    Without a car, it was difficult for me to get a job in America. There are so many types of workers in Japan: part time workers, keiyaku syain, haken, shokutaku. The differences between shain and contracted workers are the length of paid vacation, salary, the list goes on. If you are syain, you won't be laid off easily. Shain has more responsibilities than contracted workers and they might be relocated.
