Making an Aviator (bund) style watch band

I love this style of watch band. It makes a bold statement and can be made from all types of leathers. Here we complete the entire project from cutting out the leather to installing the Deployant Clasp. This pattern in available in our new Downloadable patterns section of our website!

I know that at the time of this posting this video is a year old, but I wanted to say that I actually undertook this project as my first ever leatherwork endeavor, and it came out great! I've been slogging around with the crusty old canvas band that came on my Citizen Eco-Drive chronograph, and finally decided to do something about it, and this bund style band fit the bill perfectly. I used an olive colored veg tan for the tops of the cuff and straps and lined everything with a nice supple goat skin. The band looks great, and with the goat skin liner it feels even better than it looks on my wrist. Thank you for this video and an excellent tutorial. 👍

I'm guessing if you cut out the middle of the inner liner this would work for an Apple watch as well. Love the look of that band!!!

If you’re wanting it to feel pulse and such I’m not sure it will work or not. However you can easily fit the charger between the watch and base strap.

To make this one you’ll need to add some length to the straps you already have. I have not produced a template for this but did make a downloadable pattern on our website.
