Best tutorial I have come across. I have French braided since I was 7 or 8, now that I’m 35 and have kids I really wanted to take my braids up a notch to look pro status. You perfectly displayed and explained everything, as well as all the details needed to make perfect beautiful French braids. And especially explained that horrible butt sag problem, which is now solved. Thank you so much!

Ok im a beginner with really long hair that gets tangled at the end , you make it look so easy yet so glam..........do you know any ways to keep the bottoms untangled?
+Raquel Shaw I know what you mean. The first thing would be to address the reasons for the tangling. If it's been longer than 3 months since your last trim, you are going to see tangling. Also, using a quality shampoo and conditioner really helps. And, sometimes, putting a small amount of a silicone based shine serum on the midshaft and ends can help add slip to the hair so you have less tangling. If your hair is naturally curly or wavy, you could lightly blow dry it with a paddle brush just to stretch the curls a bit and decrease tangling.

Raquel Shaw I do first you need water with salt then let it sit for 6:min then ones you done that take it out then dry hair finally get all your hair put together and brush hair that's what I do and it works perfectly

are you ready for this? I never knew how to braid aside from basic. very basic. My girl begged me to learn and finally, she said we can find RUclips videos. yours had so many views so we watched and got hooked. fishtail, fishtail to the scalp, rope, and finally, after 30 years of trying, I could French braid! I did them for the 6th or 8th time today and some woman asked if I did this girl's braids. I said yes (with pride) and she said she used to be an instructor at a cosmetology school and my parts were the best she's ever seen, the braids matched my daughter's friend's hair texture and color just right (is that a thing?) and then she talked about those braids for five minutes! she lost her shit when I said I haven't even French braided ten times and just learned how. You are the best!

This is amazing. I was taught to French braid by picking up hair in all three sections. Like when you start you have your 3 sections you cross those and then pick hair up on one side,middle and the other side... This looks like it will be much easier!! I'm getting my head out to try now... I have the same practice head as you do.

Shayna Daljit Sedeora I'm no expert but if you ever want to do any type of braid on short hair o would say a French or Dutch braid would be best because you aren't technically really with all the hair at once.

I love the way you do these! it is so beautiful and helped me braid my hair. I love the pop-up tips. The music was kind of distracting though, some sort of classical type music would work really well because it is so relaxing watching you. Thank you for this video!
I definetly appreciate these videos. I have two cheerleaders and need to learn to overhand braid. I was always taught underhand and whole the braids stay, they are not tight or near as neat as I'd like! I will continue to watch your others as well as I need to learn dutch and fishtails as well! i still can't do it :( i have layered short hair that goes down to my shoulders and i have trouble adding to the braid. just in general i wish i could even just do a regular braid but i can't even do that right. thanks for the tutorial tho, even if it didn't help.
+noods if you are struggling with a standard braid, I would recommend you watching my video on overhand braiding, before even attempting this technique again. Once you feel comfortable with overhand braiding, THEN come back and check out this video. It works much better that way. 😊
