Great video, thanks for answering so many questions! I am still undecided between this, Opus Quad, or Rane Perfomer for my bedroom setup. So many options these days :D
Question: With all of the settings in the software, is there a way to save a settings profile to the USB? It would be nice to be able to load your preferred fader curves and other settings in case the unit is being used by multiple people.

So at 18:40 you talk about not being able to use pro dj link only 1 of channels 3 or 4, and I have also heard that in other videos. However I have seen in the settings that there are input options for both channel 3 and channel 4 independently, so what stops you from only changing one of those to link? I have already preordered and I am disappointed to hear this as I currently use a ddj1000 and a djs1000, so I essentially do that now (with no link to the djs, just audio incoming) and was really hoping I could on this controller as well.
Indeed, DJ'ing didnt change a lot for club DJ's / DJs playing a more or less prepared set. In the past you showed up with a box full of records, now you carry just a usb stick in your pocket. However, for mobile DJs it is a different world. A single turntable weighs about 20kg in its flightcase and when you played for a wedding you carried easily more than 50 kg on records. For me, the most important feature of digital DJ'ing has been reduced weight. And that is grossly undervalued in these comparisons. Put the xdj az in its AT branded flightcase and see if you are still able to carry the 30kg upstairs. So for the next iteration of the Prime 4 & XDJ I would ask for a lighter all in one solution or an upgrade of the sc live 4 (screen) which mostly solves the weight issue. This is certainly an issue if you want to be more inclusive towards all ages and genders.
Haven't finished watching yet, but a note on stem button mapping in rekordbox. Yes you can. Both through pad mapping and midi mapping, you will lose some pad/button features by replacing the, but that sounds the same as serato.
Certainly, that's usually the case - however, there are some odd limitations at times, and as we haven't tried it yet on this unit, we didn't want to say for sure that you could.
I run an event where I constantly invite guest DJs. At times, we play two songs each making really fun for us and the crowd, so the way switching over you propose wouldn't work. The need for dual USB switchover is needed so once again I will be passing until there is a better option. Seems like companies are forgetting about needs and concentrating heavily on non-needed GUIs and electronics.
Hi, I really love your channel!! I have a question. I bought the AZ on lunch, and I was lucky to get my unit without any performance issues. I have one small issue, though. When I record on usb, I won't be able to press top recording at the end of my mix. It won't just allow me. So I have to remove the usb while it is recording. The good news is that the mix will still be saved on the device. Any other with the same issue?
Hey, I have a question about the Beatgrid, is it possible to set it from the controller like in Prime 4 or do I have to use the classic Rekordbox for analysis?
What I'm really wondering is if the AZ screen actually matches the one on the CDJ 3000. Is it the same refresh rate or does it have the lesser screen of the RX3? One thing that really bugged me when the RX3 came out is that the screen felt lackluster.
Sorry I couldn’t join the live stream - I've been busy preparing for ADE. Just wanted to point out a couple of small corrections, especially on the technical side. The Opus Quad introduced the Library Plus database, which is much more modern and processes data faster. The older library was designed to be as lightweight on resources (like CPU) as possible, but with today’s gear, that’s no longer a concern. Also, cues and loops set on Library Plus devices will still appear on older gear, and vice versa. Just a note: cues and loops aren’t stored in the database, but rather in the .dat files on the USB.
Hi everyone, I'd like to ask if the new XDJ-AZ can display time information in the same way as the XDJ-XZ. On the XDJ-XZ, I could see both the elapsed and remaining time simultaneously without having to press any buttons, which was very useful during my sets. On the XDJ-XZ, one time was shown on the large display, and the other on the jog wheel display. Is it possible to set this up on the XDJ-AZ as well? Thanks in advance for your help!
Thank you for explaining most of the features on this unit, but i need to know about onboard light & pyro controlling system, some other reviewers said that this unit is capable of controlling lights & pyro systems, If you can do a video on it we will really appreciate it...
Coming in at $3K it has to be somewhat future proof. Really hoping for Tidal integration with a firmware update. Torn between the AZ or the Rane Performer and getting a standalone controller later down the road but so far I am loving the AZ and the Opus Quad. I am an open format DJ so having all of my music + room for requests from Tidal is huge. Lately my workflow has been Tidal playlists so I can have easy access to them between Serato and Rekordbox and when I'm out walking my dog.
@djdigitaltips quick question about the now digital input selector. What happens if phono is selected by accident in the mixer settings with line level equipment plugged into the dual input? Is there a fail safe given the removal of split phono and line inputs? Is there a possibility of damage to the channel or unit given that the line signal will be boosted?
can i use the djs 1000 sampler with the AZ through dj link or it wont work in sync and pioneer must add the Arabic hebru language on their hardware as they don't read the letters and shows ????? instead
@@digitaldjtips ok, can you explain how?(which part colours?) On the quad it’s the rings around the deck-I’m not worried that you can’t select what colour but it’s handy to just know in an instant what deck is on 1/3 & 2/4?)
This was a fantastic tutorial! Thank you for taking the time to do this. I am a DDJ-1000SRT user and I've never used a standalone unit before. If I use a USB drive that has tracks that have been exported from my Serato library, will the unit recognize my cue points and loops?? Thanks!
Regarding screen layout. If you're only using 2 decks, can you adjust the screen layout to switch between showing 2 or 4 decks? Would be great to grab some screen realestate back if you're only using 2 decks
I have a ddj rx running on Rekordbox 5. I was considering buying the az but may just buy the new M4 MacBook Pro instead as my windows 10 laptop is coming to an end. I can’t find anywhere whether Rekordbox 5 would work on the latest software on the M4 MacBook Pro. Any ideas??
I have a V10 and two Reloop RP8000 mk2. My plan is to replace the turntables with CDJs, (hopelessly waiting for XDJ 1000 mk3) now Im wondering if i should replace everything with the AZ. Would this be a downgrade or an upgrade? I cant work it out, does anyone have any advice?
I’m rocking some HID cdj850s and CRSS 12s with my V10. I’ve sold it once before and just nothing lives up to the manipulation this mixer provides. The pioneer mixers are top 💯- the 3000s are a bit pants. 1000mk2 = toilet - xdj 700 doesn’t have beat jump… Sold my 3000s and sc6000s. Do love the denon, but a bit ropey and doesn’t fit the eco-system. The 3000s just are not worth £4500. I tried the XZ and it is not a flagship pioneer mixer. Question is - will the AZ fail that exact test..? 👍
XDJ-XZ also did not have audio inputs for channels 1 and 2. There were 4 sets of RCAs, but they were discrete line and phono inputs each for channels 3 and 4.
Hi, great information in the video. I purchased my xdj-xz from a Dj kit shop. When I set up the xdj-xz, I was disappointed. A) not having cross fader start function like my cdj-900 x2 and compatible mixer. [ using INTERNET SWITCH UNIT. I had my set up as.:- SETUP INTERNET SWITCH UNIT. for the CDJ-900 NEXUS and DJM-900 NEXUS. This setup , I was able to start cued track on CDJ-900 NEXUS., using cross fader on my DJM-900. NEXUS . ]. B) Like you said, not being able to control CDJ'S Setup on channels, 3 & 4. I've owned my Xdj-xz for a little while now, genuinely happy with my xdj-xz, apart from the two above points that I mentioned. Which unit best ? XDJ-XZ. XDJ-AZ. OPUS QUAD. Should I take back my XDJ-XZ too the dj shop and exchange to XDJ-AZ. P.s. To whom concern. Please keep the Pioneer name for new dj kit released. I been using Pioneer kit for decades now. Love from Dj Mastercopy 😊
@digitaldjtips sorry maybe I should have kept my 1st comments short. Should I take back my XDJ-XZ to the dj shop and exchange for XDJ-AZ ? Which dj controller best?
I didnt understand the answer regarding dvs, can you use dvs in standalone mode or do you need laptop for dvs? I would, love az with two crss12 as standalone
As you use an external SSD - Does the 1TB SSD full of (of course analysed and prepared) music work worse than a normal stick when it comes to speed etc.?
Hi, would like to know is it now can use the controller with Serato dj pro ? As i checked , it will be only useable on December 2024 . Kindly advice . Thank you very much .
What are the dimensions of the box before unboxing? (Asking because I’m not sure if the box it’ll fit in my car when I pick up from the store) Also, will this fit in a previous XDJ-XZ case?
I currently have a ddj rx. I want to buy the xdj az. On my rx I can use multiple effects at once using the buttons along the top. E.g. reverb/flanger/spiral all together and very easily. I can change the amount of each effect easily too as they all have their own knob. I’d imagine I can but how would I do this on the az considering it’s just one knob to choose the effect and one knob to change the amount of effect?
What you have on your RX is what we call controller-style effects. They're great, but they're quite complicated. On club-style DJ gear like this, it's a lot simpler. You may like it, you may not, but be aware that it's very different and you can't do directly what you're used to doing.
Phil, why cant AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ support stem files? i noticed that Serato makes a separate stem file when you analize your library. Why cannot we use that same approach for this, analyze it first on your computer then port it to your USB, then play it from there?
Please update the software to include tidal streaming. I do not rely on streaming since I download my music. But I’m a mobile dj and sometimes I get requests for tracks that I do not have or is in any other record pool. I do own a prime 4+ but I’d really rather wanna use the AZ because it has a better platter and it’s nicer overall. Once tidal is integrated, I’ll be 100% happy with it.
Can you explore the fx functionality. It seemed like roll doesn’t provide an infinite loop like it it does on the mixers? I think I saw the issue noted in another video of yours. Is it worth exploring - are other fx any different than the A9? Is the same roll issue on the OQ?
Not sure what you mean, but we've noticed nothing unusual about it. However, if we get time, we might do some more material on this - depending on how many people watch the stuff we've made so far.
@@gavincollis2061 it's not being sold; theres defective units. There's a statement from Pioneer on the product page. This is something EVERY review has ignored to update people on. "We have identified issues in some units of the XDJ-AZ All-in-One DJ System, which began sales in select regions in October 2024. Due to an internal component defect in certain units, issues have been reported such as no audio output, display screen blackouts, and system freezes. We are currently preparing to offer free inspections and repairs for customers who have purchased affected units. Once everything is ready, we will provide further details on our website. Additionally, we will be postponing the launch in regions where the product is yet to be released."
Looks like a great set but wondering why the price is that high for something that finally can do what other brands already can. Is it brand related or is it really worth the money?
Despite all its efforts, the lack of this feature excludes it from being a viable purchase. Today, the STEMS feature is a game-changer, and it's completely baffling that Pioneer hasn't implemented it.
It's not baffling at all. This is a standalone DJ unit and there's absolutely no standalone DJ units that have this feature - full stop. I actually believe that DJs who take DJing with stems seriously prepare them ahead of time anyway.
@@digitaldjtips Any explanation in this case will do, but how to explain that such a great feature is still not implemented even though many people want to have it? I think the machine might not have enough power, but the argument that it can be prepared in advance means nothing because they could do it live, but they won't because they have to prepare it in advance.
Probably nothing major. Maybe some updated / fresh takes on the low end stuff they already sell. I would not get excited for anything super groundbreaking from them anymore though.
@partyloudevents7947 I get it. However, I buy from them because they are affordable. I do it as a hobby so spending $1,700.00 is not a plan. I'd rather invest it.
@SeanMurphy-pn7uy You came under my comment for attention because you don't get any at home. Lol 😆 😆 What was your point in saying that? I'm still going to buy from them.
It can control the stems in Rekordbox software, yes. That's what a lot of people don't understand about these units. They're not designed to work with software - they're designed to work standalone, which is a different type of technology. And no standalone has stems at the moment.
Checkout the timestamp 17:29. Seen lots of people online worried that it isn’t supported, as it doesn’t reference it in the manual. Could be a nice idea for DigitalDjTips to hook up a pair of turntables and post a short video to inspire confidence that it will work.
What do you like about it more? I just got the Opus but can still switch it out for the AZ if I want. Love how Opus has the beat effects, beat loop wheel, slow echo and navigation wheel that lets you preview tracks. I’m only considering the AZ because you can link CDJs and when other DJs come play it might feel more natural. I also might use it as a rental unit and I’d imagine most people might want to rent the AZ more often.
While I do love stems...I also understand that stems aren't on any controllers or gear... It's only on software. The amount of people who don't realize their controllers are just controlling stems from their computer blows my mind... And unless you have a higher end silicon CPU you're not getting playable stems let alone stems on a dj player/standalone
@@digitaldjtips big matter, you could have 2 extra dvs-player like plx/crss12 and a s1000-sampler and switch between extra dvs or sampler on that channel.
This is a stand alone controller designed on club standard equipment with large screen and USB input Why would you spend all this money on this to then add a laptop
phil just said it best at the end - after a while too much innovation makes things unfamiliar. Yes we always want to advance our skills but is that a function of the gear or you learning to be more creative with what you already have. I also think streaming is soooo overrated and really means more to a newbie/kid dj but not many of us DJ's in our 40's and 50's care that much The crazy bashing of this unit and the comparisons to prime 4+ are silly. Each is great in its own way. This will be the best selling unit of 2024/2025/2026 despite all the hate. We all know it.
Pioneer really knows how to piss off their costumers, they released the Opus full standalone and now just months after they release the AZ also full standalone better screen and cheaper. Something Denon never do.
@ im saying with the pads ur having access to pad function that does not translate to CDJs and because of that fact, I personally feel that the opus better simulates the CD 3000 experience
you can "Guarantee" it.....hmmmm, your "review" comes across like you have sold out to Alpha-Theta, what ever happened to being neutral and just give a rundown on the ins and outs of whatever it is that you are reviewing be it Denon, Alpha-Theta etc.....
You've got every right to read it that way. All I would say is, let's see what happens. We are not sold out to anyone, and here is a public statement to help you see where we're coming from on this kind of thing. djtips.co/funding
If the companies upgraded the soundcards on cheaper controllers wouldn’t that provide relief for demand on stems? When I owned the DDJ 1000 I found mixing a bit muddy and riddled with digital phasing… Maybe I’m behind the curve. But just mixing standard tracks keeps me more than excited - I’m on a V10 rocking mostly underground Beatport. The EQs and sound quality provide more than enough ability to manipulate the sound to keep flavour and interest… Would love some thoughts from peeps 🫡

@@BonkoemChemiyanonsense, in the US CDJ’s are also the standard in clubs. And everyone used USB with that
@@BonkoemChemiya what are you on about?
Hi, I really love your channel!! I have a question. I bought the AZ on lunch, and I was lucky to get my unit without any performance issues. I have one small issue, though. When I record on usb, I won't be able to press top recording at the end of my mix. It won't just allow me. So I have to remove the usb while it is recording. The good news is that the mix will still be saved on the device. Any other with the same issue?
That's a really interesting bug - have you tried contacting the manufacturer? Not heard of that one before.
Hey, I have a question about the Beatgrid, is it possible to set it from the controller like in Prime 4 or do I have to use the classic Rekordbox for analysis?
You can also beatgrid from the unit as long as they're straightforward ones. You can't start doing dynamic beat gridding or anything.
What I'm really wondering is if the AZ screen actually matches the one on the CDJ 3000. Is it the same refresh rate or does it have the lesser screen of the RX3? One thing that really bugged me when the RX3 came out is that the screen felt lackluster.
It seems like it’s pulled from the Opus Quad which has a great display
@@ChrisDAngelo yes, however the opus quad still sadly doesn’t match the smoothness of the 3000’s. I guess it’s something that I’d need to see irl
We concur; we'd say it's the same as the Opus Quads.
Thanks, my friend. I missed your technical corrections. Enjoy ADE.
Quick Question. The Search feature. Can you search within a playlist or must search via the whole collection?
I can see stems still coming to Denon. There is no way they would put something out and shelve it forever.
It's a question of when, not if, we agree, but let's see...
to link a sampler you need both a prodj link cable, and the audio in to the rcas right? How does it send send or receive midi? by dj link?
I love when you say stroke instead of slash :D
Always amazes me what people find funny. Thank you for alerting me to that one. ☝️
Hi everyone,
I'd like to ask if the new XDJ-AZ can display time information in the same way as the XDJ-XZ.
You're mistaken - it isn't.
Well, I hope you make the right decision there, and I'm glad you're managing to work on your DJing even when you're walking the dog!
Not sure, sorry, but I doubt it would damage the unit
Great Video, I have a question which one to buy - DDJ-1000, DDJ-FLX10 or DDJ-AZ ? Thanks and keep up the great work
The first two are controllers, and the third is a standalone. So, there's your first decision - do you want to use a laptop or not?
@@digitaldjtips I'm using DDj-400 now and it's time for an upgrade, It would be nice to be able to use laptop
can i use the djs 1000 sampler with the AZ through dj link or it wont work in sync
and pioneer must add the Arabic hebru language on their hardware as they don't read the letters and shows ????? instead
Is it possible to add a send return interface maybe somehow?
Or is there a clever way to add an rmx1000 and manipulate each channel individually?
No, sadly, that's one thing that is missing on this one.
How is the set up for live streams on TikTok, Facebook, instagram etc. ? (I mean the connections, cables, settings, etc.)
It's a DJ controller, you'd set it up for livestreaming as you would any DJ controller.
Surprised and disappointed that it doesn’t have the ability the quad has of identifying which channel it is on via a deck light display?😢
It uses color to show you that
@@digitaldjtips ok, can you explain how?(which part colours?)
On the quad it’s the rings around the deck-I’m not worried that you can’t select what colour but it’s handy to just know in an instant what deck is on 1/3 & 2/4?)
This was a fantastic tutorial! Thank you for taking the time to do this. I am a DDJ-1000SRT user and I've never used a standalone unit before. If I use a USB drive that has tracks that have been exported from my Serato library, will the unit recognize my cue points and loops?? Thanks!
No, you have to prepare in Rekordbox. However, there is software out there that can convert from Serato to Rekordbox for you.
Regarding screen layout. If you're only using 2 decks, can you adjust the screen layout to switch between showing 2 or 4 decks?
Would be great to grab some screen realestate back if you're only using 2 decks
99% sure you can, yes.
Any ideas??
It probably will, no reason why not.
i think the fact that it loads full songs removes the need for two usb ports for switch overs
Yes, that's true, but of course, what was being talked about here was two USBs for plugging in computers for laptop switchovers.
I have a V10 and two Reloop RP8000 mk2.
My plan is to replace the turntables with CDJs, (hopelessly waiting for XDJ 1000 mk3)
now Im wondering if i should replace everything with the AZ.
Would this be a downgrade or an upgrade? I cant work it out, does anyone have any advice?
100% swap the v10 for an AZ and keep the turntables
Define what a down/upgrade means to you
I'll buy your v10
I’m rocking some HID cdj850s and CRSS 12s with my V10. I’ve sold it once before and just nothing lives up to the manipulation this mixer provides. The pioneer mixers are top 💯- the 3000s are a bit pants. 1000mk2 = toilet - xdj 700 doesn’t have beat jump…
Sold my 3000s and sc6000s.
Do you know what, you're exactly right. Thank you for correcting me.
I had my set up as.:-
SETUP INTERNET SWITCH UNIT. for the CDJ-900 NEXUS and DJM-900 NEXUS.
We have an AZ vs Quad video
@digitaldjtips sorry maybe I should have kept my 1st comments short.
Should I take back my XDJ-XZ to the dj shop and exchange for XDJ-AZ ?
Which dj controller best?
How to purchase from you to Kenya East Africa?
The best thing about this is that it can play all 4 channels at half of the standard setup price.
Even less thank half!
I didnt understand the answer regarding dvs, can you use dvs in standalone mode or do you need laptop for dvs? I would, love az with two crss12 as standalone
Seems like you’d need a laptop to use DVS with the AZ
DVS is designed to control laptop software, so no, you can't use it in standalone mode.
As you use an external SSD - Does the 1TB SSD full of (of course analysed and prepared) music work worse than a normal stick when it comes to speed etc.?
Depends upon the speed of the drive, mine wasn't full so I can't say
Hi, would like to know is it now can use the controller with Serato dj pro ? As i checked , it will be only useable on December 2024 . Kindly advice . Thank you very much .
You're right - you will be able to soon, but not quite yet.
What are the dimensions of the box before unboxing? (Asking because I’m not sure if the box it’ll fit in my car when I pick up from the store)
Also, will this fit in a previous XDJ-XZ case?
Hi. Is it compatible now with Serato dj pro now ? As I see forum they said it’s only available from December 2024 onwards thanks
As per their forum.
Phil, why cant AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ support stem files? i noticed that Serato makes a separate stem file when you analize your library. Why cannot we use that same approach for this, analyze it first on your computer then port it to your USB, then play it from there?
Well, you can of course, and that’s what pro DJs tend to do and then just djay with those files like they were normal music files
If we had to guess, we'd say that this will be the next service they add.
Hi again, what date was XDJ-AZ released?
Thank you from Dj Mastercopy 🎉
It is already released
@@digitaldjtips last month?
Are you going to do tutoring on this unit? Please
Yes, we are making the free training tutorial now.
Denon’s 4.1 updated messed up my bpm counter jumps up and down and never settles at one speed only on one deck
That sounds like a hardware issue to me
I purchased the two James Hype courses, id pay again for his first full course solely on the XDJ-AZ
It doesn’t matter what gear you use for those courses, you can make his techniques work easily on this from what’s already in the course
Can you have separate cues for b2b
No
Looks like a great set but wondering why the price is that high for something that finally can do what other brands already can. Is it brand related or is it really worth the money?
Only you can decide whether it's worth the money. They've obviously decided this is what they can get for it, and that's what the price is.
Is it metal on top like xdj xz or is the top plate plastic? Thanks @digitaldjtips
Same as XDJ-XZ
Someone said to me the whole top of the unit is plastic ?
Unable to get it to play in rekordbox software or use any type of software control. Anyone have the fix for this
Check out our new training tutorial on this channel - it does work if you set it up right (latest firmware/Rekordbox).
When can we expect the tutorial video to drop Phil?
Soon!
can you see the phono or turntable BPM or waveform?
will the AZ unlock RB7 DVS mode for free or will there be a subscription fee to pay?
Not sure
There’s a subscription fee for DVS on the AZ.
Does it work with Rekordbox 5.87?
No
Despite all its efforts, the lack of this feature excludes it from being a viable purchase.
Anything new from Numark on the way?
Probably nothing major. Maybe some updated / fresh takes on the low end stuff they already sell. I would not get excited for anything super groundbreaking from them anymore though.
@partyloudevents7947 I get it. However, I buy from them because they are affordable. I do it as a hobby so spending $1,700.00 is not a plan. I'd rather invest it.
@SeanMurphy-pn7uy You came under my comment for attention because you don't get any at home. Lol 😆 😆 What was your point in saying that? I'm still going to buy from them.
Been thinking this or 2 xdj 1000mk2 with a mixer as can get for a similar price but seen no comparisons so I assume the answer is clear the AZ
I would definitely go with the XDJ-AZ.
What is the quality of cloud streaming?
It hasn't got the latest lossless Beatport, so it's the same as Beatport has been up until now.
I'm tempted to sell my RX3 and then buy the AZ
You’d definitely enjoy the upgrade
Does it works with Rekordbox 5?
Almost certainly not
I would like to have Ableton link over the wifi of this unit
The DDJ flex 10 has stems
It can control the stems in Rekordbox software, yes. That's what a lot of people don't understand about these units. They're not designed to work with software - they're designed to work standalone, which is a different type of technology. And no standalone has stems at the moment.
does the XDJ AZ support DVS? thanks
Checkout the timestamp 17:29.
Seen lots of people online worried that it isn’t supported, as it doesn’t reference it in the manual.
Could be a nice idea for DigitalDjTips to hook up a pair of turntables and post a short video to inspire confidence that it will work.
@@ChrisAdante I found out it does work as it's on pioneers site under rekordbox compatibility
When the Prime Go 2 it’s gonna be released? this is not what we were spectating 😢
No idea
does this use device library or device library plus? No one has answered this.
We did in this show, DLP.
@@digitaldjtips sorry had to watch the second half after i commented thanks
Can I connect a keyboard if I’m using the system in stand alone mode
You can plug it into one of the audio inputs, yes
I’m good with my OPUS thanks
What do you like about it more? I just got the Opus but can still switch it out for the AZ if I want. Love how Opus has the beat effects, beat loop wheel, slow echo and navigation wheel that lets you preview tracks.
I’m only considering the AZ because you can link CDJs and when other DJs come play it might feel more natural. I also might use it as a rental unit and I’d imagine most people might want to rent the AZ more often.
Who are all these people looking for stems all the friggin time. Give over people.
Fr, give over already
Ain't that important. Do you think 90s djs needed stems? If you're really into it, just download acapellas ain't a big deal.
They want toy features on professional grade equipment lmao
denon do stems
The more videos I watch on the AZ, the more I am leaning towards getting a Denon Prime 4 +.
Cool, they’re both great units.
prime 4 is a toy compared
👏👏👏👏👏
Disappointed that external phono & line inputs are combined not separate. That's a downgrade from the xz. But otherwise... 😊😊😊
Doesn;t matter as long as you can switch them though, does it?
@@digitaldjtips big matter, you could have 2 extra dvs-player like plx/crss12 and a s1000-sampler and switch between extra dvs or sampler on that channel.
Compatible with the rmx1000? Anyone
Not that we know. We'll let you know if we find out any different.
Flx10 has stems
Not sure what your point is
Sir I want this from you plz 💖☺️
This is what the z x was supposed to be
Exactly
Only one laptop usb input, shocking!
This is a stand alone controller designed on club standard equipment with large screen and USB input
Why would you spend all this money on this to then add a laptop
True
phil just said it best at the end - after a while too much innovation makes things unfamiliar.
We're with you Adam
Well said!!
Sadly no way that tank is worth the price . It’s like apple and Samsung no one wants to admit that another product is much better😢
Having used both Apple and Samsung, I'm very sure which one I prefer.
This AZ mixer how does this compare to the DDJ flex 10?
Pioneer really knows how to piss off their costumers, they released the Opus full standalone and now just months after they release the AZ also full standalone better screen and cheaper. Something Denon never do.
When they release the opus they posted publicly on Facebook . This wasn’t the replacement for the XZ.
They never intended for the Opus Quad to be an XZ replacement, and they said so themselves.
Your wrong about the stems being on a controller... Check out the pioneer flx10. Not stand alone, but doesn't rely on external software.
Er, it does
Hahaha not standalone but doesn’t rely on external software. How about contradicting yourself in one scentence
End of Pioneer
possibly
I disagree with the idea that any board with proformance pads simulate CDJs cause they allow for short cuts that u can’t really on with CDJs
If I understand you correctly, that's not actually what I meant.
@ im saying with the pads ur having access to pad function that does not translate to CDJs and because of that fact, I personally feel that the opus better simulates the CD 3000 experience
Meh. The Opus is better. Also, the Opus is one of the first to use the new file system since I had to reformat my usb to play on one at a gig.
As long as it's still supported in the software, then the DDJ-SX is indeed a great value option here.
you can "Guarantee" it.....hmmmm, your "review" comes across like you have sold out to Alpha-Theta, what ever happened to being neutral and just give a rundown on the ins and outs of whatever it is that you are reviewing be it Denon, Alpha-Theta etc.....
You've got every right to read it that way. All I would say is, let's see what happens. We are not sold out to anyone, and here is a public statement to help you see where we're coming from on this kind of thing. djtips.co/funding
Good afternoon, I just wanted to tell that alpha téta doesn’t sound good, it sounds weirdo according to me
You have something set up wrong - it sounds fine.
@ I was just meaning about the name it seems to be a very nice piece of hardware…
If the companies upgraded the soundcards on cheaper controllers wouldn’t that provide relief for demand on stems?
When I owned the DDJ 1000 I found mixing a bit muddy and riddled with digital phasing…
Maybe I’m behind the curve. But just mixing standard tracks keeps me more than excited - I’m on a V10 rocking mostly underground Beatport. The EQs and sound quality provide more than enough ability to manipulate the sound to keep flavour and interest…
Would love some thoughts from peeps 🫡
