The Prince needs to be a requirement for anyone seeking high office. Understanding the past is a key to the future. Machiavelli is as relevant today as it was in the 17th century.

What a historically significant writing about the acquisition of and the maintaining of power. I do have one question, how valid is the methodologies laid out here under a technocracy? Technological dominance is an entirely novel power differential which ultimately nullifies would be subjects and their their ability to revolt against over reaching tyranny. The days of torches and pitchforks are a long gone aspect of the balance of power of a would be ruler. This is why Technocracy is so frightening to me personally speaking.
I grabbed your Marcus Aurelius Meditations book , loving it so far. I think it's going to be easier to get others into stoicism since it's in today's language. Maybe an Epictetus book next?
Thank you, brother. I hope you're right that it will help more people get a grasp of what stoicism is about. Epictetus is a great idea! We're planning to release his "Enchiridion" in video format soon-it's a fantastic short-ish introduction to stoicism, while "Discourses" would probably work well in book format.

2:20 Possibly one of the most untrue statements in history, right at the start The thing about The Prince is it's not terribly complicated, it's mostly just presented in the most pretentious way imaginable, and lies to your face about not doing so. It's like how his book called "The Art of War" is not really about war at all and is basically just him saying "look at all these cool people I hang out with!" then proceeding to tediously recall a conversation between a bunch of characters from Assassin's Creed 2 masturbating to how cool the Romans used to be in somebody's back garden.
Funny putting the template over the English princes, some consider UK has become a new principality, and a failing one at that. People forget UK has really only began post 2016 and William doesn't appear to be following the Machiavellian wisdom.
