Yeah if you are a tourist looking to shoot heroin on the street and take a shit on the sidewalk in public.
Love his slow lethargic and sarcastic tone of narrative 🌝♥️✨

You’re doing a great job. Thank you for all the helpful videos 💯🤝
I was at Haight and Ashbury in the 70s. Got kicked out of a head shop for being too high, lol 😂 Had too much fun in the Golden Gate Park.
Thanks for sharing
I was just there for 4 days and didn't experience any problems...did the majority of the things mentioned. Not sure if it's that things have gotten better or just good luck but either way, we didn't have any issues of any kind thankfully.
Issues dont happen if u dont go into the wrong neighborhoods! Its always been like that here, dont listen to the haters online and thank you for visiting.
The haters showing videos of market street with all the stores boarded up💩💩💩
The "haters" are showing what Market Street is like now. I worked in SF for 20 years and was there about a month ago. Market Street is almost all CLOSED.
@@robrenwick4591 So shocked to see that. I remember going there 2018, it was full of life and I always felt safe. I am from Switzerland and I used to do all the things in S.F that I also did at home, walking alone at night to the station, as well as walking also through the not so nice parts. I avoid it completely now :/ I am crying inside, it was my FAVORITE city in the U.S!!!
Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video today’s from San Francisco in August of 2023❤❤❤
thank you for staying positive...im going to try some of your suggestions when I visit SF....
Lovely video! Thank you😉
Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory Cherry Sunday is the BEST! This is making me homesick for SF ❤🩹 there's so much to do there, in and all around Northern California. It's changed a lot since Hippie 60's. Fleet Week Oct 2-10 2023 is a great time to be at Chrissy Field, Coit Tower, Treasure Island or on a sailboat in the Bay.
Ghirardelli chocolate is made in San Leandro. The one-time factory in Ghirardelli Square hasn't been used for that purpose for a great many years.
This was a terrific video explaining so much on San Francisco tourism. There are people on Reddit asking a few times a week where to go and see here in SF and I’ll happily be copying and pasting this link for them to watch it themselves .
Another nice video Islandhopper. San Francisco certainly has some great spots.
Thank you
@@IslandHopperTV you're welcome.
Was there in 1995,great city,loved it I’m from Europe👍🇪🇸👏🇺🇸🇩🇪
I used to live in SF, and this was a fun video to watch. Great footage. I'd just like to mention that BART basically takes you to other cities in the Bay Area (Oakland, Daly City, etc.). It's pretty efficient. The metro system within SF is MUNI (subway and buses). It's a good way to get around. 🙂
Yeah it’s a good way to get around if you don’t mind stepping in human shit 💩 and heroin needles
I wouldn't go to Oakland... no, no, no❗️
Hi I'm ten yrs old I went here and I loved the prison and it's really a cool place to visit my mum and dad loved it here too there was a war ship museum and it's awesome so big with planes and choppas inside it
Food restaurants. I love those.
Great Job my friend thank you for sharing I love San Francisco 👏👏❤❤❤
i love san francisco tnx men n im here in the phillippines
Educate yourself about San Francisco now, it’s not what it once was
Great video!.. I visited San Francisco 5 years ago with a friend and now coming back in October with my girlfriend. Perfect video to give her an insight before we visit 👍🏻
Hi Island Hopper thanks for the video it’s great with many interesting places to visit. However you are showing NYC subway stations ((Grand Central 42 East side & Union Square 14 Street). I live in NYC 😊
Hey, shhhhh! He tried 😁😁😁 At least he picked some stock footage that looked sort of closer to how BART looks 😁
Greetings from Germany, thank you, now I'm sitting here in NRW Bochum Germany and I'm bored to death. 🤦🏼♂️😂😅
Great video, I'm really excited about a trip to the USA now. 👏👏👏😀
SF is a great place to visit. Napa is very cool too.
The Academy of Science every Thursday night host Nightlife which is their “adult” nights were its 21 and up with cocktails served throughout the museum. Fun little date spot for anyone who’s visiting without kids. Depending on the week they’ll have themes nights like Star Wars, Shark Week, etc.
Beautiful ❤️
I visited San Francisco a few months ago with my family, and our rental car was broken into 3 times during the 7 days we were there. It's so bad that the hotel manager told us to leave the hatchback up to avoid further damage. We didn't feel safe and witnessed numerous drug deals and saw untold human misery living on the sidewalks. You have been warned.
Agreed. SF has become a cesspool in many areas.
Yeah.. I was questioning the video like when was it taking ? @@normandea
😢😢 not like the video here at all ?
Good for you
I'm an SF Native. It was foolish of you to rent a car. Lyft and Uber are the way to move about The City. No break-ins. No parking hassles. No driving in aggravating traffic. We snicker at people who rent cars for an SF vacation. Renting a car in SF is so gauche, so clueless-suburban, so deer-in-the-headlamps type thinking.
I moved here 2 years ago from texas. I love this city so much. I live with my gf and we havent even visited half of these places. I use BART everyday to ge to work because i dont own a car. Maybe to have fun on a friday ill use it. I might use Muni as well. Doesnt matter as this is one of my favorite cities in the US.
How does the homeless poop 💩 smell on Bart ?
@@DontcallmeaCuck it doesnt smell coz theres litterally none😂😂😂😂
Ignorance is bliss 😀
Great video, thank you! I have watched it two times, one before reading an SF travel book and one after reading the book. I feel as if I have already been there 😀 I will definitely visit SF soon. I only wonder why you didn't mention the City Hall? It is an amazing building. No video about SF shows it and I can't understand why. The area has also many theatres, opera etc. The crime problem in the neighborhood can't be the reason, or is it? Thanks again! 👏👏
Great overview
It's the new Olympics in San Francisco 2024!🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
I have been to San Francisco many times. I just love it. Such a beautiful city. I have been to a Giants game also Alcatraz many times. Just love China Town. Had lunch at Mel's Diner many times. I don't care what anyone thinks as far as I'm concerned I just love going to San Francisco. Been to Academy of Science many times and I want to go back. They have a dinosaur 🦕 exhibit I want to see. Just love San Francisco. 😊😊 😊❤❤
We are going to SF again on 13 March 2024 for one week for job related meetings and workshops.
I have been here few times by either Greyhound buses, private cars and private tours from Oxnard, CA, Ventura County, our beautiful place. We all enjoyed our visits in San Francisco. Cold air. Beautiful walk everywhere. Took some tours around. Yes, we went to Chocolate Factory, Ghirardelli’s Store. Passed out some candies around to my co-workers.

We had such a good time in SF. My son bought two days passes to ride the Hop on/off Big Bus Tour. The first day, we rode around and we got off at Golden Gate Park just to have a sausage sandwich that my daughter and I shared for $10.00 for one sandwich. Then to Fisherman’s Wharf to eat and bought candies at Ghirardelli’s. From Fisherman’s we stopped at Chinatown, then back to our Hilton Honors SF Union Square. The second day, we decided to hop off around the City Hall, there was a St Patrick’s Parade. Followed by The Painted Ladies Park. It wasn’t so much excitement because the colors of the homes started to fade away over period of time. Not so much colorful. Stopped at Golden Gate to use the Restroom then back to Fisherman’s W., no more stopping until we made it to Hilton.
We rode the cable car. It was a wonderful time away from home while my son was in his job training class from all California Public Schools professionals met at Hilton Honors SF Union Square - Speech Language Pathologist.
I met a young man in the elevator, we were all going to see the view of SF from the bar section of Hilton. He said, I am here to explore while my wife is taking her training. We all responded, we were here too for the same reason. We all laughed.
The smell from the air was bad, the streets, sidewalks and other parts were filthy and nasty; smelled bad from xxxxxxxx.
I thought to share our experience. The Golden Gate Park was remodeled from not having a park to better one. I don’t know how to explain better.

Cold air as always. Always carry a light jacket because of the cold air, even it was a sunny day. I carried my furry coat I bought at Costco during the Christmas holiday. Not too heavy. Very warm and has hood as well. My daughter and I were matched.
In May 2024, we are going to Solvang, another trip. We went two different times in 2023. I finally got to see the other side of the mountains instead of the 101 South Freeway, Pacific Coast going home. Beautiful Casitas or Chumash road back to Oxnard. 💜💜💜💜💜💜

I love Sanfrancisco very much. excellent weather. beautiful Golden gate Bridge , pacific ocean and park. I really miss SF. Hope to visit again in my life.
Just don’t go until the city gets new leadership & goes back to enforcing laws. I live south of San Francisco, and trust me, it’s not a place you want to visit anytime soon. It’s rampant with crime, open air drug use, robberies, and even attacks on tourists. There’s been shootings in broad daylight, even in previously safe areas. The mainstream media aren’t even reporting on much of what’s going in an attempt to protect San Francisco’s reputation.
You wouldn't like what it's become.
@@robrenwick4591 what?

Love San Fransisco! This might be odd, but I had the best steak ever in San Francisco. Something that I'll always remember. Loved the video by the way! 👋❤️

Beautiful SF 😊
Good sharing

Beutiful site seens
So beautiful city 🌆
Not anymore , crime is very high , and dirty , stores are closing by the thousands
Nice video of SF! No wonder its is the #1 tourist destination in the U.S.😊 Tourist will love shopping at Union Square!😁
Ain't it meant to be a hell hole? All this doesn't add up!
@@galaxysega3883 Yeah, the right wing media tried to drum up some propaganda. They hate liberal cities and SF is about as liberal as they get. They seem to have failed in that negative PR push though. Tourism in SF is at about 80% of pre-pandemic and is projected to surpass 2019 next year.
I don't know what they were hoping for. People aren't just going to believe that the top tourist destination in the country became Detroit overnight. They'll go and check for themselves.
Don't look like a tourist and you won't experience anything bad. @@galaxysega3883
It is no longer, and most of the stores in Union Square and along Market Street are now closed and boarded up.
You live in a fantasy world
Hi, new subscriber here , is one full day enough to visit all the main spots mentioned? (Al least Alcatraz include). Btw excellent summary and explanation. Thanks !
Despite the bad going on EVERYWHERE, I’d still like to visit SFO. I always use public transportation so it’s good to know there are reliable systems available.
Thanks for sharing! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
🇺🇸Hi lovely guys from San Francisco? I hope you are doing good in this most beatiful city I've never seen in my whole life. I used to live there years ago. I miss USA a lot.🤗🇺🇸😭😭❤
I’m from San Jose but hello to you.
Thank you for this video..
This is how I like to remember SF..
Because there is too much devastation to this beloved city..😢
What breaks my heart is the increase in robberies, and yet nothing is being done about it. There are too many car break-ins (knock on wood hasn't happened to me.) not to mention the drugs, yes every location got something like that, but again nothing is being helped or done about it.
The shops on Union Square and on Market Street are totally gone. We don't have an Old Navy, Forever 21 closed, Ross is gone too, and many other big stores. & soon I heard Macy's is next. On top of all that mom and pop shops had to close down, as well as cafes: we lost our original Phill's coffee location due to expensive rent. I mean, at least Seattle got to keep their original location of Starbucks.
And the good restaurants closed down. BOY! Don't get me started on that..
I just pray that 'the Grim Reaper of high rent expense' doesn't touch Tommy's Joint. leave Tommy's joint alone and be at peace to cook their delicious food.
The homeless just keeps getting worse (it's not getting any better.)
People who lived there for years, for their whole lives are being kicked out of their homes, due to the rent being so high to the point where it costs an arm, a leg, or their own soul.. And the people who move in are rich young people who walk their dogs and don't pick up their dog poop. Which is why,
I only wear 4 pairs of work shoes, put them in a box because of the amount of dog and human poop everywhere and no one cleans it.
San Francisco is slowly turning into Gotham City and something needs to be done, because the officials in San Francisco are doing something wrong.. 💔 💔 As if high officials in the San Francisco office just don't care.
That is my rant.
Again, thank you for this video for it gives me small hope
I can't wait to visit SF. I know that the media gives it a bad rap but I heard the same things about NYC and Chicago and I adored both cities. I'm hoping to visit the West coast and see San Francisco, Portland and Seattle in one go.
Did you like it?
There are places in the video that I have visited before and know very well. Dude, I've never even been to the USA in my life. Thank you CJ and other 3 guys :’)
I wished it featured the Japanese garden in the Golden Gate Park. It is considered the most beautiful Japanese garden in North America.
San Francisco is such a vibrant city with endless things to do! Can't wait to check out all these attractions next time I visit!
San Francisco going to mountains and down to the oceans to finding fish restaurants to food supplies
Frisco is an American slang for San Francisco, but most people in the city don't even use it anymore. i still do. it's short and quick to say "San Francisco".
Watch dogs 2 make me love San Francisco
Going in Feb, this was a great video clear and amazing commentary thanks my man
I visited my daughter in Alameda and got a chance to get over to San Francisco in 2019 and I’m from Cleveland Ohio,,and I could sense the rich history, and I loved the diversity, the landscape, weather, etc ,,,just about everything, except how expensive it is for a home/apartment,but what was really shocking to me was the homeless situation, and the filth/smell,,I never saw anything like that in person in my life, and I’m from the east side, the not so good part of town, and that made downtown Cleveland look pristine
I visited SF last week and I must say I enjoyed it a lot... I wish I had extra coupla days because there are a lot of beautiful places to visit. Hope to come back again 😊
How many days you think is good to spend is SF?

Well, you won't feel chilly on Pier 39 if you just dress for the weather like your supposed to do.
San Franciscos China Town also happens to be the Largest China Town outside of China.
A few popular pastimes here in SF are avoiding poop on the sidewalk, telling homeless people that you don't have any change, riding bikes and other toys in the middle of the street to create unnecessary traffic, and avoiding eye contact with everyone around you.

San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the country. All the other cities are just average or worse.
I just love how the trolls keep trying and failing to convince everybody that San Francisco has somehow turned into El Paso overnight 😁😁😁
Thank you for sharing this video!!! People always going make nasty negative comments! Because they don’t like themselves lol Haters gonna hate!!!
Nah SF is trash. That's just a fact. No need to hate because I don't live there. If anything it's funny and sad to watch and yet we'll deserved since most voters there are idiots. But don't let the comments get to you. Enjoy your wonderful, safe city and stay positive.
If people are making negative comments it's because they know the state of this city now. It is not safe.

Best things to do in SF: Don’t get robbed, don’t get attacked, avoid drug dealers
Come on, bud. You can see in the video that your propaganda is just nonsense. Seriously, do you just believe everything you see on TV?
You people are soooooo gullible.
I’m from San Jose, but hello to girls in SF.
My husband and I are planning to visit S.F. in early October. Guess we'll see for ourselves whether some of the more negative comments here are true. I think most urban area have "shadier" areas that don't necessarily reflect the whole city. Los Angeles, for instance, where we live, definitely has beautiful spots and areas of homelessness. In any case, we'll be taking normal precautions, like leaving our car in the hotel parking structure and Uber-ing it, or walking, everywhere. BTW, I was surprised that North Beath wasn't mentioned in this video, along with City Lights Bookstore, which is iconic. And then there is Caffe Trieste coffeehouse, in the same area.
My husband and I will be visiting in November. Sadly for surgery and medical stuff. But we plan to sight see a little before hand. I'm hoping to travel safely. I heard the homeless issue is horrible, this was from our Dr directly to us but he said it was a beautiful place to visit but to be careful.
They are true.
It's basically propaganda. The Conservatives think that they can convince people not to come to San Francisco. So far they have utterly failed. Tourism is basically back to normal.
Stay away from the Tenderloin and you'll have a great time!

Literally walked around there four days ago. This is exactly how it looks. FYI, they didn't used to pressure wash the streets every day "years ago" so SF is actually much much cleaner than it used to be.
It’s true. SF cleaner now than it has been in years.
You left out #31 Dodging the homeless as you walk the sidewalks & #32 Avoiding stepping in the human poop while walking around.
And #33 not seeing any republican hicks in monster trucks spreading misinformation online to make them feel better about being too poor and ignorant to leave their red welfare state's trailer parks and move to the bay Area
Oh no! A city where people live! Sometimes they don't have actual homes because in case you forget, people can barely afford food for themselves! But keep talking about them like they're lesser than you, you're such a great person 👍🏻
Somebody lying.
Either it’s you or the BBC.
“Come for the sourdough stay for the fenty”
Definitely the BBC. They haven't mentioned the truth even in passing since 1976.
All your stock footage of the BART is actually the NYC subway
Don't forget, it's also fun to play sidewalk poo hopscotch (the locals call it poopscotch or crapscotch, depending on what side of the city you are on, I think the NE side calls it crapscotch). Just don't wear shoes you like all that much! What good times we'll all have.
You just need to stay away from the bad area. It's the same way in Oakland.
What parts of Oakland are bad? We are going to a baseball game
@@missysjas That part, lol. I mean, just don' try to walk east. There's nothing there but industrial buildings and homeless people. The area around the ballpark is safe but boring. The actual cool part of Oakland is Uptown. Tons of concert venues, bars, Michelin Guide restaurants. It's kind of all in that Downtown-Uptown area. Then there's the bougie neighborhoods like Jack London Square, Piedmont Ave, and the Grand Lake area. They're like really cute oldschool American Main Streets with cute boutiques and restaurants. Especially Piedmont Av!
