Vintage "Password" with Ludden is fun because you also get to see celebrities of yesteryear who you are familiar with. This would be nice to see on some over-the-air DTV subchannel in my vicinity, which I'm unsure if Password is on any of them. Anyway, you not only get to see these movie/TV stars, but you also get to see them in their real life (not acting on a tv show), as well as you also get to see them as when they were still alive. Kinda sad really. Time flies when you're having fun.

Alan Ludden talked more lovingly about Jerry’s son. A normal parent would be proud and let the world know how happy they are if that child’s success, and since he mentioned he liked him, a more appropriate word would have been to say how much he loved him. He skirted around the issue of like versus love to justify why he couldn’t use the word. The best Jerry could muster up was that he liked him. Gary was disinherited and he was not invited to Jerry’s funeral. Jerry held a grudge because the boys were more empathetic towards their mother during their parent’s divorce. Seeing this tape kind of explains why. Jerry was still married to their mother, during this taping but was a known philanderer. I don’t think Jerry ever owned up to his part in the problems with his kids. It was just easier to discard them.

I dreamt I was hanging out with Jerry and through the whole dream I was following him from show to meetings and it was nonstop. The endurance it takes to keep on going and all the while showing your best side I was exhausted. I just wanted to go home and relax. These people have got endurance.

Being funny sometimes often times comes from emotional pain. You use that pain by saying things that almost come out vengeful, but your heart tempers it and it ultimately becomes funny upon delivery. Jerry was bullied and he turned being bullied into a positive through comedy. His audience soothed his hurt and he gave them sincere raw comedy. He was a genius and worldwide was loved. He left us endless laughter through seeing our vulnerability he gave us. He ultimately was a boy. A child we always remember in ourselves.
Jerry Lewis said many times that he needed the laugh and the applause. You either like Jerry Lewis or you don't... That's how it's always been. He happens to be my favorite. Period. He was 40 years old here and very handsome and a sharp password player.

Executive Decision It was because he was a hot-tempered, control freak, with a childish need to be the center of attention at all times. Allan was continually trying to placate him, saying "I know you're really a good guy" etc. It was obvious he was having a very difficult time trying to keep control of the show (and to keep sponsors happy), to the point where he snapped at Jerry a few times. I grew up enjoying his movies, but much later learned he had serious emotional issues, to my dismay. May he be at peace now.
Executive Decision It was not occasional after a few words, it wasn't funny, it was rude beyond belief, like when he bit the woman's hand. And Allen was bothered, he just has to be subtle about it, especially on air, to a touchy celebrity.

The contestants went on these shows to win money. Jerry was more interested in performing and making people laugh than playing the game for the contestants' benefit.
If you think he is bad, check out the Match Game episodes where Joyce Bulifant, Patti Deutsch, and Fannie Flagg try to be funny and cost people money at serious stages of a contest. Jerry, unmistakably, was an attention hound who liked to hear himself speak, see himself perform. He came off as obnoxious and over the top. But, he did give some intelligent clues and gave some equally intelligent answers for the overall week. I would like to see the first episode from 11/7/66, though.

Jerry's son Gary was in a great group with a lot of hits. My favorite song by them was "Count Me In" where Leon Russell was on keys.
Loved "Count Me In" it was my top favorite of theirs. Mom played their albums a lot. So many good songs that weren't hits like "Dreamin".

Being funny sometimes often times comes from emotional pain. You use that pain by saying things that almost come out vengeful, but your heart tempers it and it ultimately becomes funny upon delivery. Jerry was bullied and he turned being bullied into a positive through comedy. His audience soothed his hurt and he gave them sincere raw comedy. He was a genius and worldwide was loved. He left us endless laughter through seeing our vulnerability he gave us. He ultimately was a boy. A child we always remember in ourselves.
I heard MOST comedians are dark, disturbed individuals.

I wish Jerry hadn't screamed the clues, scaring partner into losing concentration. Also "performing" while other team trying to play. Worst thing about some celebrities is when they went for laughs and the spotlight instead of trying to help their partners win!
Executive Decision It was because he was a hot-tempered, control freak, with a childish need to be the center of attention at all times. Allan was continually trying to placate him, saying "I know you're really a good guy" etc. It was obvious he was having a very difficult time trying to keep control of the show (and to keep sponsors happy), to the point where he snapped at Jerry a few times. I grew up enjoying his movies, but much later learned he had serious emotional issues, to my dismay. May he be at peace now.
Executive Decision It was not occasional after a few words, it wasn't funny, it was rude beyond belief, like when he bit the woman's hand. And Allen was bothered, he just has to be subtle about it, especially on air, to a touchy celebrity.
Executive Decision I said I enjoyed watching his movies growing up. His antics on Password were definitely inappropriate. He wasn't invited to "perform". There's a time and a place for everything. Enough said.

That was his persona! Not sure what you are talking about! If they were talking about serious and compelling topics then you would be right! That wasn't out of context at all! I'm confused! Jerry biting the lady's hand was comedy! He did that with other actors and actresses before! People need to relax and stop being so damn judgmental with everything! What's the problem??? I know that many people in this country judge JL a lot, but this is ridiculous! The guy is not even here anymore! R.I.P Jerry :(

The contestants went on these shows to win money. Jerry was more interested in performing and making people laugh than playing the game for the contestants' benefit.

If you think he is bad, check out the Match Game episodes where Joyce Bulifant, Patti Deutsch, and Fannie Flagg try to be funny and cost people money at serious stages of a contest.
Jerry, unmistakably, was an attention hound who liked to hear himself speak, see himself perform. He came off as obnoxious and over the top. But, he did give some intelligent clues and gave some equally intelligent answers for the overall week.
I would like to see the first episode from 11/7/66, though.
