Your dad is a G for leading the pack and still going out in adventures. Never to late to live your life. I’m glad I’m seeing someone’s dad stay true to childhood thoughts.
Wolves can bark like dogs. Dogs actually evolved from Wolves, so it's entirely possible wolves can bark. The howl gave it away. Those are wolves. I wouldn't worry about them because they're more scared of you than you are of them.
Also, this is the life. Amazing food, amazing friends, and a nice warm fire. What more could you ask for in life? What I would do to have a moment in the snow like this!! It looks so cozy and fun! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
they are very timid creatures contrary to popular belief. They would sooner go look for an easy meal than mess around near humans.
One thing I've learnt from these videos is that Xander can saw and chop wood faster than anyone else alive.

Love pops's singing :) especially the first song. They do bark but they usually combine it with howling/growling similar to sled dogs. Fun fact a wolf's howl is as unique as a fingerprint, and they are capable of recognizing each other by sound alone.
Wolves also run in packs so if you seen one there’s multiple around people really don’t know the difference between a coyote or wolf either they can look similar form afar

Fun fact, wolves do bark! Usually in very short bursts and not near as often or as loud as your typically dog would. It’s worth mentioning that it is also fairly rare for a wolf to bark. It usually precedes a howl. Hope this answers your question.

Best way to light the stove, by far, is to fill it right up with pine twigs and branches, which light crazy easy as you know, the flash fire will heat up your stove and chimney creating a proper draft, and you can then load your logs on the coals from the branches and it should be as easy as it ever is.
I grew up in the northeast of China. It was very cold, the early life taught me to be tough and endurance.
I think that is why people like to watch the RUclips channel like yours. To enjoy nature and adapt ourselves with nature and appreciate the nature that God created.
It's so cool that you and your brother can do things like this with your dad. You are lucky men!

I lost my dad about 18 months ago. This video made me miss him, but also made me so happy to see you guys share your passion with him. Hi Xander! Really enjoyed this one! Thanks for sharing! This is what I know on the barking. Wolves do not bark. buy Coyotes howl and yip primarily to communicate with each other and establish territory, but they may bark when they are defending a den or a kill.

I came up with an idea to standardize your coffee/hot cocoa measurements without adding weight.
Take the amount of cocoa you generally want to use and put it in a ziplock bag. Seal, and turn the bag upside down so the zip side is down. Shake until the powder is fully settled.
Use a permanent marker to draw a line to mark that. Now whenever you want to portion some out, you just have to fold the bag in half, flip some into the top portion until it’s at the line, and bing bang boom. :)
And when you’re ready to pour it out, just twist the bottom part of the bag shut!

We are at 2 degrees F, feels like -9… It has warmed up 😊. Went out to warm up the car for hubby to take to work. Came in and here you are in the cold and snow. Glad to see you are not alone on this trip. Having quality time with others makes special memories. Good thing your vehicle started after sitting out in the cold those few days. As for the bark/howl...wolves can bark, though they don't do it a lot. That howl to me was definitely wolf and not the manic howl of a coyote.

Wolves make a combination of different sounds. Barking is one of them in combination to howling. barking is a way that they use to alarm others of danger in the area.

I'm in middle TN and we just got the first real snow in Y E A R S. 6 - 8 inches and temps from -3 to +25F for days. Makes me appreciate the level of dedication to winter camp!

I have been watching a lot of winter bush craft the last several days. I enjoy all of them but they have a lot of sameness. I really liked the way you guys did this. Two bros and dad in a large tent with stove. That’t the way I would do it if I were young again. Great video.
