Thanks, I’ve been looking for some good details of the 505th on Market Garden for my history report about the 505/82 from its combat debut to entering Berlin as the Allied occupation force. So far I’m only on Holland/Market Garden but there are already 31 pages and some 7.7k words. My great grandfather was a paratrooper in WWII. He was with the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment in North Africa and later the 456th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment assigned to the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment in the 82nd Airborne in Sicily. He was then sent back to England to prepare for Operation Overlord when he was transferred to the 101st Airborne and jumped into Normandy, and later into Holland. He also participated in the Battle of the Bulge and Western Germany. He had made either 4 or 5 combat jumps during the war. By the time he was honorably discharged, he was a technician 4th grade. In one of your clips of C47’s I noticed “Whiskey 7” W7, which is now based at the National Warplane museum at Geneseo New York and over the years I’ve seen her many times! Thanks for the video and keeping history alive!
This video shows how screwed up Gavin was in not taking his objective. The recon elements could have easily seen the woods, and very fast, Gavin was concern of was not fit for tanks.

Wow!
Another informative video. Keep these coming.
Thanks for the content showing The Netherlands. Most of what I have seen are France and Germany battle locations.
Plenty more battlefields from the Netherlands on my channel
Always interesting to see how WW2 locations look like today
