The problem with ranking is difference of understanding what future meant. I assumed 3 years. If a player wasn’t signed for 3 or more or expected to be, I excluded. If I were to do it now, I would have included Trey, Stone and Rankins.
I appreciate your passion James but it’s nothing to be upset about…. It’s just ppls opinion…. FWIW burrow, chase, Hendrickson, Murphy, mims, brown, that’s my players crucial to success
When I made my list, I didn't realize that I was supposed to rank them in order. I basically listed them in the order the positions are listed in Madden. I would have put them in a completely different order.
The best player and the most important player are different things. Chase is clearly the 2nd best player on the team but WRs are overvalued to me. Elite QBs like Burrow shouldn’t need elite WRs to win. Not having Chase in the top 5 is nuts, but I don’t think having him 2 is a lock. If you are projecting Mims to be an elite OT that is more valuable than Chase. Now that’s a big if but that is the fun of this exercise. Same with Murphy, an elite pass rusher is more valuable then a WR. Although I am not high on Murphy myself.
I would include Chase Brown in top 15. A dynamic back field is so sweet to have. Remember Semaje Perine? 3 red zone TDS against Steelers? Over 150 purpose yards against Chiefs? The 40 yard screen TD in AFC champ game in 2021? The red zone TD in the AFC champ game in 2022? Ahhh, that was sweet. Chase Brown. Let’s go. Yes RB matters
I liked you guys rankings alot more than the fans....but the fact that used the fans input at all means alot to us die hard Bengal nuts. Best episode of the year!
I for one completely forgot to add Orlando Brown Jr. Though admittedly he wouldn't be as high for me as he is for others he does have alot of ineffectiveness far too often. I would have put him 13th which would have pushed Jordan Battle off my top 15, Pratt & Dax down respectively to 14th & 15th. But also after hearing Jake's approach on this I realize there's another angle in which the list probably changes after I find the balance between the 2 approaches.
Aw man, you put your spreadsheet guy on blast if that's not his primary job. The first rule of being good with spreadsheets is not letting anybody know 😂
This must have been an X assignment, I didn’t know my opinion was needed for most important future Bengals. I would have had Chase high on my list.

Crazy to think someone wouldn't put chase in top 5. Can't be more obvious
The WR contracts have become absolutely absurd.
Chase, I agree
Mixon good too, C'mon
@@Robthomas405yeah Mixon ain't on the team no more😂...
Future to me means 4 or 5 years down the road you should said immediate future for this year and next year.

I’d love to sign Higgins for around 22 mil but I don’t think it’s possible

Yeah, dude needs to take it down a few notches 😂 Especially considering most people seem to be viewing this as a 3-5 year thing, not 2 years
James looks like he takes it as a personal assault 🤣
I wish you would do this with more criteria on “future”, results would be significantly different.

Love bell but battle is the bengals best safety
I need that shirt, James
James, Battle and Stone don't play the same position!
Orlando Brown isnt Jonah williams... stop it...
Orlando Brown Jr should be 2 or 3. Hez the second most important guy on the team

Tired of James acting like a know it all, and snotty. Big fan of the content just not him lol
You guys should redo this again at the end of the year and then compare.
Battle was a rookie lol? Has more than one year left on his contract
Future is not this year
