Really enjoyed this. Your wife has an awesome personality! She's funny and good on camera, hopefully she becomes a regular on the channel haha. Congrats on the subs, well deserved.
I own the 2021 Sundara with ZMF fenestrated sheepskin pads, AKG K712 Pro, HD660s and the Drop 8xx with Dekoni fenestrated sheepskin pads. I did this with my wife who swears by Beats headphones (💩) with one of her favorite songs from Adele. I left alone on my computer and after a few minutes I heard someone crying and yep it was her listening to that song on the Sundara. She was like "I've listened to that song a million times and I just now I heard it for the first time, wow" Now she don't mind too much when I spend money on audio gear 🙏🏼
Possibly, but I definitely want to only share her experiences with only the knowledge she has on-hand so that we can get a totally unbiased and genuine layman review from her. On that she did a wonderful job!
My favourite type of video right here, its so sad that more people dont make videos of regular people reacting to good headphones. Thanks for making it!
As a bloke with a big head, good to hear when someone with a much smaller head than me complains about clamp force. I almost purchased an HD6XX a while back - glad I didn't. Hifiman Edition XS are the perfect clampforce for a bigger-than-average head.
I have a bigger head, and constant point of comparison since my father also decided to purchase some HD6XX. Every time I visit him I test his pair and his pair's clamp force is more noticeable (he uses them way less). My pair has evolved into some of the most comfy headphones I've owned. However it takes a while it seems.
I somehow l missed this back when you released it but just went back and watched it after seeing your continuation in the series! I loved this. Seeing you two interact is so fun and it’s also very interesting seeing your wife’s take on things from the perspective of someone who clearly doesn’t identify as an audiophile herself but also obviously has a very good ear for music. Very interesting perspective and highly entertaining! She’s a natural on the camera just like you are as well and I’ll look forward to seeing more from you two together in the future!
Great video. Lady Marslander has very good ears. She explains in her own words exactly what audiophiles associate with each headphone but in fancy words that sometimes the average listener struggles to understand. Air traffic control needs her asap. lol
Your wife gave better, more understandable sound quality descriptions of the headphones than 99% of the fluffy jargon out there used by most 'audiophile' headphone reviewers on RUclips. :) Bravo to her.
Great Review! Your wife is a natural, excellent perspective from someone coming in fresh doing a hot take on all those headphones. Good to see Hd8xx sounds the most expensive! I'm been eyeing those on my shortlist for next headphone to get.
It's great to hear about headphones from normal people. I'm a normal person and I get lost in audiophile speak. I've literally had to find translations for what terms mean (ie what is warm vs bright, what is imaging, what is soundstage, etc).
Audio terminology is already complicated on its own, let alone the weird word interpretations that audiophiles use. I still get lost myself sometimes. If you ever needs some tips on that junk, I do have some vocabulary videos on the channel to check out.
This is super pleasant, what a fun idea! Love the candid opinions, the editing is really fun! Congratulations on the sub milestone! I'm very curious what songs she was listening to. Did you suggest any tracks that might highlight some of the headphone's strengths?
Btw my wife said the same about the HD8XX they sound amazing but the bass wasn't that heavy. Those impressed her the most but somehow she preferred the Sundara with the ZMF pads a little better.
Everyone says the same thing another Sen’s 800’s ..great clarity , super wide soundstage..nice top end ….but it’s missing the sub bass and just need that tweak in the tuning to be damn near perfect…I hope Sen’s is listening. Great video and you’re a lucky man with such a helpful and good humored partner in your life . 👍☕️🍕
In my experience with the headphone hobby, any time I've tried multiple different headphones in the same listening session, I've just confused my ears and brain. I've gotten the most meaningful impression of headphones after having listened to them for at least a couple days. I didn't fully appreciate my Audeze LCD-X on the first night of listening, but the second time...oh man. (And no, I don't believe in burn-in, other than brain burn-in.)
@Mr Marlander……Including the Koss KPH40 in the comparison to the rest of those more expensive models would’ve been perfect. I bet they beat most of them.
14:30 Waifu Marslander: "They look to pedestrian to me"
Focal on suicide watch after that statement.
This was so cute!!!!! I love different content like this!

My mother doesn't even approve of my audiophile addiction.
Make her listen to Aphex twin
Get her addicted next

Love the candidness and hot-takes. Definitely creeping in the back. Can't wait for HiFi Wife Reviews Round 2!!
She might have liked the Focal if she saw the rest of the line and understood why they have that honeycomb texture.

Great review...It is quiet refreshing to hear such honest opinions. Congrats on your channel....

Love your vibe and your vids, keep em comin! You're both great!
so your wife is a basshead 🤣 but can appreciate clarity 👍
100% a bass glutton for sure. 😁

"creeping in the back" that's what i was thinking this whole time🤣
I'll wear some kind of slasher villain mask next time to really seal the deal.

HD8XX is awesome. It's easily one of my favorites.
That was a lovely take on headphone comparisons. Well done to both of you. Hugely entertaining. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Someone is outkicking their coverage in the wife department. Nice!
Congrats 🍾
Loved it! Great analysis for each set and you two are too freaking adorable! Congrats on the 500 subs! Can't wait to see what you do for 1000!!!
May the RUclips grind snowball keep growing bud.

Oh my god, the Chobits comment killed me. Those headphones do look super ridiculous.
👍⭐⭐👍

👍☕️🍕
if she had tried the ZMF atrium she would have been blown away
Hey and me both.
Subbed; hope your channel blows up! More indoctrination of normies please xD congrats on the milestone man
Thank you!
If your wife enjoys *omph!* you should have her listen to the Beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro! She'd LOVE that one for SURE! 😀
She'll be trying them out the next time she's on camera!
The hemp should have joined this battle :-)
She'll be back for a round 2. Definitely puting the Hemps in!
Thank you for this video i really enjoyed it. I have subscribed and hope your channel will grow grow grow 🎉
Thank you!

I'd need some kind of X-men super power to keep her seated for more than a few minutes of listening.
can u compare the sundara and the moondrop para?
I subscribed to your channel
Thank you!
Get this woman an MDR-Z1R, stat!
Ain't that the truth!
@@MasterMarslander I say so because her priorities seem to be comfort and bass, both of which the Z1R excels at. Anyway, enjoyable vid :-)

Maybe I'll put them in a round 2 video for her!
Where's Audeze!?
They'll be there for round 2!
Can you plz do a review on focal clear
Definitely plan on it. I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to pick one a set.
LOL! So similar to when I get my wife to audition my cans. I don't even bother with IEMs as she has tiny ears and hardly any fit.
Did she take the headphones in the divorce?
Just the really bassy ones.
Your wife is a better reviewer than you! Seriously!
Can't argue with that.
your wife is more beautiful than you
Your wife should become a RUclipsr.
No argument there!
She made a slip of the tongue only drill instructors would be very familiar with, "ear balls"
