Regards from Brazil!
I dint have any idea, but now i do tks eric! Im running the 7000 hydros from skyjacker and i having body roll on my coiled yj i will look into this for a good mono shock for more stability! Good video!!
if i wanted a smoother ride, would i change the coils or shocks?
I have a Better understanding now tks guy!
I just ordered a 2door Rubicon 2020. Do I need to upgrade my shocks? If so, any recommendations for brand ,type? This is my first Jeep ever. I'll be doing 80% daily driving. Advice please.
Hi Alexander
Run the stock shocks for now, learn how to drive the Jeep. Get it offroad and learn how she handles there as well. When / if you decide to lift it, replace your shocks with the new springs etc then.
Thoughts on gabriel ultra shocks and struts? Supposed to be a high quality twin tube and for my xterra the price doubles for the "better brands".
Thank you, Shock Jock.
Great info..
Thanks dude..
Thank you!
Thanks twin tubes for me
What is a solid Mono tube brand shock for 6in 06 tj wrangler running 37s? Thanks for any help
I have a 3in lift. Is it ok to use 4in lift shocks?
Well , i just got death wobble last tuesday, and it was one busted shock...it was pretty scary T_T
Hi Fargaz
That must have been scary! I remember the first time I experienced deathwobble, and I thought I was going to have to change pants! That being said, we can get you into a new set of shocks, so give us a call and we'll be happy to help!
For bad city streets filled with damaged pot holes mono tube for me
Kinda how I feel about island roads filled with all makes, sizes, and depth pot holes.
Sounds like where I live ..nyc ..infamous for pot holes ..looking to change my stock shocks for something else .
Ok great video but what if I plan to go off road whenever...whenever...whenever. Am I sacrificing something if I go with the monotube?
Hi Lecturer73. Choosing a monotube shock will not have a negative outcome, unless you do not want the performance and stability feeling on the road. When you do go off road a monotube designed shock is what we agree you should use. Upon harsher hits and bigger trails the shock will control the vehicle better and absorb those impacts that accrue easier.
It all depends on how you drive and how your rig is set up; if you are racing through the high desert, then yes, you're going to want to look at either a mono or a remote reservoir. If you're wheeling light to moderate trails slowly, then a standard twin would be fine. Keep in mind that the harder you wheel, the faster you're going to run through a shock meant for mostly daily driving duties!
“Inshide shur shock”
Get to the freakin point!
Don't watch then ass
Bit disrespectful are we?
