I owned this car for a few years and I LOVED it....traded it in for a 2019 Corvette and created a RUclips channel to share my ownership experiences but I am honestly thinking of buying this SUV again! It was that good....Great review
You can also recline the rear seats. Best SUV in it's class, Best overall performance in my opinion. I've had mine for 1.5 years and still love it as much as the day I bought it!!
We Bought 2018 nissan murano sl and I love it..its very comfy, luxurious interior , athletic looking suv sporty style. Very quiet cabin solid feel..the revised xtronic cvt is very smooth and fast to react perfect match with 3.5 v6..its atcually smoother than automatic transmission..we have no drama at all..we owned 2017 nissan maxima aswell and theres no problem at all the new xtronic cvt is solid, silky smooth and strong..the best reliable suv..👍👍👍
You sound better in this video like you have a new mic. Nissan needs to seriously upgrade the key fob. Its years old. I like where the blind spot indicators are placed. Mine are on the side mirrors like most are currently. Keep up the good work. I'm excited to see what you have planned for the 100th rental.
The missus and I have rented the Murano thrice this year. Enterprise/Alamo favors Nissans, and has the Murano (SFAR/Std SUV class) at many airport locations. Great car - drives very well both city and hwy, is very comfortable and refined. And yes, it's a CVT - but mated with the 6cyl, acceleration is good for both city getup/go & highway passing. This is now one of our favorite rentals. As the OP said, this is a great rental to have, especially in the trim reviewed here!!
Fantastic choice! I've waited 99 cars for you to get one. That button to the left is the heated steering wheel, not seats. Also in the back seat you can recline the seat backs. They must have been in their upright position. Aw, you found it later in the video...LOL. My platinum has power seat returns for the back seat. But the SL has a lot of nice features.
100 rental cars almost 1 more to 100 you are my absolute favorite RUclipsr i am so glad I subscribed to you and you influenced me to start reviewing my rental cars i do rent alot of cars because i travel alot because of my work and my gf does modeling so we travel together. Next week i will rent a mustang fastback next week and i will post a video about it. I earn tons of points with enterprise.
One benefit that I've noticed is the gas mileage. The manufacturer's rating is 28 mpg highway, but the onboard computer has been reporting as high as 34.7 mpg! Impressive!
You are correct, sir. On road trips I have gotten over 34 several times. A good average around the West Virginia hills is 32.5. Very impressive as the 2nd generation I had was only good for about 23 mpg with the same engine. The technology has definitely improved.
@@Therealpeter10 my older 2011 murano had a transmission problem where it shifts between 2 gears I abused it a lot but both gears grab strong but when it shifts it loses power so a part of transmission broke but if I go slow until 30mph transmission is OK, at highway 55 mph wot never any slip only slow speed slip between shifts so it partially failed. I got a newer murano with 28k miles and did a transmission fluid change and transmission feels better, buy ones with transmission fluid change service records that's a better bet but transmissions are super weak and 4k to fix and will break eventually
@@Therealpeter10 u get better gas mileage due to transmission being 2k rpms at 80mph the catch is the transmission is a ticking time Bomb I gambled on the 2011 lasted 3 years and transmission slipped at slow speeds when changing gears drove for over 6 months with a slipping transmission, on highway never any slip seen redline probably 1000 times the engine is bulletproof
I totally agree that electronic parking brakes don't feel right. I much prefer the foot parking brake. I do feel they need to move start/stop button back to the driver side console. Too easy to press by mistake in center console. Some of us have children with special needs who ride in the front and electronic e brakes and start stop in center console will make a vehicle impractical for us.
Interesting video, but why in the us does a sub which costs 42k does not come with a rear parcel shelf/load cover. Is theft from a parked vehicle unknown in the us.
Not many reviewers enjoyed murano’s soft handling woh a multi link suspension and 20” wheels I would suspect the handling is well suited for curvy roads.wapcially with Nissan’s IAWD
Car 99! Can’t wait to see your 100th rental car review and what happens next! Also, the Nissan Murano is really nice. I reviewed a Platinum and I was beyond impressed. The interior is nice, but Nissan needs to desperately upgrade the touchscreen displays. They are, in my opinion, a bit too small and dim for today’s standards.
I have watched this car evolve or the many years I have seen it on the road it is a cool car but I think I would really get overwhelmed with all the technology in it I like cars with some technical stuff in them but there is a limit to how much technology I will really use and good review your site is one of my favorites👍🏻
Yeah, I have been checking out the Murano for many years, and finally jumped in with the 2018 Nissan Murano SV. I think that the SV might be better for you. It is a good middle ground, and includes V6, AWD, NAV/Infotainment features, but don't worry about the tech. It's easy enough, and if you need help, just ask.
💚 Nissan owned two one was a 2007 Altima will agree on CVT they were not good around that time currently driving a 2015 Rogue had for almost three years in Oct. Still running on original CVT although I didn't plan on buying one so far reliable has 15,000 miles still has that new smell after all these years. It rides solid but wish had more couple features like Murano as: remote start, V6 and better infotainment as APPLE CARPLAY so has all the goodies but it's a 2015 got the older version I absolutely love it.

Glad you like it! And thanks for the tip about the backseats.
Do you still love your Murano?
1 year later, still waiting…
Really Like the MURANO

12:56 never seen a spare tire subwoofer before. Pretty cool. And thanks for the MPG shot.
1 more car to go!!! Nice review as always 👍 This Nissan doesn’t feel as outdated as the other ones. I like this one👍
I agree! It's one of the few Nissan vehicles that doesn't feel straight out of 2010 (besides the infotainment)
Very very rare rental. Great find!

Thanks for this post. I was wondering why this vehicle didn't have heated steering wheel.

I loved my 2017 Murano when I had it.
How was it ? Are they reliable?

@@HALWG51 Indeed, performance has improved greatly.
34. I’m getting 32.4 on a turbo Juke Awd with a 10 gallon tank. Ok Murano back onto the review list for a future car you go
@@HALWG51 Morgantown?
In flat Indiana we get 36-37mpg at 65
I love my 2018 Murano SV. I give it 5 stars, too!
Has it been reliable ???
So far, yes, but the only issue is that I had to do some brake work rather early. It's perfect again.
how many miles ??? No tranny problems ? People brag about cvt

I like the intelligent cruise control. You steer and the car does the rest.
Agreed, it's a HUGE upgrade and it's pretty fun if you also have Lane Departure Assistance. Combined it's like a poor man's autopilot. 👍
Best reviewer on RUclips
High praise! I'm not sure I agree with you, but I REALLY appreciate your support. Thank you!
I haven't had a chance to drive a Murano, but would definitely like to. Are you planning on renting something extra special for rental # 100???
Nice review! 👍 Made me feel like to buy one!
31 avg mpg? Wow, you're outdoing the EPA estimates pretty well.
You failed to mention anything about Apple CarPlay, :(
Interesting video, but why in the us does a sub which costs 42k does not come with a rear parcel shelf/load cover. Is theft from a parked vehicle unknown in the us.
Great point.
You would be surprised how many don't have that. Some brands offer a window shade style cover as a dealer-installed option.

Right, the Murano feels so nice and smooth, and the Rogue feels wacky

Was one of the last clips in the parking lot filmed on Ogden in Naperville?
Okay I'm buying one now 😄
Does the passenger seat have a 6 way power seat or 4 way?
Almost there!!!!!
Nice review!

Is there an AWD button? Can you turn it off or on or does it always stay on?
Is the Murano always in AWD, or do you have to engage an AWD lock switch/button?
Button
How do you lock it into 4wd
You should rent a super car for your 100th
U went from 99 to 101
You never actually showed us a test drive.

I think 41K is alittle expensive for this car.Nothing is eye poping about it.
It is just MSRP. Right now you can get a well equipped SV for $30k
do u like in ohio
The old body style was better
2009-2014 Murano?
Nissans Cvt,s are known Not to last past 5 years,,,,
And cost a lot to fix,,,as compared to say a Subaru,,,
I hear Nissan and Subaru have bad CVTs. If you want a Subaru go with a manuel.
Toyota has the best CVTs
Yea, lucky hes under warranty still. I would ditch that thing on the last year of warranty
My nissan altima CVT is still running well after 9 years.

That’s bullshit I have a 11 years old car. Nissan Altima 2007 automatic and it runs good.
