I love the skycam shot. You see the whole fight/chase scene. Now they just shake the camera and use fast editing.
Love this scene so much. You just think 'Go Bond!' and the music works beautifully. YOLT is my favourite Sean Connery Bond film.
Man, I grew up with these movies and this is right up there in my top 3 favorite scenes. Epic score, epic camera angles. You don't see unique shots like that often these days. Nobody dishes out the henchman ass-whuppin' like Bond.

Fleming put tremendous effort into making Bond a very human character, who often fears for his life, hates his job, drinks and smokes his sorrows and anxieties away, and might possibly die by the end of the book. He also lives a mundane life back in London, and can't wait to go abroad and indulge in hedonism and potentially save the world. The perfect mix between Le Carre and Pulp adventure.
The best Bond films reflect this.

I love this scene too. Judging from the way the actor runs, I'm going to bet that it was Sean Connery in the wide angle.
I doubt it, this was the movie where Connery was completely pissed off and had enough of being Bond. It's very likely that they shot the scene from so far away so they could use a stuntman for most of it. It made for a great scene though!
The elevated shot of Bond bitch slapping all the crazy villans is a great scene. However he was lucky that the boxes he was falling onto were not full of tins of beans. He`d have broken his fucking back big time!

I was blown away when I first saw this scene. I'd go as far as saying Christopher Nolan had this particular scene in mind when filming the Mombassa chase in Inception.
