Personally I would love to see Ufotable do it since their camera work and CGI would fit perfectly with Kagurabachi's powers visually and it would also capture the insane persepective in the manga.
All things considered, we aren't going to see a WSJ series with an anime anouncement before the 120 chapter mark. But I'd need a studio that can pull off how Hokazono really isn't afraid to use a lot of page realty to move forward a very small amount of time. It's a feature of Kagurabachi that really makes the series feel cinematic.
Pierrot already has a lot of projects going on for them, BIG ONES. It wouldn't be logical to take up something new when you have years worth of seasons to give out of few of the biggest titles to date. Though they have brought out some really beautiful looking swordfights in anime...
My top pick would be Ufotable because Demon Slayer is close to its end and Kagurabachi is very similar to Demon Slayer at least in terms of Sword fights. But I think Mappa will end up taking the rights of Kagurabachi. Even though their production schedule is a mess since they have a lot of resources they eventually end up delivering a great product.
another studio that I considered is science saru, I think it'll be in good hands based on how they animated and adapted their most recent work, dandadan which have an insane artwork and action panel like kagurabachi
@OkRoomer123- Give me a break, mappa love twisted face & water soft like animation, the characters are look like marshmallows with fast phasing, what's the justice there? Dark & clear solid outline animation is better, like in Hunter x hunter 2011, one punch man, & demon slayer. Animation should look like that. And mappa animators always over work to the point the animation is affected.
Yes JJK season 2 was amazing, but the whole point people are making is that MAPPA doesn’t deserve the credit for it, the animators/staff do. MAPPA gave them a near-impossible timeframe to finish season 2 in, and it’s only because of the staff’s hard work that the season didn’t completely collapse.
It's not Mappa it's all thanks to Shota Gossozono the director with his personal connections with top tier animators they managed to brute force the horrible schedule and did better than season 1 without Gosso season 2 would have been like Blue lock Season 2
@@SimplyRohith-sv5hd I know, I just singled out MAPPA in order to respond to the original commenter. Plus MAPPA and JJK season 2 are the most famous example of the issue

I think the studio rumored to get it, the one that did Uma Musume's movie is honestly a really good fit, they did amazing on the horse show. In my personal opinion tho the people who worked on Frieren would be the best.
Cygames Pictures? They'll be doing the adaptation! I haven't watched Uma Musume yet, but I've seen some clips and I love how fluid and detailed the running sequences were! Hopefully they'll be able to channel that into Kagurabachi.
TMS made great seasonal adaptations like Dr. Stone and can handle long runing series to, like Detective Conan which longer than One Piece. Pierrot have some bad adaptations like Tokyo Ghoul and shows with 90% fillers like Boruto and black clover, but have many great series too and reached new heights recently with Bleach. Mappa's adaptations are amazing too and they proved how great they can handle darker stories with Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, but there are problems, because they overworked. So all 4 can be good, but I hope one of the other 3 will make it instead of Mappa.
Hells Paradise wasn’t terrible but Mappa managed it terribly and it really should have been treated as a project as big as jjk or chainsaw man. I’m pretty sure they had a bunch of interns and new animators working on it that they didn’t have the funds to have people properly managing them or guiding them on animation.
Ideally, I would say that the best choice imo, is mappa, especially the Seishimo line of animators who are the team responsible for jjk and chainsaw man. Mainly because if Shota Goshozzono was the series director and the production had a good schedule and the extensive connections he has with talented animators in the industry, they would create a masterpiece of a product. But because of the state theyre in rn, they shouldnt take on the project. I would say in a parallel universe, whereby mappa has a good production schedule, it'd bee the best pick ngl
100% agree, in a perfect world I would love to see Shota Goshozono and his team on the adaption, but yea I think it will be a while until they have that kind of time unfortunately
For me the best studio picks are Wit studio & production ig. I would have loved if it's picked by A1 or Mappa but they already have too much projects on their hands.
Studio Tigger or Mappa: only if mappa starts being able to hire and delegate work loads. They have great animation but they're way to "in the thick of it" to take on Kagurabachi to its fullest without sacrificing workers or other animes.
I was going to make a video about this but genuinely I feel like I’m worried for whoever will get Kagurabachi and how it will be handled. The fact that Sakamoto Days, which is a heavily action based manga, went to TMS shows that companies are just trying to get whatever studio they can because of all the different anime in production. Also I wouldn’t put too much stock into what Tsumi is saying because that guy does a lot of fake leaks. The fact is that MAPPA’s best team working on both JJK and CSM is already a hell hole and there’s no way they can throw in Kagurabachi to that team and so it would probably go to the Hell’s Paradise team if it went to MAPPA which people would not want. CloverWorks’s best team is also trying to juggle 3 high profile projects (Bocchi, My Dress Up Darling, and Elusive Samurai) and so there’s no way that team can take on any more stuff. Ufotable I think could be a good candidate after Demon Slayer but there’s rumors that they don’t want to take on another shonen. Madhouse’s best team is preoccupied with Frieren, WIT’s best team is having massive overwork problems with Yaiba and if The One Piece continues, that team will also be busy for many years. And both Madhouse and Bones’ best teams never worked on battle Shonen before (probably out of disinterest) and in Madhouse’s case they have Frieren to worry about. As for who’s left, I feel like shows are going to have to end for that to be the case but at least Bleach is coming to an end on Pierrot’s end so maybe that could free up staff. Fire Force and MHA are also ending so maybe that can free up some people. I just say this because a lot of studios already have more on their plate than they should be able to handle and they aren’t just vending machines that can pump out any anime people want. Trigger I also unfortunately don’t see likely. They don’t typically adapt manga with them saying Delicious in Dungeon being a pretty special case. I feel like surely Kagurabachi has to get a premium adaptation because it’s “up next” but as for how that will even happen is beyond me
