I'm not sure what was different about the way you explained it but it finally "clicked" in my mind 😭 mine don't look very good but I finally understand what I'm meant to be doing, thank you so much! ♥️♥️♥️

Same but my sis move out and when she come over she never will braid my hair when I ask- and she can French braid really good and fast I'm just trying learn to do it on my own
Aww did you figure it out? It’s so cute that you taught yourself before she left. My sister/stepmom used to do it for me and I just went without for years before deciding that it was time to learn myself lol 😂
see. what helped me understand was the way you numbered the strands of hair. For some reason that’s what made my brain comprehend it. I knew how to Dutch braid forever but I never learned French braiding. It’s so easy now bc you explained it like that. Nice.
I’ve struggled my whole life trying to figure out these braids. After watching this video I can finally do them! They aren’t perfect but I finally got the process down tysm
This actually helped me. I looked at a few other videos and I just couldn't braid it properly. I think your method of letting the "third" section fall while gathering the additional hair helped a lot. Thanks! :) This was my first time attempting it myself, lol, so it doesn't look that great but I did it, haha.

Guess what!! I currently have braids in! :) They are pretty rough but I never thought I was able to do this. Instead of braiding over I braided under which I found easier, giving Dutch instead of French braids! Thank you for this tutorial Yadira! Will practice more for sure
It's the best explanation so far! I succeeded in 1st try.. It's my first time succeeding in any hairstyle except simple ponytail or braid Thank you so much!!
I did this on myself it's my first attempt to braid my own hair and you just explained so well that it just turned out so fabulous everyone at school my friends and teachers are astonished 💖😍
Thank you thank you thank you SOOOO much! I have been frustrated all week watching SO many videos of how to do it and with this one I FINALLY did it!!! I never thought I could make it look this good!! Thank you SO much omg you’re literally a doll💕💕💕💕💗💗💗💗💗
thank you so much! I always wanted those "fancy" hairstyles that I saw all over social media, but could never do it. Your video was the best tutorial I could find, and now I can french braid! Love you!
After years of struggling with this, I finally did it!! I've tried a whole bunch of videos and tutorials and none of them worked as good as yours!! Thanks for the great tutorial!
the fact that you are teaching at a slow pace with your hands held high is amazing 😮😮 separating the strands and showing them one by one really helped to understand . thank you 😊
Omg thanks!!! It's really helpful! I was so stupid I wouldn't do 1 braids! My mom always does my braids but after this vid it made feel like I am in heaven! I can now do braids by my own since my mom sick....
i’ve never been more grateful. you’re amazing. i think the more i try the better i’ll be. i actually did it and i’ve never been able to start it!!!!! thank youu
So, I’ve been trying to French braid this whole time. It always comes out looking extremely messy and loose. I decided to do a Dutch braid because my friend said Dutch is easier to do on yourself. It came out clean and tight looking! I have thick hair and it’s long so the ends were always getting tangled with French braid but I didn’t have this problem with Dutch! It didn’t matter what I did to my hair for French. Straighten it , put oils in it to make it less frizzy and dry but it was always getting tangled middle of French braiding. I definitely recommend Dutch braid for those who are just learning on themselves. It’s so much easier and cleaner. Maybe French braiding is easier on thin and straight hair but definitely give Dutch a go!
That was the most helpful french braid tutorial ever! I've never been able to do a french braid before and I finally did it! I'm glad you showed the triangle because all the other tutorial videos talk about it, but I never actually saw it until now. I also really liked how you numbered the braids. It just made so much sense! Great job and thank you so much!
Probably the most concise video for french braid. I finally understood what tf am I supposed to do. It was really messy, but I did it. Thank you. Will keep practicing.
Thank you so much for this video. The explanation at the begging on how to start and separate the three first sections is life-changing for me because I always struggled at this point. Made my first french braids)) yyeah

Thank you for teaching me 🙏 I've always wanted to learn and tonight I decided to take it into my own hands (literally). It's not perfect but I understood how it works :) and I'm grateful for that!
DAMN! I’ve been French braiding for years! But apparently I’ve REALLY just been grinch braiding- bc what I just did with my hair watching this, is what I thought I was doing all these years! LOL not sure why this came up on my recommendations but I’m sure glad it did!
I simply can’t to it for the fact my hair is prone to tangle and incredibly long so my arms cramp. Like I just did the three bun hawk type deal just twisting my hair on the back of my head hurt. Just cause I had to hold it out. I use to do it all the time when I had shorter hair like back in the softball days but my hair has shot in length since then. It’s tramp stamp length.
I’ve been trying for long to learn how to French braid my hair and all the other videos I watched were never helpful. I have curly hair so it’s WAYYY harder for me to french braid it especially when I have to grab sections of hair. This video helped so much and I was finally able to successfully french braid my curly hair. It took about 30 mins for me to get it down. But I did it!
I remember back like 6 years ago, I really wanted to get into braiding. I could do regular braids, twisty braids and fishtail braids. But I could not French braid or Dutch braid because I just couldn’t understand how to do it, and no matter how many pictures I looked at of it or how many videos I watched to explain what was going on, I still couldn’t understand. I’m always having my hair down which is fine, but I’ve been wanting to get into different hairstyles now or simple hairstyles for school. So I decided, why not go back to the one braid I couldn’t master, and see if I can understand it now. And I can, the way you explained it was so well done, and I now know exactly what I need to do.
The video was really appreciative, yadira. My hair are so silky that they used to slip out of my hands , and (start it again) 🙂, but through your technique, I gotta do so easily, your explanation was so clear among the others. Love from India 🥰

Your hair looks amazing!! My hair is past my hips and I was wondering how long this takes you to do with your hair length and also how long did you practice? I’ve self taught myself how to do dutch braids but they fall in-front of my shoulders and I was wondering how to do it so they fall behind! Your video was so helpful and I’ll definitely be practicing it! Thank you x
Where the braid ends depends on how you braid the very bottom part attached to your head. If you get to the end part of your head and you've pulled it over your shoulder to finish braiding then it will end up over your shoulder
