A word about safety in Lalibela. We visited the city at the end of October 2023. At that time, there was ongoing tensions in the Amhara region, and travel warning by foreign governments were in place. We got in touch with a couple of locals very aware of the current situation and got reassured to the point where we felt comfortable flying in for a couple of days. On the ground there, we felt quite at ease and weren't particularly stressed. But us having had a smooth trip doesn't mean that it's necessarily the same for you, so please make sure to keep updated with the most recent information if you're planning a visit. We can provide you with some local contacts if you need, hit us up on Instagram @lisaandpol
Been there just before Covid - was great - make sure to visit the lovely restaurant owned by the Scottish women (so I was told, but I never met her). I had a lovely shepherds pie).
yo guys there is a tiny piece of advice for u, let me tell u something that it is the true and the only religion in the whole world and while u go there keep in ur mind that to pray for ur family or ur wishes and to ur sins too, coz u gonna realize that its real aftr ur death
For foreigners, since last summer it's really 100USD per person, for a 5-day access ! Super expensive, and in fact many of the local guided are complaining because it's makes it harder to sell their services on top of the entrance fee ...
You're probably referring to the thumbnail (which is a photo montage), as we believe we were properly dressed when visiting the churches in Lalibela (in the video). You are right though that it's not the best choice of picture, we will think about updating it.
@@THESURAFELB it`s not about being children or not. i said, "why would she wear that kind of cloth in the church?" she should cover her body and her hair. if not stay as far as possible!
he referred to you about being children from the bible to teach you a lesson. he is right. you on the other hand you are very quick to say they are wrong, but you can't be polite.

you are disrespectful. why are you standing infront of lalibela church wearing that mini shirt. very disrespectful
They are children in the eyes of God. We all are in the same page eventhough what you said is correct.
