the lathe. Most likely locked into place, so the duplication rig can be used with multiple piece work like rail or chair spindles. Great work on your part, keep up the fantastic content!

Ваши работы достойны уважения. Но по этому станку есть вопросы : 1) долго ли проживут дрель, фрезер при таком биении заготовки? Понимаю что обрабатываете древесину. Но интересно. 2) необходим пылеотсос, нужно заботиться о своём здоровье, ждём от вас новых роликов. 3) зачем именно фрезер - для копирования достаточно хороших резцов. Ждём улучшения конструкции и ответов на вопросы. Удачи вам и новых проектов!
я так понимаю, был бы станок с запасом мощности, тогда да, резцы. но у дрели крутящий момент в разы ниже. резцом ты ничего не снимешь, только опилок намолотишь или дрель спалишь. фрезер действительно намного эффективнее.

Автор постоянно что-то "колхозит" ( в самом наилучшем понимании этого слова) из того, что в почти в каждой мастерской есть. в данном случае из дрели и фрезера. канал именно про это, как из подручных средств, за смешные деньги (в данном видосе, в районе 3-4 тыс руб.) сделать приспособу, чтобы работала, когда надо и побыстрому разобрать, когда не надо.
@@garry3201 Есть дрель ударная, есть аккумуляторные и от сети, есть дреммель. Станок сделал с живым двигателем от стиралки. Скорость вращения регулируется. Проблем нет. Ещё вопросы есть? Фрезер ещё добавлять? Зачем? Котлеты отдельно, мухи отдельно! Есть желание укокошить биением подшипники и в дрели, и в фрезере... ваш выбор. Пожалуйста - флаг вам в руки и барабан на шею! Не стоит,, колхозить", надо делать качественное оборудование чтобы не маяться потом в поисках запчастей.

You used oil for rails (16:56 and 17:12). When you are working, for example 23:05, dust is falling on the rails. Do you wash the rails every time or how you deal with it?
A very good and respectful idea to first present the result and its application before the "making of" begins. In this way, every viewer can decide right from the start whether they are investing their time and attention sensibly. This is certainly not a disadvantage for the project shown here. Thank you for showing how it works befor making me watch the whole thing to see how it works. So regular wood lathes you can't cut deep without serious dangerous actions. With the router as long as the pace is smooth enough it shouldn't be able to cut about 1/2 at a time.
That's a great build. I did notice the shavings getting in the way of your roller guide though. Maybe a compressed air line directed at the guide rail would keep it clean during operation.

You could get yourself a CNC wood lathe. One can still enjoy the craft that way.

JSKさんも同様に見事です、お金を出して機械工具を買う事は簡単な事ですがなかなか難しい所もありますよね、手間を惜しまず作り上げる姿は素晴らしいです。
因みに私の想像ですが台座に鉄鋼フラットバーにしたのはアルミだと強度的に不安だと感じたのですよねー(多分?)

You used oil for rails (16:56 and 17:12). When you are working, for example 23:05, dust is falling on the rails. Do you wash the rails every time or how you deal with it?

So regular wood lathes you can't cut deep without serious dangerous actions. With the router as long as the pace is smooth enough it shouldn't be able to cut about 1/2 at a time.
Cool idea. This seems good for a production shop, but the tear out is noticeable for fine woodworking.

That's a great build. I did notice the shavings getting in the way of your roller guide though. Maybe a compressed air line directed at the guide rail would keep it clean during operation.
