“Casually enjoyable” is a pretty spot on way of putting it. I just feet like Netflix makes the same movie over and over again in the heist genre, hoping they break that cycle soon. Great review as always, Chris!

@@MoviesAndMunchiesWill you be doing a non-spoiler review of Tokyo Vice Season 2 when it comes out in the States on 8th of February, Chris? I'm in the UK so I don't have Max and I don't think it will be available until (hopefully) the BBC picks it up in the future after it's U.S run concludes like they did with the 1st Season. The BBC had 'second window rights' to broadcast Season 1 so yeah, I'm hoping that's the case for Season 2 as well because it was one of my favourite shows of last year. Cheers! 👍🏽

Hey Chris, in the streaming world,. sometimes background noise isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes when I practice guitar and some of the stuff on guitar is beyond tedious (you know, scales), having background noise can be nice to have unless you enjoy playing, say, the A flat scale fifty times in a row. :)
You do a really good job of communicating how terrible a movie is without bashing it. It’s really impressive

All the gadgets take ingenuity from the heists making it predictable.

would I been guessing wrong if thie movie is basically just THE ITALIAN JOB or OCEANS ELEVEN...each individual has their own skill set that makes them essential to the team (not just these 2 movies but countless others)...I have not watched it yet, about to watch it now and I guess I will be back in another couple of hours with my follow up review.
Ok...it took me 3 days to watch this movie because it's DRIBBLE!,
1st off kevin Hart, we know you can act (TRUE STORY on netflix) yet you insist on pumping out crap movies for Netflix, I'll give you this, this movie was better than ME TIME and THE MAN FROM TORONTO (thats not saying much),
2nd who you trying to be in this movie Peirce Brosnan from THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR...it ain't working bro, you trying to be suave and sophisticated and all I can see is goofy Kevin Hart.
3rd you and Gugu Mbatha-Raw HAVE NO CHEMISTRY WHATSOEVER...totally unbelievable, that kiss at the end seemed so forced
4th the CGI was BAD, laughable at times
5th Vincent D'Onofrio...what were you doing in this mess?...you were barely in it, his character almost seemed pointless.
6th, this movie ripped off every heist movie ever made...shit, FAST FIVE was better than this.

So a passable movie if you don’t actively watch it.
When i saw the movie was only like a hour n 40 minutes. I was like how?? Based off the plot alone it shoulda been 2 hours at least. Lol.
Casually enjoyable basically describes 90% of the original movies on Netflix and pretty much most of what's on Hulu Disney plus Prime video etc seems like that's there Bread and butter 🍞🧈 😂 but I'll probably watch this since I liked Me Time and some of Kevin heart's other movies can you please do a review for the new Netflix series Boy who swolled the world it looks really interesting and I was wondering what your thoughts were 🙂

Throughout the decades we've seen actors in movies play a similar role as Kevin Hart in this movie. Robert Redford in Sneakers, Michael Caine and Mark Wahlberg in The Italian Job movies, Nicholas Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds, George Clooney in Ocean's Eleven. To then think Kevin Hart could also play a similar role is just bad casting. Kevin Hart is basically what David Spade would be if Hollywood ever made him a leading man in the 1990s. A comedic actor with an annoying schtick that lacks the true acting skills to carry a film like this by himself or to at least elevate the role that was written for him
Lost interest around the 20th minute mark, turned the movie off

Each of Netflix movies with Hart so far has been awful - weak script, lazy, very forgettable. Hart has become synonymous with lack of quality for me, he's a pay-check, one-note hack.
