Even better. Someone I know, an acquaintance really, got a beat up Jan Sport backpack from Goodwill and fitted the interior with a holster for a PSA JAKL .300 BLK pistol. It's also got places for extra mags and other stuff. It all fits perfectly, all zipped up.
My hunting backpack is actually just my high school backpack from 2010. Its got mesh pouches on the side pockets, another little pocket. A laptop separation in the main section Several other pockets (keeps stuff very organized) and even a little student id flap that i keep my hunting license in. It also has skateboard straps that ive put through the belt loop on my knife sheath, and hook into my bino case, and i also hook my shooting sticks behind them. The pencil pocket i use to keep a whole box of rifle ammo or my shell wallet of 3.5 inch turkey loads 1 pocket holds a couple small knifes/tools, and choke tube wrench. Keep a zip lock of nitrile gloves, and a roll of tp in another. It also holds my turkey calls, folding blind, and some water bottles/water bladder, and snacks/lunch.

I use a carhart bag that I love. My holster fits in the front pouch all by happenstance. It’s nice to see I neatly/normal looking bag. Mine just looks like I’m ready to install that new fan you ordered and your dimmer switches 😂😂
I’ve got a vertex bag that achieves a similar goal. I use it for work most of the time but have a full size Roland special and 3 extra mags in it since none of my rifles are small enough (rifle lives in my jeep though)
Honestly, any nearly any backpack with a computer pouch, is good for backpack carrying. I use my old school backpack when I go riding and I just use my regular holster and clip it in the pocket. Holds it fine. I just don’t like appendix carrying when I’m moving around a lot on the quad

at 180 bucks, a normal ass kswiss hiker pack i picked up for 20 bucks at a discount store, sew a soft plate into the back, sew a 1-1/2 inch canvas (or leather) strap inside....clip your NORMAL ASS BELT HOLSTER to that, tada! bonus points the thing has a place for a camel bak bladder and some water bottle holters on the outside.

I hate REI. I went into that place for the first time a few months ago and I was so uncomfortable. It was giving off some real liberal vibes. They didn’t sell any guns, any ammunition any fishing poles, any fishing lures, or any knives which is what I look for when I go into an outdoors store. They also had an “all genders” bathroom which after seeing that I just straight up left without buying anything.
If im at the point where shit has gone sideways that rifle is out and camo doesnt matter. Im getting away. A packed up rifle is useless when its needed.
