      Yeah, people say "shave it and own it", but to me shaving hair constanly just seems like one way of hiding it. Plus it takes effort having to shave it all the time.

    • @pantelis5665
      @pantelis5665 Год назад

      @@qwerty6383 exactly either way is going to get pricey but I know most people are lazy so they just say shave it all off (buzz cut).My best advice is to fight for what you have (either minoxidil,derma-rolling,finasteride topical or oral and lastly the costly transplant) and if you cant fight it then just shave it.I hate it when people make fun of me for using minoxidil every month,it is even embarassing asking it to the employee in the drug store

    Your are such a good speaker and very empathetic. Your sensitivity to men with this issue is so much appreciated. I am very grateful I found you thanks to Beardbrand. You might be at stage 4, but really, you’ve got more going on upstairs than most men. Embracing stage 4 of hair loss is great bit of self acceptance. You are a wonderfully kind person. Thank you for advice that I actually use with my psychotherapy patients. More men could be helped by you than paying to see their shrinks. Many thanks,

      I totally agree, and self acceptance is the first large step to attractiveness and charisma. Majority of man face baldness at some point, some younger than the others (i'm from that lot), and one of the biggest complexe of male gender. Mahesh is not just a skilled barber he is a pillar of charisma in his own way.

    Going bald was not something I was mentally prepared for at all. Growing up I always thought going bald happened to men when they were like 50, but boy was I wrong. At 25 I started noticing my hair disappearing, and now here I am at 29 with no hair on the top of my head. It completely caught me off guard and happened so fast.

    • @Frichilsasta08
      @Frichilsasta08 2 года назад +1

      I feel you on this. I think I first noticed it at 26 and it wasn't so bad until 28 when a hair stylist at a salon confirmed that I was indeed losing hair. I couldn't live with the insecurity anymore and have been trying to embrace bald since 29 (31 now). My hair used to be so thick and you don't realize how much it differentiates you from other people until you lose it lol. Being bald really stifles self expression. You can longer style hair, cut it short, or even dye it. How many ways can bald people try and differentiate themselves from other baldies while styling a goatee/beard/moustache. Life goes on lol

    Mahesh - great topic
    I've had my head shaved for almost 25 years now, but I remember it was a hard choice to shave my hair off. As you mentioned I was balding, but I had long hair down to the middle of my back. Once I started balding, I shaved my head and never looked back.
    It can be a tough decision, but keep in mind if you don't like it, you can always grow your hair back!

  • @Slarti

    I started having a number 2 shave then a number 1, nowadays I shave my head with a disposable razor every Saturday morning.
    I am actually glad to shave my head - hair is just one more thing in life I could do without thinking about.
    I think the worst thing you can do is try to conceal your baldness, the more you try to conceal it the more those signs shouting out to everyone "look I am bald!" will increase.

    I'm confused because my hairline is fine. Barely any receding. But my hair is thinning everywhere but the sides and back. All at once. It's not the usual back bald spot or receding temples. I've been buzzing it to a 1, and it looks okay. But it's still a bummer because I used to have hair down to my waist and it was the only thing I was ever complimented on :/

    YEP , its a human tragedy , been there , done that . Sadly I had no idea at almost every stage , I never looked . At 23 a friend said Man ! You're going bald ! The crown is thin . At 28 I was caught in the rain without a hat , and I felt it on the crown because the hair was basically gone . At this stage decades later its gone . I was in denial for way too long . Buzz it short or shave it , and rock it , or you'll just look stupid . GOOD ADVICE !

    Up until the other day, this was a non-issue for me. None of the males on either side of my family had problems with hair loss. Despite those odds, I have lost nearly 50% of the hair on top of my head (could be medical or health-related, in which case some may return.) I wouldn't mind a hint of faux hawk (or whatever the term is for the style that leaves a center strip with some length) but other than that, I don't see many style options. How do you know if this would be a good look for myself? The strip of hair this would incorporate would be through the thinnest area but there still is some hair growing there.
    I have a blotchy, fullish beard, about 2.5 inches at the longest (front) and thanks to the lock down, have fuller cheeks and am about 30 lbs overweight. (Oh yeah...sometime over the pat 2-3 months I've also had a stroke or "stroke-like" episode that has thrown everything else outta whack...) My current hair is straight, fine with several cow licks. Any advice? Thanks to all and best wishes for a safe and healthy 2021!
    Be well!

      Sorry to hear all that. I was watching this to help my 46 year old son who spent his young years incarerated. Went in at around 20 and off an on for the next 25 years. Long stretches. He is out and balding and it is a sad thing. I wish someone would have replied to you already but it is just me looks like. I think short hair is harder to maintain. Long hair can be put in a pony tail. Look at your hair from the back, sides and front (take a picture) before you decide. I think you should focus on your health more than your hair. I hope all is well with you. This video is a couple years old.

    Im bald on top so i keep the sides and back cut very short, i think short hair with a big beard looks good any way 👍.

      Try adding lines or patterns on short hair round the back and sides. Makes it look cool.

    A lot of people say, well if you have lost your hair just grow a BEARD like you can just squeeze out this maximus length like creepy doll Ha! When obviously everyone is completely different. I’ve lost my hair so I razor that off and the longest my facial hair will grow is about half an inch and it’s slightly patchy lol so I just work with that and neaten it up, but don’t completely razor the face and I actually really like it

      Seriously, let it grow. I thought I had patchy facial hair and I watched Beard brand video's. They all said let it grow, and sure as shit my beard is thick!
