      I couldn't resist @maria kirk I'm forever noticing and sketching or photographing these things and then I think, "Hmm I suppose others would find it lovely too?" So, I'm glad I shared it now. Good morning Donna. I just returned from my favorite southcoast antique shop, Acushnet River Antiques in New Bedford. Worth the trip, right off 195. I was very happy that the vendor accepted an offer on a beautiful Weller jardineire that I've been watching for awhile. Rainy days are perfect for treasure hunting! I haven't been to the Wareham Flea Market since last year, pre-covid.

      Isn't it a great place to go shopping for antiques and such, tho not always the best prices, but estate sales (of which were only online this year) are the best. OH How I wish I could take all of you to an estate sale at old houses around here, the treasures you can find and even the fun 'looking' of the thing. Maybe that world will return one day.

    I can't believe it, I have that flying goose with the metal wings hanging outside and one of those swans. I believe I must've done art shows with the decoy maker, I believe he was from your area.
    THis is the kind of shop I love, absolutely cluttered with treasure yet to be found in every nook and cranny. The green pie-safe is great. I see a spool box I would like and the tall white water dispenser... and the preying mantis garden art, Oh, You're killin me!
    Great price on the Green yellow-ware pitcher!

    Tasha Tudor, dressed in old timey clothes, from an early age. We loved her, just because. She was so simple and sweet. She taught us how to be ourselves and like us. Thanks for showing us around your world. And how to enjoy our world, too. In 1983, I rode on the "Olaf, sailboat, at Provincetown , Cape Cod. By moonlight, we observed a celebration of nation's and their sail ships with their cadets in training. Beautiful. Back in the 1800's, if you weren't a farmer, you would have been a sailor. Thanks for the trip to the nautical shop. Liked the Victorian fountain, sweet.....e

    Really sweet visit to the antique/thrift store. That place defines the description seaside quaint...gotta love it! ...I was wondering if the green pottery stein depicting the old fisherman holding a stein was perhaps a McCoy pottery piece? McCoy was my mother's favorite pottery to collect and she seriously began her quest around 1980 along with her 4 dear cousins who were like sisters...yes, they clamored and competed but never had more joy in their lives spending an early day then catching lunch then more markets for other fun finds. ...I still collect McCoy and dearly love my memories. BTW, I'm doing well with hope and meds and the healing "chi" you bestowed me. I plan to learn more about aspects of chi because of you. I will share my learning and developing insights into chi at the treatment center and with friends. All forms of positive focused living lead to growing in soul. Thank you. ...Enjoy! ...Shalom!

    • @DonnaDavisArt
      @DonnaDavisArt  4 года назад +1

      It IS a McCoy and I was so excited as another commentor pointed it out and Was so happy as I broke my mother's favourite McCoy bowl a few years back and have not found a replacement for it, so knowing this was also McCoy and in that wonderful green it made me smile and also made me realize I'm going to be on the hunt for more of it in the future. And hopefully will find that bowl replacement one day, when it's meant to be.
      Well, I hope some good chi finds its way to you and you feel it's healing affects :) Have a Lovely Day @Curtiss Childress

    I follow a fellow who is a British Mudlarker, who is very similar, just a pleasure to listen to.

The beginning of your show here is awakening the Collectors Lust in me!! Fishing stuff is my thing!! Other stuff too like my Tiger Carnival ride from the 1940's but oh my the ocean and fishing items you are showing!!!!
    Those baskets are beautiful! We don't see them here very often. I have a replica of one, which works and is well made but of course lacks patina and signs of life.
    With the creels, watch for any that have the hole in the centre of the lid. As you have seen the hole is almost always on the one end, but a center hole will greatly increase the value and the seller may not know.
    Love that pitcher very much sort of has a Treasure Island feel! If I could find a drinking mug like that it would be awesome.
    What a great video!!!!

      Those are old floats for fishing , they would hold up nets or also be markers for where lobster pots and such would be set. Before they used wood/cork and then plastic and polystyrene, glass woven into net was used , as it floats on water. These are often found in antique shops and such around coastal areas. I think the earliest ones recorded are 1840s or so in Norway. I have a few hanging about Bunny Hall. They're pretty to catch the light coming through windows or in gardens. Hello. I enjoyed the vlog. You have to most def team up with Bad Friends! Their videos low-key are like Yes Theory and MrBeast. They are the funniest friend group on the planet and they get drunk on RUclips.
    You should definitely see their YT out and give the team a subscribe! 👉 #YourBaddestFriends
