True but you know that ending hits different as well
I hear you. The whole of the song is greater than the sum of its parts - and that’s what makes art.
To say there is a best part is an insult to this absolute masterpiece.
its actually so sad that because of the TikTok audio people have decided that the last bit of the song is the only part worth listening to, the whole thing is amazing
i came from tik tok and listened to the whole song. I actually really liked it.
Literally the whole entire song is nothing but a vibe and those type of people who skip right to that part from tiktok I dislike
@@noahgames3916 that's just the most popular part, what's so wrong with what people prefer?
@@plvto1 I get that’s the most popular part but you gotta at least hear the whole song instead of skipping right to that part, people have different preferences I get it but it’s like when you skip a show or movie to the most popular part it’s just a no. And in my opinion people who do that I don’t like cause what’s the point of searching for that song or movie if u are just gonna waste your time searching for that one part when you can just watch or listen to the whole thing . And plus this song has many cool parts that they might like. And I also know that people might not want to spend their time listening to the whole song. But to actually enjoy a song or learn a song you gotta listen to the wholeeee thing same with a movie.

[Verse 1]
It's always around me, all this noise
But not nearly as loud as the voice saying
"Let it happen, let it happen (It's gonna feel so good)
Just let it happen, let it happen"
[Chorus]
All this running around trying to cover my shadow
A notion growing inside, now all the others seem shallow
All this running around bearing down on my shoulders
I can hear an alarm, must be morning
[Verse 2]
I heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round
It's gonna carry off all that isn't bound
And when it happens, when it happens (I won't be holding on)
So let it happen, let it happen
[Chorus]
All this running around, I can't fight it much longer
Something's trying to get out and it's never been closer
If my take-off fails, make up some other story
But if I never come back, tell my mother I'm sorry
[Instrumental Interlude]
[Bridge]
I cannot vanish and you will not scare me
Tryna get through it, try to bounce to it
You were not thinkin' that I will not do it
They be lovin' someone and I'm another story
Take the next ticket to take the next train
Why would I do it? And you wanna think that
I cannot vanish and you will not scare me
Tryna get through it, try to bounce to it
You were not thinkin' that I will not do it
They be lovin' someone and I'm another story
Take the next ticket to take the next train
Why would I do it? Anyone think that-
[Outro]
Baby, now I'm ready, moving on
Oh, but maybe I was ready all along
Oh, I'm ready for the moment and the sound
Oh, but maybe I was ready all along
Oh baby, now I'm ready, moving on
Oh, but maybe I was ready all along
Oh, I'm ready for the moment and the sound
Oh, but maybe I was ready all along, oh baby

like you are having a panic attack on weed but someone is telling you everything will be okay eventually
I just noticed this was weirdly specific
I feel the same thing, it's like a crying for someone that died, but reading a letter written by him to you, saying he knew this would happen and trying to confort you, even not being there you can feel his warmth, being more sad and feeling more confort, at the same time
No, i never passed through that, but still weirdly specific too
Totally agree
Agreed, and Kevin even works that feeling into the percussion if you pay attention- the 4-on-the-floor snare pattern in the first half of the song conveys a sense of restlessness, but after the middle section when the drum beat comes back in, it has a way more confident swagger and groove to it
100% accurate this is how i felt when i used to get super high
true lol. i mean the music video is literally about having a heart attack from anxiety and dying.
lyrics:
It's always around me, all this noise
But not nearly as loud as the voice saying
"Let it happen, let it happen (It's gonna feel so good)
Just let it happen, let it happen"
All this running around
Trying to cover my shadow
An ocean growing inside
All the others seem shallow
All this running around
Bearing down on my shoulders
I can hear an alarm
Must be a warning
I heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round
It's gonna carry off all that isn't bound
And when it happens, when it happens (I'm gonna be holding on)
So let it happen, let it happen
All this running around
I can't fight it much longer
Something's trying to get out
And it's never been closer
If my ticker fails
Make up some other story
And if I never come back
Tell my mother I'm sorry
I will not vanish and you will not scare me
Try to get through it, try to bounce to it
All the while thinking I might as well do it
They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid
Take the next ticket to take the next train
Why would I do it? And you wanna think that
I will not vanish and you will not scare me
Try to get through it, try to bounce to it
All the while thinking I might as well do it
They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid
Take the next ticket to take the next train
Why would I do it? And you wanna think that
I will not vanish and you will not scare me
Try to get through it, try to bounce to it
All the while thinking I might as well do it
They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid
Take the next ticket to take the next train
Why would I do it? And you wanna think that
I will not vanish and you will not scare me
Try to get through it, try to bounce to it
All the while thinking I might as well do it
They be lovin' someone and I'm not that stupid
Take the next ticket to take the next train
Why would I do it? And you wanna think that
Oh, maybe I was ready all along
Oh, maybe I was ready all along
Oh, maybe all I wanted was the sound
Oh but maybe I was ready all along

This song is like the serene feeling you get in a dream, when nothing makes sense but somehow everything is right. Based and transcendental
This is one of those songs, where depending on your mood it could change how you hear it. A year ago when I first discovered Kevin, I was depressed and anxious most days, and I'd purposefully not listen to this song because something about it made me feel sad/worse. Now, I'm rarely depressed or anxious, and this song is such a fucking jam. Thank you Kevin for all of your amazing songs.
How many artists do you see making 8 minute songs these days
Metal bands my dude
@@aprilbutts3863 *slow paced songs.
Tool hardly even make songs under 10 mins
Tool, A Perfect Circle and Animals as Leaders to name a few.
@@Im_Schiz no actually APC doesn't make very long songs

Josh Kimbrough I would never doubt spiderman
mummyjohn Peter Parker vs Kevin Parker
Amaury Lannes Kevin and Peter Parker
mummyjohn Spiderman has U2's Bono writing his music...so...if it's Peter versus Kevin Parker...I'd take Kevin Parker any day...

This song has stuck with me so long, yet i still dont have words to explain the way it makes me feel
Definitely gives off Daft Punk vibes in the sense that he gives you multiple build ups throughout the song and collectively puts it all together at the end. What a masterpiece.
❤ love them both.
Was just thinking that as I scrolled past this comment, lol.
That's pretty much my collective thoughts on Tame Impala.
He's better than daft punk and that's a lot coming from a chick that has all their vinyl
Y'know, youtube will still be around 50 years from now. And by then this comment section will probably be filled with people wishing they were born when we were.

6:15 something about this guitar riff is just too mesmerizing too enjoyable too iconic for me to handle and it makes me feel like I'll never give up
Sweet production... I love how crisp the drums sound.
Agreed. Tight, as always from Tame Impala.
The crisp drums on this album really set it off. Some of the crispiest drums I've heard since The Argument album by Fugazi
+Larry Smith Damn what is it food? 😂
Food for your ears my friend
+Larry Smith Well said! :) Although I do like Mind Mischeif a bit better. And btw ur making me hungry! 😡
This is what happens when musicians let themselves play around in a song. More, please.
