- Josh Miller live from the crick, just having fun catching some fish!
The water was in the mid 30's and the air temp was in the low 40's. During these conditions my tempo moving through the stream starts quickly until I find the fish, then I plant my feet and work that water type by switching flies and making different drifts. Then after finding the water type the fish are in, its generally easy to walk the river and find the same looking type of water - Feature, depth, and speed. Jumping to those spots and covering more fish. The better looking "fast" water yielded me literally zero fish this day. Just loving life!
Enjoy your day, and hope you are fly fishing on the water soon!

Nice stream and fishing!! This is what it looks like when you have a setup "dialed" lol those fish couldn't resist 😂
I've fished with Josh quite a bit, but not recently enough. I learned something new watching this video. It's like getting to watch a sleight of hand artist at work.
Same here, Mark. I forwarded the video to my dad; he noted a number of things that we had talked about in the past but that I think I failed to demonstrate well enough :)
Real nice example of several techniques, this makes a great instructional video for the rest of us. Cool!
Love it! Can’t wait to fish with you this year.
This felt like it was on loop haha. Nice job whistling while you work lol. Just silly good technique and overall angling. In winter no less. Gotta love when you are a master of your craft. Well done!
I know right. Love the quick releases too.
I truly do love it, and starting to love sharing the knowledge even more!
Great video, you connected with with the fish, excellent job fishing! They obviously were stacked up and positioned in that seam of the stream!
Very nice Josh. Loved watching all those hookups. A lot of action for an 8 minute video.
Thanks for the kind comment! Catching the fish is only a fraction of the fun!
That was fun to watch. Next time your up my way stop in and let’s go back to that spot I took you to film you fish that and film it from on top that bank where I was watch you from. I learned so much that day by being able to look down on you and the fish and see where you cast in relationship to structure and current and how the fish reacted to it.
Shawn! I’ll come out and fish with you my friend!
You have the right idea... smart money would pay to watch Josh fish, rather than pay Josh to help themselves fish...
Like clock work in that run ...subbed
Kinda had a flash back.. you are in the River next to me hooking fish and I’m catching sticks......😎😎😎. Great Video!
Very nice run of water ! Great catches !
Amazing how many fish were in that one spot.
You put on a clinic!! Good job!
No clinics! Just happy fish and a happy angler!
I’m just sitting here imagining the poor bastard downstream who hasn’t gotten a bump in an hour watching him hoist fish out every cast like this 😂
Dude i feel like im watching myself as far as line control and casting, ive tried all the different "cool guy" ways but come back to this style...it just works, keep that line way out in my hand and adjust from there
More like vacuum nymphing😂, Happy New Year!
Uncle Lou. When the heck are we fishing !!!
@@TroutYeah As soon as possible!
Obviously a good day for you, would have been interested to have some dialogue. Rig set up and flies used.
Solid. How many flies and what were you using, if you can share?
Wow, very impressive. I lost count but I think you landed 8 or 9 in less than 8 minutes. Without moving more than a few feet. Nice. I am wondering though was there that many fish in a relatively small area because they are all between 8" and 12"? Bigger fish typically aren't concentrated in such a small area.
So, my thoughts was... the river was high, there wasn’t much “slow” wintering water. The fish were pushed “forced” into deep winter type water. That’s my opinion on it! Thanks for the kind comments!
Where’s the fun in that?! 😂
I absolutely love flinging weighted flies! Lets go fishing mark!
