- Let's go on a village adventure and dive right into the Czech culture. I arrive in a small remote village in the Beskydy mountains called Velká Lhota. This village has a population of about 500 inhabitants and with only one pub and no shop in the surrounding area, there is no other choice for me than to go to the pub to drink beer and local spirits and to try their local specialities.
Velká Lhota is a village placed on a steep mountain range in Moravia region, Czech Republic.
A notable person once was a pastor at this local village church, the writer Jan Karafiát. He is best known for his classic children's book Broučci (the Czech word for beetle) that was first published in the early 1870s. Join me on this adventure as I meet with the locals and indulge the typical traditional Czech food and beer which is a big part of Czech culture.

A beautiful Moravian village, I have to admit with sadness that in the Czech Republic the buildings of the village are prettier and more tasteful than in Poland, we have chaos.
And in Germany and Austria even nicer than Czech
1) Slovacko - Straznice, Bzenec. Visit a wine cellar. 2) Milkulov/Palava. 3) East Slovak Rysyn/Lemko villages (Presov region).

Andre, if you like the wooden architecture, you shouldn't miss a place in eastern Bohemia called "Veselý kopec". it's a skanzen, it shows how the czech people used to live in the past.

sup André checkout small village call Petřkovice near Ostrava city , there is miners museum which could interest you with nice forrest path to lookout tower . Inside museum is also Harenda restaurant with Elevated Czech cuisine and also small museum with local fishes to see .

Kmin translates caraway seeds. Dill is used only in pickled gherkins or koprovka dill sauce

Má holka z Mexika měla tu čest ochutnat maminčinu svíčkovou :) Obvykle si ona a její mamka kupují tu hnusnou, průmyslově vyráběnou variantu, která samozřejmě nemá sebemenší chuť té vynikající domácí verze.
mohl bys to říkat správně ,,,jitrnice a jelito je ve střívku jako klobása a když jí vymačkáš je to prejt ....zelí může být cabage nebo sauerkraut - to je zelí ale kysané ...a dost chlastáš ..))))
