In general, Japanese pedestrians feel hesitant/guilty to cross the road at the red light, even when a car is not passing. I think it's because it's our habit to follow traffic rules seriously.
My surprise about Japan is that there are few countries in which school students learn swimming in the PE class other than Japan. A Ghanaian told me that in his country someone can swim and someone can’t. So, how about you guys?

I heared people in Osaka follow a rule like "Go faster when the light is yellow, go carefully when the light is red".
