Hello, great tutorial. I appreciate how you explain step by step very clear with an English expression understandable even for those like me who are not English speakers. Greetings from Switzerland.
I think initial drivers had the amd software in it but lenovo stopped supplying it no idea why. Not sure what the lightning symbol is on that egpu but I'd guess its a performance boost of some kind. Maybe drawing more power and ramping up fan speed to cope. But I could be wrong
Thank you. Great camera quality. What are you using to record? I just used your microsoft store link and downloaded the application, and that fixed everything.
Thank you for this. One thing I noticed when I followed the instructions from before is that my gpu and vram info stopped showing in the legion space’s frame monitor (when “all” is selected) did you experience this? Also it is still persisting after going to Lenovo official drivers.
Yeah, the lenovo overlay has always been temperamental, but no idea why it doesn't fix itself when going back to lenovo drivers. I use handheld companion and that brings riva statistics and I use that for overlaying stats. It can be temperamental as well
It’s definitely not a show stopper, I find that riva and even the amd adrenaline software show the necessary info but was hoping to get it back for completion sake 😅thanks!
@@HandheldGamingFan Hey just as an update to this, I found that I could get legion space detecting gpu again by "reset this pc" under recovery settings and I even selected "keep my files"... still had to re-download my games on C drive tho :/
@@tythedev9582 I installed a 2tb drive in my lenovo - I don't fancy downloading all of them again. Probably would have if it was stock 512gb. Great to know though, so thank you for the feedback. have you checked the driver version in AMD adrenaline - see if that matches (it might have replaced this behind the scenes)
@@HandheldGamingFan I forgot to check which version it was running, but I did run the update just as my “new LeGo checklist” also the update exe was still in the downloads folder following the reset 😂 integer scaling seems to be operational and all that 👍
Am i going insane or does the microsoft store not have the amd software app....i cannot find it anywhere? I cant figure out how to install. UPDATE- followed your link and didn't work first time but worked after a few more tries. Maybe Microsoft issue.
@@HandheldGamingFanthanks for being willing to do that. I'm sure others might want a link if they run into my issue. It finally worked. Probably a Microsoft issue. I couldn't find the software anywhere on amd site.

The latest amd drivers seems to stop you from getting fps in the overlay, and as it is untested on the legion go could potentially cause issues. So some people are more comfortable sticking with official lenovo ones. It's possible that lenovo could tweak drivers for better performance. But as you've seen its been fine for you. This video just gives people the knowledge to swap back and forth if they need to
I‘m on the latest Lenovo drivers since i got the device and also have a non working FPS counter, like many others. So it’s not just a thing of AMD drivers.
At what point do you get a blue screen? If you get the option to boot in safe mode with no drivers take it. Then do the uninstall of the driver and remove the amd directory steps, reboot and go in to legionspace , settings and drivers section and see if it lists any graphics driver updates and install it if it does
@HandheldGamingFan pretty much all the time here and there even when I sometimes just log in but I've tried downloading drivers manually see if that works I'm at work now I need to figure out how to get on safe mode not sure how do that yeat
@ryanturbogaming6428 do you have a usb hub, or dock that you could plug in a wired keyboard? There should be a keypress that brings up a menu to pick safe mode from. I'll have a quick Google and see if I can find it.

Make sure restarted and the device isn't plugged in to anything that takes over the sound (my monitor does that even though it has no speakers). If that doesn't fix it go to c drive then program files folder then AMD folder then CIM then Bin64 and run AMDCleanupUtility. It will ask to restart in safe mode and run say yes to that. This is to clean out graphics and audio drivers. After its complete run the downloaded driver install again, don't think you need to redo the adrenaline software install. Check if sound is working again
Just though, click the speaker icon in the task bar, make sure the volume is above 0. Also click the icon to the right of the volume slider and make sure output device is speakers realtek audio. Do this before the above step (if you read this in time)
That's odd. Let me take a look at the process see if there's some way to ensure everyone has the same result. I'll get back to you with what I find out
Okay, so 23.9.2 is the version that is included in the lenovo drivers download, so you are actually on the correct version of adrenaline for the device. I think the downloading of adrenaline is an unnecessary step as it is included in the file from lenovo. I will do a new video

I need help, i have a laptop Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H. I've been trying to update my processor (R5 5600H). I tried literally EVERYTHING. I used AMD Cleanup Utility, DDU, i also followed this video steps. I always have problems trying to install AMD Software. Hey I have a quick question have you been paying attention to the CPU on the legion go because after I did the update my CPU is super low when I'm game playing but the GPU is at like 99% it just stays at 99% but the CPU stays no more than like 15% it'll stay lower than that 10% 9% at times I mean is it because the CPU boosters off that's if it has it? Please let me know thank you 👍
I've not noticed this, which drivers are you on? And are you seeing this in all games? I'm wondering if you've got the graphic settings too high so it's capping out on graphics and is starving the cpu
Sorry I had just woken up. What I should have asked is how are the games playing for you. I'm wondering if lenovo frame counter is broken. It's a bit buggy to begin with but
