    To add to one of the other comments,I don’t think you’re a s#/£ fisherman either.I really look forward to your videos.I think you represent what most of us lure anglers are really like,just loving the whole scene,and getting a few fish.The size is immaterial.

    Perch are very weird sometimes in terms of actually biting
    My weirdest encounter whilst fishing was at Bowscale Tarn….a group of around 15 naked ramblers appeared down the fell side. They were all men.
    Naked except for rucksacks, boots and hats.
    Fair play to them.
    They’d have to do a bit of explaining perhaps if they attended (Cottagers corner featured on your video and famously on the Charlie Vitch channel).

    • @zombiebitefishing
      @zombiebitefishing  Месяц назад

      Perch are definitely picky most of the time! I rarely find them actively feeding unfortunately.
      Haha that's a proper weird encounter, guess they were having fun 😅
      Yes that's the famous cottagers corner 😬

    I encountered a drunk person while fishing one session. He followed me half way up the canal just to try and make me give him my fishing rod so he could show me some fancy trick or secret or something.
    I just pretended I didnt speak much English and carried on. At the same time I couldnt really fish properly because I was afraid that he would either try and attack me (he still had the bottle in his hand) or he would push me in as I was fishing. Ended up not doing much fishing that session and walking away from him.
    He wasnt a very fast walker and I managed to get far far away from him but the moment i started fishing again. Id see him walking towards me 5-10mins later. I stopped fishing and went home.

    • @zombiebitefishing
      @zombiebitefishing  Месяц назад

      Omg that's horrible mate, never had someone following me for that long, well I had a kid with the grandad but they were okay 😅 but yeah that's definitely stressful I would do the same.

    • @Rose.Of.Hizaki
      @Rose.Of.Hizaki Месяц назад +2

      @@zombiebitefishing Yeah, It surprised me too! I thought he would have gotten bored and left me alone after the second or third time I walked away from him but he kept on following and following.
      I dont mind people following for a chat so long as they are polite and not getting in my way but this guy was in my personal space when I stopped to do a few casts.
      Thankfully, He was a one off. I mostly have positive encounters and interactions with people when out fishing.
      Most people want to know if you caught anything and how big etc while other people ask about what they need to start fishing.
      Not everyone is terrible.

      @zombiebitefishing  Месяц назад

      @@Rose.Of.Hizakiyeah, same experience here, I had 3 or 4 not so good encounters overall, and I'm not even counting this as a bad one, the guy was just a bit annoying but left quickly 😅

    I was once told to respect the God made water as Jesus walked on it. Regents Canal between Camden Town and Kings Cross.*
    I told him that as a fisherman I know this and showed him the bag of rubbish collected (I always leave a swim cleaner than I find it), caught a little roach, wet my hands before touching and returned gently, explaining my actions...
    He blessed me and left happy, me fully expecting a sermon...
    Camley Rd? The community garden/allotment/wildlife site? It was a long time ago, roaming with a 4m whip, maggot on the inside ledge...
    Great little session - that was a feisty little pike who if he continues on real crays that size it won't be long before he's more than a handful!

    • @zombiebitefishing
      @zombiebitefishing  Месяц назад +2

    My weirdest was when fishing on the river seven at atcham . I was night fishing when I heard footsteps approaching me. They stopped behind me and I thought it was my friend who was fishing about 20 yards further down river. I shouted his name a few times but got no response, then the footsteps started moving off down river. I got up to see who it was but saw no one,even though it was a clear moonlit night. Not long after my friend came running up terrified,saying that he wanted to leave as he had the same experience and when he looked to see if I was behind him there was no one there,and he heard the footsteps continuing on down river. I had a similar experience when with my brother in law at the same spot. This time a torchlight shone on my umbrella,but when I got up to see who was there , there was nothing, a few minutes later my brother in law came and asked if I had seen the same thing,and again there was no one there.

    My scariest one was fishing rochdale canal with my lad, we wanted the bridge but someone was already fishing there (sat down, with a long pole) so we walked further down.
    A bloke cycled out from under the bridge waaay too fast just as a lady who was walking her dog turned into our end of the tunnel, the cyclist lost control trying to avoid the dog and crashed into the guy pole fishing - then went into a furious rage at the angler for "damaging his bike", ended up as a full on fight and I had to take my lad out of there quickly.
    It was lucky for us that day that we weren't where we intended to be fishing, or he would have crashed into us
