    Perfect! My daughter just bought her first house and wants me to build her a table. I love the design! Using the pipe as a stretcher makes it so much more original than a simple beam. You are a master craftsman! Thank you

    Love your table with the pipe stretcher. Thank you for giving us the idea. Plan to use 1" black pipe. For the table top, we use C-channel underneath instead for breadboards to accommodate wood movement. There are several RUclips videos on C-Channel. But I had not thought of pipe between the legs. That is brilliant !!

    Great design. I used your design points to build our table & bench and it turned out beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

    I like the way the table came out and the use of the black pipe. So did a bench with black pipe and in order for the bench not to sway left and right I used 1/2 inch black pipe and drilled through the sides and put a pipe cap on the outside with a nipple and a coupling on the other side that way it doesn’t have a chance of walking

    Nice table bro. Do you have plans? I really want to make this table but I'm just a beginner. This is definitely in my wheelhouse but plans would be a big help.
    Keep up the good work!

    Looks good bro! The attaching of the bread board ends was skipped in the video. How did you attach them. More glue and pocket hole screws? How is it holding up a couple years later?

    Hey there, how did you attach the bases to the underside of the table board?
    Also, I saw that you had 2 pipes in the video, but there is only one visible. Did you only use one? Does the table have any sway?

    Great build! Thanks for sharing! Question: Is there an advantage to using both biscuit joiners and pocket hole screws for the table top?

    • @40redfox40
      @40redfox40 Год назад

      I would say the advantage is the biscuits help with proper alignment during assembly.

  • @mattcampbell7873
    @mattcampbell7873 5 лет назад +3

    why the pocket screws? you don't need them with glue. plus it will inhibit wood movement.

    • @theultimatemaker9153

      Just to hold the clamping pressure because I don’t have a ton of clamps. I took the screws out after 24 hours or so.

    This top will almost surely crack due to expansion and contraction with humidity changes.
    A top this wide will move nearly 3/8" here in Iowa between winter and summer.
    The bread board ends restrict any movement .

    What with some of these videos that you have to rush through it. Why not take your time and film it probably 2 videos of 15 minutes or so… I don’t understand. I just don’t get it… I don’t watch.. I just move on.
