I use non portable voltmeter which works on AC, it provide 6 volts on diode mode, when you put pos lead on gate it shows 0 v between E & C. It depends on the volt provided on gate, thank you for your information. 🙏🏼
Hi, nice video😍But the IGBT dont have to be bad, if i will not open it with multimeter. I had many big mosfets, IGBTs, etc, which needs bigger voltage to open. In that case, You need use powersuply to get testing voltage higher😊

Hi , We have Semikron IGBT which input 125VDC and Output 75VAC after that there is one transformer 75/230 VAC. However I am getting output of IGBT is only 61 volt instead of 75. Could you please advise how to increase IGBT output voltage. Thanks
as these power MOSFETs and IGBTs are for switching applications and these driver transformers and inductive loads. so these body diodes protect its junction from reverse EMF (created by the inductive load's collapsing magnetic filed during off period of the MOSFET or IGBT)
What if it's not giving a diode drop?????? When you discharge and put your positive lead on emitter and negative lead on collector and not diode drope?????? What does it indicate good or bad Transistor?

I am using rishmax 10 multimeter i am getting on forward voltage drop of diode only no other readings do i need to use true rms meter
what multimeters can we use to open the gate

Bad because +C-E giving resistance?
Not all meters are capable of charging the gate..beware.
