  • Riding San Diego MTS Bus Route 992 from San Diego International Airport (SAN) Terminal 1 to Downtown San Diego. The ride between those two destinations is around 15 minutes and the full fare to ride the bus is $2.50. In addition, the bus arrives every 15-20 minutes. Route 992 stops at all terminals in SAN Airport.

    MTS Bus accepts cash (exact change only) and PRONTO Fare Card or PRONTO App. PRONTO Fare Card can be purchased near the airport information desk (by the baggage claim). The full fare is $2.50.

    Heard after airport exapnsion they are gonna build a trolley line to the airport.

    What's up, man! I remembered that Tri-Rail uses this Gillig Low Floor buses for shuttle bus service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. By the way, are you planning to ride the Old Town Trolley, while you are in San Diego? Keep up the great work!

    Such a wonderful light rail (SD Trolley) system SD has and it's a shame one still has to take the bus from the airport to connect to it. One of these days....

      @@williamlewis7171There are so many projects going on with the MTS light-rail where buses will have lesser runs. I can’t wait for the trolley extension after UTC.
