- Pruning and propagating Chrysanthemums in a pot. Chrysanthemums make excellent pot and indoor plants. Prune their tips to encourage bushier growth and more blooms. When they done flowering cut them all the way down. Mums can be start from cuttings. Take fresh stems, remove the lower leaves, and plant them in the soil. Grow flowers grow!!

The whole plant may die please don't do like this if u want to propagate bend the branch to ground n put some weight r soil.after few days it becomes individual plant then u separate it n pot it

sunita khanna Hi, I cut all the old flowers to encourage new one. I saw many others do that. I tried to do the same thing but my plant did not get enough sunlight it was raining season it didn't produce as many as the first time I got it. Anyways, thanks for wathing :)

When I purchased the plant from nursery there were flowers bt after that I didn't see any flowers.... from one year I didn't get flower. Wt to do.....
