We have the worst beat reporters in history not just in college football. Of course Rashada said he wanted to be a gator he had 13 million reason why. The truth is that he was never going to get a dime once lagway committed a few weeks later.
Napier after we lose to Vandy again next year:

All these SunBelt Billy fans preaching patience but were quick to run off Mullen after one bad year because he “couldn’t recruit”. Now Napier is recruiting at the same level and can’t coach for shit.

I still like Napier but when HC’s don’t communicate regularly like this, especially in programs with UF’s stature, it can lead to fan base thinking he doesn’t care which can lead to a fan base that doesn’t care……that’s how programs die. Just have an occasional conference, TALK TO US !!!
He’s getting us Elite five star talents within the top ten in the country that’s why he’s not making vids as often because the man is working hard to rebuild our program and the only way to do that is with elite talent look at Georgia but we have dj lagway comming to Florida and that guy is special he has the ability to change our entire program
he has press conferences more than mullen did. he's busy recruiting. takes a lot of work if you want a good product on the field.
I’ll rather him be out doing his job and getting kids to turn our team/ program around who cares if he talks to us ? It’s the offseason we should be wanting to not see him 🐊🐊 Hopefully this year is better then the last two 🥴

It took Mike Norvell until year 3 to see results. It might take one more year to see our results.
@@Mahsen_Hollowell21 exactly this. people were laughing at norvell in year 1 and 2 and look at them now. just because some new coaches overperform year 1, doesn't mean every situation is the same. i trust billy napier and the gators to get better year over year.

@@rickyrougs Because Norvy went 3 years without being bowl eligible with the top 10 recruiting classes Jimbo left behind. Obviously if you give any HC 4 years to find a qb and get above .500 they can eventually get to 9 wins in the ACC. Nape was bowl eligible in his first year.
I hear everyone, personally I want to see 8 wins this season. It’s not asking too much. If we had a better defense and a consistent QB we could’ve won atleast 9 games. Some of the play calling was bad but whatever, it’s the past now so I’m hoping he worked out the kinks of year one in the sec
Who cares about this whole NIL crap. I want to hear about the up-and-coming players and their role in helping get Florida back to winning the SEC
Jury still out on Napier but once again no 5 stars and as the season went on last year we got worse, not a good sign.

@@uf1978 it ultimately depends on what recruiting website you trust or want to base it off of. 247 sports is always viewed as the "final" and "ultimate" source but On3 has Eugene Wilson as a 5-star recruit and he's part of the 2023 Gator class. The season got worse because Florida had no depth, Billy was blatant with that in press conferences and that has been getting resolved with this class. The mass exodus of Mullen's players is a positive sign, they didn't want to put in the work, a gator player literally went on a podcast and said that, that Billy demands alot and alot of players didnt want to put in the work. Also fans have come to this notion that stars are everything and they are to an extent. Like a 2 star is no where near a 4 or 5 star players level but some of these kids that are marked 4-star, the separation between them and the 5 stars is so small, to put it in racing terms its literally like milliseconds from 1st and 2nd place. So just because Billy got 18 4-stars with no 5-stars doesnt mean he failed in acquiring talent. All that matters is player development. Stetson Bennett was a 3-star, dude is a 2x national champion QB now. Kyle Trask was also a 3-star, dude was a Heisman finalist. O'cyrus Torrence a 3-star OT, man is a First-Team All American.
Yup, we fired Mullen because he “couldn’t recruit” and we hired a guy who sucks at coaching because he’s a “great recruiter”…. And now he’s recruiting at the same level as Mullen but the on-the-field product is atrocious. We’ll be lucky to go 5-7 or 6-6 this year and the 2024 schedule looks like it will be brutal as well. Napier is going to run this program into the bottom of the SEC.

Napier’s recruiting isn’t much better than Mullen’s. Time will tell. Having said, Gators fans should expect another losing season. Also, the 2024 schedule is brutal so 6 wins will be a miracle. Napier will be in done in 2 years WITHOUT winning 7 games in a season.
lol Mullen recruited blindly and was not a personable guy that recruits connected with and wanted to play for, Napier is recruiting with a purpose and players see he is genuine and can actually connect with him. If y'all thought Napier was somehow gonna recruit a Top 5 class magically in his 1st year then y'all are crazy. And this is the problem with Florida fans, y'all see a season with 7 wins or less and demand for the coaches head and keep the program in a perpetual state of limbo where no foundation can ever be created. Georgia has had 2 coaches in the past 20 years, Florida has had what 6 or 7. That's why we are behind Georgia because y'all are quick to demand a coaches head after 2 years and not letting any structure or foundation be built. Mike Norvell had 3 consecutive losing seasons and look at him now. Stop thinking in short term results and think about long-term results for once, this is why the average American could never run a business, y'all short on patience and y'all want everything today.
