- Here is another review of the Freewing and E-Flite F-16 jets. We do a hard flight on both of these planes and try to show off all there capable of. Later we do a formation with both planes and oops there was a bit of a crash at the end. We hope you guys enjoy this video.

That is good to know that the Freewing is pretty crash resistant and faster. Both do look like a ton of fun!

WES this is a great video I love doing the side by side comparison especially with both planes in the air at the same time. That plane looks pretty good for how hard it went in. Love the idea of getting John VHRC on the show. Met him last weekend and he is a super cool guy that is going to be a future flying buddy soon hopefully. He and GB are pretty cool guy's that don't live to far from me. Great work MERRY BOOZER'S ✌️😎 ✌️
Awesome flying! Love the formation stuff. You cant control everything. Crashing is part of ripping the sticks. Although seems like in this case it was a mechanical issue. No matter awesome flying!
That was some great flying Wesley and the formation flight was awesome. Sorry to see one go in but it really took it well.

@Merry Boozer RC In this video, which Freewing power package F16 was this? I recently purchased the high performance and I am wondering if mine is the upgrade to the one in this video or the same.
Wes, just get a piece of blue insulation foam, use it to repair the wing, then bust out the airbrush. I have used this foam to rebuild alot of stuff on foam planes. Works fantastic. I think it would make a very good shop video. Just cut an oversize piece, glue in (i use gorilla glue with no water, cover seam with painters tape while glue sets, nice smooth seams) sand to shape, seal with a little light weight spackle, final sand, prime, paint. Indistinguishable from rest of plane when done.

Two really sweet 16’s I have them. Loving the Freewing Artic pro personally. I think the EF 16 is a little easier to fly but I haven’t put my finger on it as to why ?

Stock vs Stock the Freewing has a better power system, but the intake design is superior on the FMS (Which allows it to fly high alpha much better) and when you mod them the FMS crushes the choked Freewing design. I had both and sold the FW. Love the channel guys!
I have noticed all the EDF jets that I make the cheater holes bigger, tends to deliver high alpha. Probably is the design and placement of the cheater holes.
Did enjoy very much flying them together. I like them both, IMO, the E-flite foam looks cheaper, popcorn like.
Between the two, it's a very difficult choice for which one to add to my list. I like the e-flite because of the safe as3x features, but the Freewing looks cooler, and I'm sure it has something just like it if these are Bind n' Fly.

Great video and love how close they got during formation flying. If both had gyro stab, I wonder if difference in high alpha was due to the difference in gyro hardware?
Nope Freewing has a gyro in it I just didn’t have it on for this flight but it doesn’t help get the nose up. Check out the other video I did on them also.

You mentioned that you had no gyro in the Freewing model. Did you fly the E flite with a gyro?

I really tried to get my F15 off wet grass the other day but it would not lift off... must be too much drag although the grass was short.

Both are great planes. Although the camo scheme on the Freewing is beutifull not the best for tracking on a cloudy day.

abir anwar we are from Florida and unfortunately I don’t know anyone out in Dallas although there are some great flying clubs out there my suggestion would be to joking the local club and start flying with them
Does the bottom of the Freewing have all the cut outs and cheater holes like the eflite? You think the eflites high Alfa is due to the cut outs? Eflite f16 is my fav only thing I have been taking to the field!
It has cheater holes but not as many or as big I’m not sure what makes them so much different on this but I do have the new high performance version of the Freewing coming so we will se how that one is soon.

You could fix that wing with a piece of boxing tape just fold it right over the shark bite... And color it with a sharpy..
The Eflite high alpha is better because you have the battery back farther. Move the battery back it the Freewing a bit. I fly my Freewing sightly tail heavy, and my Eflite centered.
IIRC the F-16 has lots of cheater holes to feed air to EDF in hi alpha position. Not great for scale looks but the holes obviously help.

I had the Freewing F-16 no gyro..... Some how I lost it at a flying field like this one it just did not want to respond but I will be getting another Freewing F-16 I just love the artic camo design
A new one was ordered as soon as we got home. I actually have the original gray model at home and now I will add the retracts from the crashed one. And have the new version 😉
@@MerryBoozerRC I've seen online that many of these freewing go down because of the blue board being faulty

I took my f16 fms landing gear off and hand toss it's a real fun jet now so much power from the Inrunner btw it's the Same thing eflite fms is behind thr jets f4 f15 (havic I heard rumors....
Really like the buddy fly video style of this video.. that being said, I am on Motion's site, as I love the camo theme better but you say the Eflite does high alpha better...but I also like speed.. uhg!?!?!?!?!?

300 bucks gets me a simple BnF (easy setup)... $260 Camo (high performance version) saves me 40 bucks and I will use one of my AR635 receivers ... HELP! LOL
Ok so to be honest if I could only have one the E-Flite F-16 is the best plane I’ve flown all year so that would be my recommendation don’t get me wrong the Freewing is amazing but the E-Flight is magic

I actually have the old motor in my free wing the new version comes with an upgraded in runner motor so it will be a little faster than mine but I also think the difference cheater holes on the E-flight plus it’s lighter makes it fly different I also like the plastic they made it on the leading edge slats

What's high alpha?
I got the freewing 70 Alaskan aggressor
It’s flight with a nose high attitude. Almost like flying with the wing stalled at all times... hard to explain.... At slower speeds, an airplane must increase its alpha (point the nose higher) in order to continue flying in a straight line. High-alpha maneuvers are maneuvers performed at slow speeds with high angles of attack, close to a stall, demonstrating the aircraft's maximum maneuverability at slow speeds.

@@MerryBoozerRC Wow really? I saw you Viper video and thought you liked it. I was thinking the AS3X would be good for my first EDF. So you would recommend the Avanti over the Viper for a first EDF?
The viper is good but if you aren’t flying off a smooth hard surface it struggles landing and taking off. It’s awesome in the air. But I feel the avanti is a superior airplane and the suspension retracts coupled with the larger tires make it land and takeoff out of grass much easier. I’ve always bad to give my honest opinion to you guys and in this situation I think you were going to enjoy one of the other two jets more if you have your heart set on the Viper it does fly phenomenal
I agree with Eflite, hi-alpha all day long..
Looks like a classic Spectrum crash to me. Batteries don't disconnect in level flight. My buddy had 6 crashes and I watched 4 of them. All 4 identical, a gradual nose into the ground. Two of them still had the battery connected and servos working properly when found.
Could be we where just guessing. We are both confident flyers and it definitely lost something although it wasn’t a spectrum receiver. In all fairness this was an admiral receiver. But it is DSM
Why is it every time there's a free Wing plane involved there is always drama. The nice thing about freewing is that it comes with free excuses. I knew it wasn't the pilot he flew excellent.
Nope just had some kind a problem but as promised will always show you even if it crashes
