She started this season at #74, didn't deliver much in the first half of the season, then simply took off and blow her opponents in the second half.

I can't recall anyone (men as well) who have had this type of career, as you described so well. I It seems upside down, i.e. instead of the steady or mercurial rise for many at the beginning of their career, Garcia seems to have "taken off" mid to late career. Anyway she is such a positive character...good on her!!!!!!

I have made a comment when Swiatek defeated Garcia a few days ago that they are the best two players right now and I keep that.
Hard to understand Swiatek's overall performance vs Sabalenka, but human beings ain't no robots.

Garcia is the most interesting and exciting player right now. She goes to the net. Make great points at the net. Something we don't see anymore. Hope she wins slams next year. Showing a new way (or an old man way) of playing tennis. It can bring the young back to tennis.

great match high intensity amazing serving from both players .. caroline a little bit better in key moments in the tie break that made the diffrence today .. aryna looks much better and her serve is back to her best almost it seems after the tuff start of the season .. shes def one to watch out for in 2023 .. and congrats to caroline for an amazing end of the season 👏

Sure Caroline has shown frustration and dare we say immaturity? in the past but she has always been respectful to her opponents. Caroline has put in her time at the tennis player. Her workouts are upper level for sure compared to many of the other women on tour. Plus, she's always had potential to be and remain in the top 10 but sometimes it takes a while to embrace a good relationship with your talent and yourself. Yup...good to see her enjoying the game and having a good mature team around her
Finally Garcia get what she deserves.... I was waiting a Slam victory since several years, then she almost disappeared. Now she's back with her spectacular tennis and finally came this great victory. Allez, Caroline!

The season of Caroline Garcia this season is unbelievable! She is like the Stan Wawrinka of WTA. She is nowhere to be found since she turned pro in 2011. I can still remember Ana Ivanovic lost to her multiple times and I was annoyed lol. Look at her now. She has not won the much-hyped US Open after winning Cincinnati but she is now a WTA Finals Champion. Wow!
