    Just made this today. So delicious😋. For people asking if it's low or high pressure, I used low for 27 mins no foil cover. Just like she did. Turn out so well. Thank you for this recipe🤗

    This cake was so delicious and fun to make. I am a big fan of 365 days of instant pot because of the great directions Karen Peterson uses. I can’t wait to try more recipes.

    I was able tonight to show my best friend's wife the making of this great recipe! Thanks very much for it! I've made it a couple of times at least since I first found it and like it a lot! Instead of the ganache when I made it for me I took a tub of chocolate frosting and added a banana to it and used my mixer and the oil in the banana thinned out the frosting and it worked well on the bundt cake! Take care!

    I have to say, I did make this and it is the most awesome cake! I used powdered sugar instead of the ganache and I will say it ended up being nothing short of amazing!

    It appears in the video that the low pressure. This in not noted in the printed recipe. Do you use low pressure for 27 minutes? Also could you use aluminum foil to cover the bundt cake pan to reduce water dripping on top the cake?

    First time I've seen that great sling/trivet, and am definitely getting one! The hot 'gloves' is a duh moment, too! And finally, the cake itself looks so tempting! Very nice presentation and end product! : )

    I wonder if a steamed pudding mold would work for this. I’m going to try making steamed puddings in my instant pot. Both sizes I have will fit in my pot. Now to work out times. I’ll try using this recipe and adjust from there.thank you for your helpful videos

    I've seen some videos where they cover the cake with foil to avoid water dripping on the top of the cake. I guess that's not necessary with this cake???

    Hi Karen :-D
    Through your link, I ended up buying a GLASS bundt pan, because I don't use anything non-stick or aluminum.
    *Would I still use the same cooking time with glass?*
    I also ordered 2 OXO slings. One for me, and one as a gift.
    I'm looking forward to trying your recipe.
    Blessings!!!

    I made this yesterday, and was very disappointed, it had such a very strange texture! I ended up throwing it away. I just watched this video, and realize it's a DENSE "cake". It certainly was dense & moist...NOT cake-like at all. I thought it hadn't cooked. It was thick/solid like jello (but not wiggly). I may have made some mistakes...I used the trivet and the sling together, did that make the cake too high? I cooked it on high, you hadn't specified temp/pressure, so I looked at another IP cake recipe - it was cooked on high pressure. Could that be the problem? I didn't have a Bundt cake pan, so used the regular IP pan. I covered it loosely with foil to keep drips off of the cake. I cooked it for 32 minutes, natural release 10 minutes. The cake wasn't flat at all. It was like a giant daisy - a middle circle with circle petals all around it, all the same size circles, all slightly puffy. It was VERY dark in the center; I thought maybe I'd burnt it somehow, but that was just the solid dense part, like cheesecake, only MUCH more solid than cheesecake, but about that MOIST consistency. So, I don't know if that was how it should have turned out. It did taste good, but I wasn't sure it had cooked enough, so not safe to eat; hence tossing it. Please advise...

    I don't mean to be a problem child, here, Karen, but on my IP Duo, there is a small bracket (right hand side exterior bottom).
    It shows up in every picture in the user manual with nothing to explain what it's for. Any ideas?

    • @kathleenzimmerman8227
      @kathleenzimmerman8227 5 лет назад

      @Jerry Gundecker ... if you really want a giggle, even the woman at customer service did not know what that bracket was used for. She made several suggestions including condensation cup, cord wrap & bracket that holds together the stainless steel. I still don't have an answer. :/ If you figure it out, please let me know. :-D

    • @jerrygundecker743
      @jerrygundecker743 5 лет назад +1

      @@kathleenzimmerman8227 Ms. Peterson was right, it was the condensation cup. The Right-hand side I was referring to was "as I look at it" It's on the bottom, just forward of the cord. A small one-inch structure and turns out to be a "spoon shelf". I've looked over all of the instant pot accessories and have no idea what kind of spoon it's for.

    • @kathleenzimmerman8227

      @@jerrygundecker743 I have the IP duo 8 qt, and mine is directly in the back. I can't imagine a spoon rest either on the side, nor in the back. It's just the wierdest thing! I have watched quite a few videos on the IP, and have never seen anyone rest a spoon anywhere. I can't imagine what kind of spoon would fit there, either.

      Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I have a 6" mini bundt pan so I will give it a try. It would be great if on your recipes you could make a note on how to adjust the ingredients and or time for the IP mini. Thanks again.

    Why did the bottom of the cake crack ??

    • @goatcheese4me
      @goatcheese4me 5 лет назад

      It didn't crack. 5:35 Closer to the middle, the cake rose higher than the edges. A fix to that is to use a sharp knife and level it, but it's not always easy in pans like bundt cake pans. My mom's sour creme pound cakes that she sold to clients always rose higher than the pan, so she leveled them with a bread knife and gave us annoying kids the shavings.
