There’s no way I’m going to blame any of the talent, Eric Bishoff or Vince Russo. The fact that Time Warner wanted nothing to do with wrestling on their stations made it impossible for WCW to survive. Even if Nash “took his ball and went home” that didn’t matter. WCW’s success didn’t lie on his creative shoulders.
Executives didn’t want WCW on their stations once it started to lose 10 million dollars in one month. Lol. They loved WCW when it was profitable and bringing great ratings

i love watching old kevin nash shoot interviews but his podcast with Oliver is so hard to listen to. Its boring as shit, theres a lot of his clips with clickbait titles. a 12 minute video and 60 seconds of talking about title of video.
I think he's checked out....whether from the deaths he's experienced recently or he's just tired of talking wrestling or a combo of both. If you watch clips of the show here on RUclips, I'd say 3/4 of them are Oliver trying to get anything at all out of Nash as he mumbles uncommittedly about the subject at hand.

Im not gona lie i think konnan was so f'n good in wcw i used to love his promos he was over !! Eddie guerrero promos in wwe sounded very similar to ones konnan cut in wcw orale vato loco ect i heard those type of promos from konnan in wcw before i heard eddie cut them in wwe ...i used to see konan as someone who could main event but wcw was too stacked n konan had one HUGE thing against him ...He was latino
Eddie was actually Mexican/Chicano though. He actually was from the culture that Konnan was emulating. Not that he portrayed that early in his career, but he would've been able to observe it. Also, Eddie started drifting that way towards the end of his WCW run when he was in the Filthy Animals with his promos. Konnan grew up in Florida and is Cuban. He grew up around a different lifestyle/culture. Konnan's gimmick was a general blend of gang/rap culture from across the country. He combined a bunch of slang that in no way he could've learned in one region nor from one race.
Even though Eddie was a really bad toned down ese stereotype, he stayed in one lane. He wasn't using new rap slang or combining slang from different urban cultures across the US. Konnan was all over the place with his gimmick which didn't work long term IMO. Great wrestler though. Just thought that his gimmick came off as someone that obviously didn't grow up in that lifestyle. As bad as Eddie's "ese" schtick was he at least sounded consistent.
Being from pretty close to where Yokozuna lived it cracks me up to this day that the west coast rap culture got into mainstream wrestling because Yokozuna(a Polynesian) decided to listen to rap during his WWF tours, lol.

Konnan says he's temperamental, but he always comes off as level-headed and reasonable. I never saw him in WCW but I've become a fan because of his commentary/podcast clips. Will have to check out videos of his WCW amd TNA era.

From what I know, Konnan took money to appear on Oliver's show, Kayfabe Commentaries, and no showed. What has Oliver done besides call him out on it? It's not like wrestlers haven't emphasized how important money is time and again. Konnan was def one of the coolest things in wrestling. Love him in ECW so much. When I first seen him coming out with his triple A attire with the triple A belt in WcW he was awesome. Dungeon of Doom was lame until Konnan started reppin it. That’s when he started wearing street clothes to the ring, so over. The coolest version of the nWo was the original black and white with Hogan, Nash, Hall, Konnan, & PAC. It should’ve stayed that way

what exactly was it that caused Konnan & Nash to fall out first?
It was way back in the WCW days but basically like at the end of 1998 or the beginning of 1999 Kevin Nash got mad at Konnan because Kevin was late to a show and Konnan made a joke that Kevin was probably getting a lap dance, it was really because of the weather but Kevin apparently got really upset about that (not sure why) and it just kind of went downhill from there.
