Hands down the BEST experience of my life Jared is a true professional and always makes sure you are made to feel like family. 2 visits thus far and I’ll definitely be going back! Thanks Jared
I love this video. When I was in beauty school I met a client that had hair transplants and only some took. He also was left with scars across the back of his head. He doesn’t like clippers so I cut it all scissor over comb and he comes once a week every single week (for the last nine months!) to keep the look up. We’ve managed to make it look much fuller and he’s much more confident but watching the way you used texturizing shears to help blend the greys in was awesome. Can’t wait to try that!! Thank you!!
Great to see a video of a man who i like to call is folically challenged. Shows that a barber takes his time no matter what. Great video with excellent information.
The tight buzz is the perfect answer to this type of hair loss. It's not quite down to the skin, nor is it too long to show contrast. It works on any age as well...
I never thought I would enjoy a video about a man having his hair cut but I did enjoy this one. I've been to a barber only 3 or 4 times since 1959. Maybe it's time I paid another visit. My last one was in 1985.
I went from 8 years of growth and after seeing this video I scheduled appointment at barbershop and had my hair cut same way. I Love My new appearance. And no more long showers fooling with my excessively long hair 🙏🏻😁
Good job doing the back of the customers neck with the razor. That is one thing that I love and always look out for when I go into any barbershop. It bugs me when I have to ask for it. I don't care how good the haircut looks if my neck doesn't feel super smooth at the back I am not happy. It may be a small detail but it is important imo.
Great cut!! I love this video because it shows a 'regular guy' ending up looking like a million bucks!! Gives hope to all of us! Hail to the skills of the barber!
I liked this video so much especially because this man has same hairline as mine and the cut I have been searching for, for past 2-3 years. I had been growing my hair for 8 years (very long) and cut it all off because of your video. Thank you!
A blend or a taper to me is a more natural looking style. I usually ask for a 3 to a 3 and a half on my sides with a light blend to match it up. A fade is more of a style someone goes for where you can see the actual contrast in the hair lengths in my mind. But I'm not a barber so I can not speak professionally.
Connor Kramer Fade and taper are used interchangeably depending on which area of the country you’re in. I don’t think there are hard and fast rules regarding the guard one uses while creating a fade/taper. A bald fade goes from the perimeter hairline upwards, and can be as you said high, mid, or low, but so does a taper. Obviously the amount of hair the wants to save will determine the guard/clip to use. I’m sure someone will describe the fade or taper different. Regardless of whether the cut is called a fade or taper, first get a clear understanding what the client want. After that, just git her done. 😇
A fade is several different lengths blended together so that it "fades" from very short to short. You should be able to tell a contrast or there wouldn't be a need to "fade" it but you shouldnt see the lines. A taper could probably be described as a fade but with longer hair overall, and probably has less transitions (maybe 2-3 different hair lengths where a fade has 4+).
With the stubble like his on top a number 1 buzz all around and good trimmer for edges around ears and hair line. Simple and just the thing. I'm in my late 70s still have my hair but straight unmanageable with out lot of products which I don't want plain and simple
This video really healed me out . I was struggling on these gentlemen’s cut but this one looks good and I can’t wait to try this on my next client 👍🏽⚔️
I wish that you were in South Central Wisconsin. I would like a haircut like this but I just can’t find a decent barber. This past week I was forced to use Great Clips here in town and I had to come home and touch up the results.
If I had a barber like you near my place I wouldn't even be considering to do a transplant. I live in Asia and barbers just fail when dealing with foreign heads.
The eyebrows are HUGE. I never even thought about it until a couple of years ago when a lady at my haircut establishment asked me about it. I was like "Uhm, OK?" and yeah, it made a difference and looked real nice. Thanks for the video! :)
I do cut my own hair with clippers and I have quite a few clippers and trimmers. Yes. When I just want to maintain my hair I would just use the trimmers. Now the question I have is this. I did go to the barber some years and years ago. I have been cutting my own hair for over 17 years. Things have perfected sense then I have clippers of course now. I started out with a beard trimmer over 17 years ago and got that perfect over time as I got the clippers. So the question I have is this. I heard that barbers of yesterday would give a full hair cut and a hot shave does the modern barber even do that today or is that a thing of the past. I never experienced a hot shave at the barber. I wold shave at home. But I wonder what it was like to get that treatment. Does the modern day barber shop even do that today???
Great video! New subscriber. Also the in-between cut is so true! Ppl think a cut lasts 2 months and their hair isn't supposed to already be on their ears, I must have not cut it short enough 🙄🙄🙄. Lol. Great cut, I have ALOT of clients with this hair, and this helps a lot
Just wondering what an in-between neck clean up would cost?, I have a little more hair then this customer but not a whole lot and I know a trip to the barber shop once a month cost me $21 plus a $4 tip, which is quite expensive
From what I can tell: a "blend" would look imperceptible, simply supporting the the rest of the style/cut. Whereas a "fade" is meant to BE the style or a bigger part of the style its going with.
Honestly i love this dude attitude, I can say my Barber like my second wife or girlfriend "NO HOMO", i feel happy around him, we always discuss about sports, life, politics, hobbies, anything 😁
But what do you charge for a cleanup? Full price? Or something commiserate with what you're cutting? The fact is, you can't make a bald haircut look good and having to pay full price for it is why I shaved my head for 20 years and now that I'm sick of that chore and 58 years old, I just said screw it, I'll cut it myself.
Educational. How can a customer have a hairstylists’ license revoked? Is there a governing body to protect customers from abuse and theft by so-called “professionals”?
Where im from in Australia. In my humble opinion. A fade is a word or brand the new age hipsters have given to the old term blend. All the kids think fades are cool and the barbers charge double. Everyone thinks fade is a new thing. Hitler had a fade. Ive never done a haircut without a fade. Who does a one length haircut? So yeah, thats my opinion. I never heard of fade before four or five years, its just good marketing to charge more.
I would say a fade includes at least 4 different hair lengths blended together. If you consider a 0 open and a 0 closed as 2 hair lengths, most fades easily have 6 hair lengths. I would imagine a blend to have 4 or less hair lengths by that definition. When the hair is longer, blending the lengths is less important. The shorter the hair gets, the more discernible the lines become.

You can get the same treatment in India for 0.69$ and the barber won't utter a single word praising his mastery over his work. The places which offer this kind of blings are the ones that charge you probably 10's and 100's of dollars for doing nothing. And as far as I can see, he did nothing but just trimmed off the excess hair and made it look smooth, which most of the barbers can do as long as you pay them enough, which in India is not even 1$, what's the point of making a video in which you did nothing praiseworthy and then calling it "The Haircut To Get When You Don’t Want to Shave Your Head". He is balding, if you are not going to shave his head, this is the only other remaining option. Another video, I saw recently, the barber was making a fuss about like, "Look how beautiful I made him look", Bruh, He came to you for getting himself looking good again, he is offering you money for that, that's your job. Do it nicely, that is what you are charging so much for, what's the big deal. Seriously I don't understand the point of Salons these days and more specifically this kind of channel these days.
