Haha. I can't remember his name, but the guy who played Kane was lined up to fight Morrison for real and then bailed b/c it wasn't enough money or some BS.

That second knockdown, Tyson didn’t even connect. Selden just wanted quick pay day.

Yeah well the truth is that fight was indeed fixed. Many people including myself noticed that he fell down without even being hit at all.

Mike Tyson in his podcast said he didn’t land and here he said he did land, maybe he just won the fight and was happy that’s why he said that but recently he came out and said that he didn’t land the punch and that seldom took a dive

I was yelling at this point to anyone who would listen that Holyfield was going to dismantle Tyson. Everyone thought not only Tyson was back but back to his peak. He was in great shape and very dedicated in training. Everyone thought Holy's style was made for Tyson but it was the opposite - Holyfield was far more versatile and Tyson's come forward aggressive style was tailor made for Holyfield's all-time great counterpunching. I do get that people figured Holy was damaged goods b/c of the heart issue and the 3rd Bowe fight but that was all about hepatitis. Everyone said he looked like garbage vs. Czyz, but I also disagreed there, he put a beating on Czyz. Holyfield also was strong enough to move Tyson back, and Mike didn't know what to do. Holyfield also trained 16 weeks for this fight, he knew that his entire legacy was riding on it, after Tyson shrewdly ducked him with the "rib injury" in 1991. By avoiding a loss to Holy in 1991, King knew that Tyson could make 10x the money fighting nobodies coming out of prison, which was indeed the case, so why risk it.

Tyson didn’t duck Holyfield in 1991. He in fact actually got injured which is not in purpose when examined which forced to post pone the fight until the fight is cancelled due to Tyson committing a crime he didn’t do. Please don’t say something funny or not true that Tyson “committed” a crime just so he can’t fight Holyfield which is just absurd. I would absolutely would’ve loved to see Tyson at his his (his best is at 1987-1988, Tyson never had a prime like Ali) vs Prime Holyfield because their two fights was when they are past their prime, with Tyson being way more out of his prime and more rusty, but Holyfield is more battle-hardened because obviously due to fighting when Tyson was in prison. I have 1987 Mike Tyson losing against Prime Evander Holyfield simply because Tyson during that year is still inexperienced, but the 1988 Mike Tyson wins against Prime Evander Holyfield.
Tyson in fact also never turned down Lewis, Lewis himself turned down the $13.5M to fight Tyson and at the same time paid $4M to let Tyson fight Seldon and fight Lewis after that for $30M. Also Don King was thinking about a more lucrative fight against Holyfield, and knowing Tyson is more focused on money and with his passion for boxing already gone and now treats the sport just a job now, he accepted to fight Holyfield for more money. So he vacated the WBC title in order to fight a more lucrative fight against Holyfield.

Back then nobody seen that coming.. Holyfield winning by TKO? Man stop all that capping
And the 1991 postponement & prison time worked in Holyfield’s favor.. Holyfield was still a blown up cruiserweight around that time.. While Tyson was active before the prison rust.. Tyson would have destroyed him in 1991

@@PracticeMakesPaper yes indeed tysons peak was still there he lost to buster because he partied for 2 days before the fight and underestimated him if the ref was counting to 10 it would be over for buster after the knockdown from tyson in the 8th

@@PracticeMakesPaper Nobody thought about prison rust when Tyson dismantled Bruno and Seldon. Holyfield exposed Tyson as a one dimensional fighter, and the Tyson of 1991 was not the same Tyson of 1988. Holyfield had faster hands in 1991 and in 1996 he was past his prime and still dismantled Tyson.

@@djeanpierre Seldon was hardly a fight and people did say he had ring rust after the McNeeley and Buster Mathis fights, he was missing alot of punches
