      Hi Dom, delete the virtual appliance or the SAS engine and re-create it again. Carefully follow the steps in the video and you should be good to go

    I have the same problem with the step at 3:20 min. I have checked the Base Folder and it has the right preference as VM, namely: /Users/myusername/VirtualBox VMs
    But I still receive the same error as you mentioned in the video? Do you know what can the problem be?

    • @ITVidz
      @ITVidz  4 года назад +1

      Hi Hussein, at 2:59 min, just click import and the appliance should import without any problems. If it doesn't, you may need the step at 3:20 min. It will also help, if you can take a snapshot of the error message that you receive after 2:59 min and share it here. I know it maybe the same, but I like to see it from your own screen. That way, we will all be troubleshooting the same problem.

      Hi @@ITVidz! Thank you for answering!
      Yeah, I did exactly the same thing both at 2:59 min and 3:20, The Base Folder looks good in my case and i did again the step at 3:20 to make sure that the problem is not there.
      Here you have a snapshot of the error I get:

    I followed your video instructions. But as I was ready to start on my web browser SAS UE studio a message "A shared folder named "my folders" was not found on the virtual Machine. That is the same message as on your video (4:56). Do you have any idea how to fix it? For some reason we are not sharing the created folders...

    can i use sas enterprise version on mac?

    • @ITVidz
      @ITVidz  4 года назад +1

      Hi Stone. Sas enterprise guide or version to my knowledge is available for windows. To run it on Mac, you may have to install windows operating system (OS) in a virtual box environment, then use Remote Desktop to connect to it on your Mac. You can also get an EZ2 instance from Amazon Web Services, then install and run the application in parallel on your Mac.

    Hi, I didn't understand the step at 3:20 min. Could you please tell me what have you changed in the path ?

    • @ITVidz
      @ITVidz  4 года назад

      Hi Sarah, at 3:20 min, I adjusted my base folder path to match that of the VM, normally, you don't have to do this if your VM and your base folder reside in the same location.

    • @sarahnaitatmane755
      @sarahnaitatmane755 4 года назад

      Earnest IT I still do not understand why it doesn’t work... I have the same error message than you. I changed the path by putting the one where is the VirtualBox VMs but it still doesn’t work. Can you please tell me if your folder VirtualBox VMs is in your Download folder and if there are any documents inside it? Thank you for your help!

    • @ITVidz
      @ITVidz  4 года назад

      @@sarahnaitatmane755 The path for the downloads folder look something like this /users/username/downloads.
      The path for your VM probably would be
      /users/username/VirtualBox VMs. You could find this path by going to VirtualBox on the menu bar-->prefences, then default machine folder shows you the folder for your VM. Your goal is to change the "username" of your VM to be the same as that of the path in your downloads folder "username". After you do this, you should be able to import the appliance to create your SAS engine
